Killer hits through the pallet stun.....
This really needs to stop. It was one thing with the p2p connection system, but its unacceptable now that dedicated servers are live.

This is not a bug. Knowing the timing when to drop and when not is part of the survivor's skill.

it's a 50/50 on latency and sheer bullshit

Trades arent a problem.
Going for stuns should be risky, pallets are already way too much of a easy safe zone for Survivors as they are.
8 -
Exactly. Don't be greedy for the stun. Drop the pallet without risking getting hit or if the killer is too close already, don't drop.
4 -
It's not a bug or your ping or anything like that. It's literally down to "you dropped too late."
It's that simple. If every drop was a stun, that would be silly.

Trades can be devastating to survivors. A killer? Not so much. A killer can survive a stun and continue to Tunnel or chase you but a Survivor is either now injured or in the dying State. That's a huge difference.
3 -
I would say the exact opposite.
Going from healthy to injured isnt that big of a deal. If you are already injured, its not like a trade is forced upon you. You have the choice to either drop early or accept the risk of a trade. As a Survivor you have so many chances to come back, and thats not even including perks.
Meanwhile for Killers a stun at the wrong time can cost them the game.
3 -
Yeah, and long chases can be devastating to Killers. So can Gen times, or the fact that 3 other people are doing gens while you run around.
3 -
Also, trust me. You will not get hit through pallet every single time. I got enough pallets over my head for no gain to know that. If you get hit, you got greedy and did it too late. I've seen people have it timed TO THE NANOSECOND it feels like. Like I feel like i should have hit them but nope, Pallet to the head.
It's all timing.

And if you do get the pallet stun, then not only does the Killer get stunned for a good 3 seconds (Wasting time, which is extremely precious to the Killer) and has to waste even more time breaking the pallet, but now the Survivor has gained a huge amount of distance on the Killer, if not escaped. So the Killer has to either waste even more time trying to find the survivor again and start another chase, or give up and look for more survivors.
Both options are pretty bad.

LOL being in the injured state isn't ideal and being in the dying State can cost you the match too. Especially if you're on your last hook.
@UlvenDagoth there are a lot of things that can be devastating to both roles, but as someone who plays both actively I still think it is more devastating for Survivor to go from injured to dying then it is for a killer to eat the stun. With that said, I think it should just be fair and based on the server. The current system is killer Authority and that is a really poorly designed system.
@CatHound22 I forgot to add that the dedicated servers don't yet reflect the new hit detection and other enhancements to the game. Right now they're just testing capacity I believe? They haven't made any adjustments to the core experience.

I have never had a problem finding the Survivor who stunned me. Like I said it's just my opinion, I think that it is far more devastating for Survivor to go into the dying state.

You dont have to go into the dying state though. If you are dropping the pallet late for a stun, you accept the risk of getting hit. Drop the pallet earlier and you are safe.

It depends on what perks the survivor is running, honestly. If the survivor is a runner with DS, Unbreakable, Adrenaline and Dead Hard, then going into the dying state really isn't that big a deal.

... it's not ping. It's you dropped it too late. That's Literally all. You have survivor mains telling you this. Stop blaming you doing it late on lag. It's not a bug.
1 -
That's easy to say but more difficult in the match. As a Survivor, we're at the mercy of The Killers connection and the Killer is the authority. And the latency can vary from match to match. I remember going against the Wraith and I dropped the pallet what felt like really early but he still teleport it through it and hit me lol

The current experience in the live game is that the Killer is the authority and the host of the match. So yes latency plays a huge role in what actually plays out during the match.
0 -
Nope. It is not the case, and in fact hasn't dedicated servers been active for a bit now? For testing? Pretty sure it was in live not too long ago. So if you had it during then, you really can't blame lag.
I'm really getting the feeling that you arn't gonna listen no matter how many times you are told by several different people that you are wrong in this. Unless you happily jump face first into red ping, latency doesn't matter as much.
Also, guess what? Even a Dev said that the Killer and YOUR net matters when you join a game (When servers are not being tested) So maybe if you are wanting to blame it so hard on lag, you should check your own net.
But seriously, you have people on Survivor telling you that you are wrong. Just, listen and learn from the post and try and drop earlier.

Dedicated servers aren't live, they're still being tested in ptb. They're only testing capacity right now, they've made it very clear that they're not testing hit detection and other latency issues. Besides the fact that I'm on PS4, and there are absolutely no servers on this platform. You should educate yourself a little bit more on networking and algorithms related to gaming before you try schooling me about it.

How about you keep this civil? I haven't insulted you once this whole time.
Now then, you are on PS4. Cool, So that is prolly either frame rate.... you know what? I'm not gonna bother. You are resorting to insults that make no sense, and assuming that I don't know what I am talking about as well as ignoring what a Dev said and what other people are telling you.
You are like talking to a brick wall, but even more pointless cause you could understand if you just tried. So, have fun in the Fog, i'm done talking to you.

No, it is really the game's fault if you get hit after the killer gets stunned. The same thing also happens often on windows. There are so many stupid hits caused by ping issues and they must be fixed with the servers.

They are talking about being hit as they drop the pallet. As you have seen from others in this same post, it's timing. I'm done talking about this cause yall aren't listening. Just drop it earlier. The End.

Latency is not something the devs can fix. Just learn to drop pallets early instead of going for the stun each time.
1 -
You can still get ridicilous hits while dropping pallets but it's still related to the ping and happens all the time, not just while dropping pallets. I'm sure they are talking about those, why would anyone complain if they can see the killer actually hitting them?
Do you even play survivor at all? If you do, you'll know what I'm talking about.
1 -
Hmm? Yeah I play survivor but i'm terrible at it. From what i can see, this post was started cause someone got hit as they dropped a pallet. Cool, that happens. It's not a bug as alot of people here has said.
I'm not talking about your 5 feet away and get hit through a window or something stupid like that. THAT is ping.

I play risky when Im full hp, but bit more safe when injured. Yeah sometimes I drop good pallets earlier, but that means 3 survivors are not pressured at all.
0 -
That's very silly if they started this post because of that but I doubt it.

Literally had a game where I dropped the pallet and got the killer stun but still got injured even though the killer did not have an animation for the swing.
The killer was stunned but did not drop the survivor and so essentially I dropped it too early? But I got hit anyways so i dropped it too late?
It's not about skill, something clearly got hard fkd. It makes no sense right now.

Well unless they tell me different, that's what I got from this post.
