So, this is the first time I have ever posted about a complaint but this is also the worst and most ridiculous thing I have ever dealt with. So playing trapper, with Ruin, Save the best for last, Pop, and sloppy butcher. So far one of my favorite builds that have delay and some decent strength.


So during the match I had started setting traps at loops obviously (trapper things) on my way I heard a gen almost done, and in the best interest I began pressuring the gen and instantly there was this tapp that I finished a chase in just a matter of no more than 15 seconds when he ran into a trap. and in that time the gen got finished by the second guy working it, so I hooked the tapp and began going to the barn to continue a patrol, heard a another gen almost done and BOOM it was done, this was two gens instantly. So then I began that chase which ended in easily another 10 seconds as he ran into a trap I placed in between two stacks of hay-bails. and after I hooked him i got pop and before I could begin walking away he got pulled of and right after that another gen got finished. That was three gens. And after finishing that chase by downing after he jumped out a window. There was a gen in front of me that I heard clicking and BOOM it finished, and then to follow was one more by the door to escape.


This match lasted a total of I would guess three minutes and it was over, door was open by the time I stopped standing in awe of how out of this world how fast that match ended.


How does one counter this? Or if there is no way to counter this I want to hear suggestions on what a killer can do to try and prevent this.

    Sounds like some of my Legion games in Red Ranks. I'd like to know how to handle that too that isn't "Git Gud" or "Play Spirit/Billy/Nurse/Freddy"

    to be honest after awhile you get use to these types of games no point of getting mad

    I think you lost too much time on setup. I would maybe suggest corrupt intervention when playing trapper/hag (maybe even demo). It allows you to set up your traps early without survivors being able to work on (and almost complete) distant gens. It works for me - give it a try and let me know what you think.

    Trapper loses at lot of time in the beginning of the match with setting traps. So Corrupt Intervention can be a decent choice for him.

    So in my build what would you suggest changing out for it?


    I kinda of like the set up to try and keep a momentum once combat starts plus keeping the stacks of STBFL is super easy, cause what trips me out about that game in my 1600 hours. Is how fast they went, quick chases full ruin and even the last 2 gens got done in just mere moments I had two people constantly down and hooked and such. I don't know if it would be long enough?


    Grant it I don't see those types of games often but red ranks are getting good and ruin is becoming a thing of the past against them. I've had a few matches that went by fast but not like 3 minutes fast.

    You got survivors who know how to hold M1 and hit ruin checks.

    Don't worry about changing your build.

    Was the map Fractured Cowshed? Cause that map is just terrible anyways.

    I know it seems like gens go way too fast but increasing objective time for survivors right now is no option. It would imbalance too many things. Maps are what need to be reworked, and at least according to the devs they are working on it.

    It also sounds like survivors probably got a lot of progression done while you were setting up traps, which has always been a problem for Trapper. And maybe you didn't apply pressure optimally. But of course I don't know that.

    It is agreed on by many though that Trapper is also one of the weaker killers, who could use some buffs.

    @Monika If you like your current perk build, just replace Ruin with Corrupt Intervention.

    If you want to give it a try: Replace Sloppy with Infectious Fright. Slugging can buy you a lot of time. Infectious Fright is a great perk on pretty much every killer.

    Trapper is not that good atm. I'm playing him with Sloppy, Thana, Nurses and Ruin. Purple bag and faster traps. Works okay, but not against good survivors.
