Patch 3.3.0: As GF do you see the Object of Obession while you're shrouded?
In the new update GF will get undetacable status when shrouded. Does OoO work backwards? I mean the SV with OoO can't see you, but if you look in his direction, do you see him?

the ultimate Reverse Uno card

Yes, it works like that, I tried it with the Pig.

We gottem bois

If you can't see the aura as survivor it won't reveal the survivors aura (at least it worked like this with myers tier 1).
If the perk is lit up for the survivor then their aura is revealed.
1 -
I kinda hope that doesn't remain in live, as it could be miserable if the Pig knew at all times which boxes you were heading to.
5 -
You chose to use OoO. Gotta deal with the downsides
10 -
I thought spinechill trumps all killer stealth or was that premonition
0 -
OoO in live is a high risk high reward perk. Both people knowing where eachother are is a pretty big deal and very advantageous to the killer. The killer knowing where you are is a HUGE benefit to the killer and just hella broken.
2 -
Both. They work against undetectable.
Object of Obsession is a different perk which doesn't have that property.
1 -
Sounds like you’d be better off running alert instead of object of obsession, which already pints a tunnel target on your back
0 -
tbh I never use OoO - I'd get tunnelled every game with it lol
Alert doenst seem to work on undetectable killers either though so thats not really worth it either...
0 -
It might not always work FOR you, but it will never work AGAINST you
0 -
I think there's a bit of a gap between "downside" and "chance of survival is pretty close to zero (unless the Survivor in question is way better than the Killer)".
1 -
I have to agree. The only fair way to have it work would be to deactivate the perk when a killer is undetectable.
1 -
Ahh, tbh I've never ran into a game with anyone running the perk. I'm around rank 8. Then again I play pig and clown...not ghostface so I guess I wouldnt know lol
0 -
Pig is getting the same buffs so this will matter to you too.
0 -
That's because Myers was immune to the detection period the park didn't go off.
Whilst in undetectable you seem to be just invisible like original Freddy when a survivor was awake just like that Freddy could see you alright but you couldn't see his
0 -
I mean it wouldn't really changed much most pigs don't spend that much time in Crouch mode anyway.
0 -
I think it's more that stealth Killers hard counter for abilities now object of obsession is riskiest but one of the strongest aura reading perks in the game for survivors.
However the punishment for using such a powerful perk against the killer who hard counters it should be severe
0 -
I think that's fine normally, but the Pig specifically can spy on Trapped obsessions running OoO so they know which box to camp and force a kill on. I think that is overkill, personally.
0 -
You know you could look down whilst doing jigsaw boxes to avoid being seen or face a wall
1 -
No dice tier 1 Michael was immune to any detection perks period it's why spine chill and premonition don't work on him at least current Michael not ptb version.
0 -
In PTB spine chill and premo work against him.
0 -
Yeah, but if I see you running to a box, what good does that do?
0 -
That's kinda bad though if you think about it. OoO players will still know which direction you're coming from because the perk will light up.
0 -
Remember Old Freddy vs OoO. It works the same way Lmao.
0 -
To be fair even if it did work like then you would be safe considering object of obsession will will light up if You're Looking In The Killers Direction
0 -
But that would just lead to yet another perk never being used. We need less useless perks.

There's also 3 and a 1/3 stealth killers in a pool of 17.
Sure, you might pick OoO and completely destroy a trapper or hag. But it also might backfire and you face ghostface or wraith.
It's like how spine chill hard counters stealth killers, but the other way around.
And no stealth killer is always in stealth (besides tier1 myers). You can still use OoO when they are "active"
3 and a third killers from 17, none of them is considered top tier.
The perk will be fine
0 -
I have no problem with OoO vs Ghostface or Wraith. My problem is OoO vs. Pig.
0 -
But pig only crounches if shes around people (usually) OoO would probably work better against her than gf or wraith that are in and out of stealth all the time

The issue is that if you trap the Obsession, it is super easy to just make sure they NEVER EVER get that trap off. Like, they are just done.
