Literally have never had a day where each of my games has had a toxic player or message.. it’s quite insane.

I think most people have their stuff blocked from randoms messaging them on steam/console which sucks because people lose out on social interaction ):

The game is struggling to balance for solo survivor, swf with comms, and killers. the three will never be balanced, so nearly every match ends with at least one person salty. It's been a lot more balanced now than it has been in the past, but its impossible to please everyone while it remains categorically impossible, so you're pretty much always going to get someone upset with the game's outcome.
All you can really do is ignore the salt and move on to the next one. Granted, kinda wish it was easier for killers to do so when they might have wasted their addons on a bad game and need to grind out more webs to get them back, but eh. At least when i play survivor i go in with no items so there is no risk.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Game is always toxic. Not just between survivor and killer, had a 3 man swf cry at me for camping near hatch after they spent the whole game suicide saving on a hard camping/tunneling killer. I had done ruin and 3 gens by myself. (Noone else did s single gen) If one of them would have done gens, we probably could have pulled some big balls save and gotten 3 out. But they played dumb and then got mad at me for not serving myself up to the killer.

I honestly switch back and forth. Lately ive been on a good streak. Have been thanked by people I carried to the hatch several occasions now. And have gotten GGs.
But im sure I'll switch it back to blocked when someone starts trying to BM me. Lol I have anxiety issues and im an introvert. I specifically switched to console to not deal with post game chat. Its nice to have an option on when to shut out society and when to let them in.

Can confirm, everyone on PS4 has their messaging set to private and even I set my messages to private because of how toxic people are. In fact, I even had to disable friend requests because people could send little messages in there too. It's honestly sad, really.

Been encountering WAY more Survivors DCing soon as things go south for them or the game as a whole. At least every game where it looks to be a 3-4K at least 1-2 DC.

I personally keep mine open so that people from the forums can message me or people who wanna talk about the match afterwards, I just respond “gg” to hate-mail.

I remember after rank reset the last survivor dc'd on me to prevent me from hooking them because they "escaped" me. I dropped them to kill the afk survivor and was going to give them hatch this was a rank 17 game.

I had someone dc because me and a friend ran no mither, my friend also got messaged by that person. We had prove thyself and resilience so I thought that other survivors would understand what we were doing.😂

I could be wrong but didnt i have to always hide it after every trial. Because even when leaving the end game lobby my eyes would catch words there and thats enough to trigger my anxiety. Lol really the game without the chat itself is bad for me but it helps not being subjected to peoples toxicity on top of it.

I encountered a no mither-sabo-rush-duo once when I played survivor. Never would I have expected the game to go as well as it did. It was a Michael Myers and he literally started meme-ing because of the hook destroying no mithers. At the end of the game Myers kept knocking his head against a gate. I was like "well... Guess the No Mithers broke his mind". Most hilarious game I've ever had as survivor. Also love that killer who started meme-ing haha.

I don't know if it still works, but you can go to "C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor" and open the GameUserSettings.ini. Then change "ChatDefaultVisibility" from True to False.

Is it just me? I'm not having a problem with toxicity. Nobody is sending toxic messages in chat.
There is a rare exception maybe once every twenty game where someone will say something not so nice, like taunting the killer after chat for camping. It is not common. Maybe Asians aren't as Toxic as other parts of the world?

For the killers on PS4 who camp hooks, ya'll deserve the hate mail. Not saying I send it I just report and move on. Community is toxic enough. I try and play survivor to get BP for my killers as im newer to the game but PS4 has been so bad for camping hooks until the 2xp event.

ps4 has a lot of camping wraiths for me i was like "wow ok really?" Today there was a clown he also saw me if i was near him despite not facing me while i got close (staring at the hook) then just turned and stopped his bottle animation to come after me (at which point i was out of his line of sight and behind an object)
The game was pretty laggy that game though so who knows.
