What happens when the killer camps and you let the survivor die? Statistics
If you do gens (3 survivors doing gens vs 1 hooked) and leave the hooked one to die (which is BS and a deuche move to do) you have 2 full minutes till he dies to do gens, which means that to get the 5 gens with teamwork you need 33.33 seconds per gen (all 3 other survivors doing a gen together) + run time to get to the next one (10 seconds aproximately) doing a total of 44.33 seconds per gen, which takes 221 seconds.
THIS CANNOT REALLY HAPPEN, after 120 seconds the camped survivor will be dead, which means the team could've done only 3 gens, and supposing the killer camps a 2nd survivor, it takes now 44.44 seconds per gen to be done + 10 seconds to go to the 5th gen THAT IS GOING TO BE A "3 GENNED" last gen if you ran to the gen right next to you to do gens as fast as you could.
Based on this NUMBERS, a camper will ALWAYS get at least 2k if the team focuses on only doing gens and leaves camped survivors to die (and supposing the hooked ones don't stop spamming the button to struggle) and to do them as fast as they can they will have to get 3 gened almost every time.
AND GUESS WHAT! This is all subjective and therefore a lie because this numbers are calculated for 3 persons doing a gen at the same time and all of them next to each other! There are actually 2 men gens and 1 man gens!
YES CAMPING is BS!
Care for numbers? There you go:
There will be people who will say "They can bring toolboxes or perks to aid", sure... That happens so many times in SWF... It even happens more on solo!
You just have to deal with campers, facts.
EDIT: Yes, you have to add many variables, the time the killer takes for the first hook to happen, the rank and experience on the players. if the killer is a good or bad camper, etc. What I want people to know is that it's not as simple as saying "just do gens", it's a situation WAY more complex than people believe it is. How about if the killer has RUIN and/or Corrupt Intervention?

Depends on how many gens are done before the Killer catches someone. They're also definitely not guaranteed another kill just because the 1st one died.

I'd let you hang just cause I don't owe you a unhook.

You forgot the statistics of the start of the match, how long it takes the killer to get somebody (even the first person) There is so many missing statistics here I'll be as old as my grandma if I list them

You want to individually do three gens. After the hook survivor dies the killer can only interupt one survivor. That survivor should do their best to waste as much time as possible for the other two to finish their gens.

Yep, true, my point was the focus on what doing gens implies in terms of time, I also didn't add ranks and many other things, but what I want is for people to know it's not as simple as saying "Handle the camper, just do gens", it's way more complicated than that

If every Survivor does one gen while the Killer camps, you WILL get 3 gens done. If he does it again, you get out.

Sir, you're implying the hooked one will struggle, if he just lets go your strat is done for. Also, coordinating three people on different gens is already difficult for SWF, add RUIN...
My point is not to say you shouldn't do it, my point is to let people know it depends on the situation and context of the game, it's not as simple as "just do the gens"
Also... In what you wrote you gave the killer a 2k

if the team is organized swf , using your numbers you could get 4 gens done but only with organization . 3 one a gean each for 80 secs for the first 3 and the 4 triple teamed , and this is assuming there is 0 progress on any gens on the map by the time the first person is actually hooked . If for instance three are half done by the first hook then in theory you could even get 5 gens . but once again this is a organized swf group vs a camping killer and that never happens in this game ...
That being said it also depends on what someone considers a win , me personally I would rather advance on with my killers and get new perks as fast as I can . once I have them all perked out I will take a second look at what I think is valid . But as it stands camping to me is useless , I get more bp's the longer the game last , the more hooks I get . Ive used ebony mori and get 1 hook each and a 4k and the game was over fast , I de pipped , I got maybe 10-12k bp and it felt like a cheap win , so I don't use them unless I need a kill by your own hands and when I do I try to wait for the last hook to mori for bp's sake , unless someone really was just toxic and then I get them out of the game fast so I can enjoy the rest of it .
As far as how to deal with a camper , that is the survivors call , if they want to gen rush and get the game over causing the killer and maybe themselves to depip while he camps the hook . or to go for the saves and hand him more hits and more bp's for it , just feeding him . As a solo survivor if hes camping I can understand why they would gen rush they don't have the organization needed to get killer away , as a organized swf I can see them going for the saves as they have the advantage of their organization , but other then that I don't really see much of any options .

2K with two escapes, and zero gens is a de-pip. That's two hook events. If the player who is being camped let's go, it is no longer the Killer's fault. Ruin will slow you down, however, you have a 40 second grace period. You WILL get those gens done.

CLEARLY the camper ain't looking for piping... He just wanted to mess with the team, and 2 annoyed persons are wprse than 1.
My point is not that leaving them on hook ain't the answer, my point is that it is situational, if he's a good camper there's nothing you can do, just do the gens and get 2 or 3 escapes, if he's not a good camper don't let your teammates to die, at least try to save them

I really think there should be a stacking, permanent gen speed bonus that gets steadily applied whenever the killer stands near the hook with no other survivors in the area.

Yeah we definitely need to make the gens go faster, everyone always talks about how long gens take to do.......🤦

An indiscriminately face camping killer exists completely outside of that debate in my opinion.

I hear what you're saying but it would be to easily exploited by a good survivor team and as it is a good swf team can gen rush a match super quick. Gen times should be longer, under no circumstances should they be sped up!

What I'm saying is that if the killer choose to indiscriminately face camp (which is a choice that the killer makes, not the survivors), the game should tilt the advantage so far in the survivors' favor that the killer has no chance.

Damn, I thank you for doing this amount of work just to prove how dumb the system actually is, and how toxic camping is. But I guess as killer you'll just safety pip and get nothing more for camping two people a game nonstop. Plus if you add in the straight factor of boredom, you might as well just uninstall the game because there's no way being a massive douche like that is entertaining enough to do it nonstop. Quite the work my friend. People like seeing this type of stuff!

I doubt the killer pips unless the survivors feed them. Staying at the hook removes emblem points from sacrifice.

Its better to calculate it as it takes 80 seconds per gen, with 5 gens for a total of 400 survivor seconds to power the doors.
If the killer is camping someone for 120 seconds, 3 survivors will output 360 seconds of work.
If it took the killer 20 seconds to find the first survivor, 4 survivors would have output 80 seconds of work.
If the first chase was only 45 seconds long (with all pallets up this should be easy unless say a ghostface gets the drop on them) then 3 survivors would output 135 seconds of work. (A good survivor can easily double this number)
360 + 80 + 135 = 575. Remember it only takes 400 for all gens to be done.
This doesnt account for many things like time to find gens, ruin, time to pick up and hook the downed survivor, gen efficiency penalty (negated by prove thyself), great skillchecks, or toolboxes. But as campers tend to be bad/low rank the chances of ruin are lower, and as the chances of multiple toolboxes (which can add as much as or over 40 seconds of work time each) are fairly high, It in general seems to work out in the survivors favor.
Anyway, time wise, camping a single survivor 'should' pretty much promise a 3 man escape. I find what turns it into 2 man escapes is mostly when 2-3 survivors stop working gens for half a minute to run to the hooked survivor and watch the camp before they give up and return to gens (thus losing out on a good 60-200 seconds of gen work time)

What I'd love devs to think about is a way of "punishing" face campers, it could even be a small explanation on how the BP won't come to them if they do so.
