Learning Plague would like some suggestions and help.

I've decided to start playing Plague and was wondering if the community would be able to provide some Tips, Suggestions, Helpful Insight, and builds.

Shes currently level 50 and I have all teachables unlocked I just need to invest in her. So was hoping to the community could give me insight on this killer.

    Ruin, BBQ, Thana, Dying Light.

Early on, your goal is just to spread infection. Don't commit too long to chases unless you know you can down them early. Don't rely on Corrupt, it's iffy if they'll cleanses. Your job is to slow the match down as much as possible, as quickly as possible. Hence, Ruin, Thana, and DL.

Puke on gens. They can act as both a deterrent and provide some map awareness. Remember that you can puke on totems as well.

For addons, I like to use an apple, and something to benefit Vile. Increased efficiency on it is great. If you use Black Incense, swap out BBQ for PGTW.

Infected make a lot of noise. Use that to your advantage.

If you have Corrupt up, respect pallets. A stun knocks it out of you. If you're close enough to be pallet stunned, you're close enough to respect it and vomit on them.

Watch for green smoke. Great visual cue to their location, especially if they try to hide in a locker.

Only broken survivors can spread infection, which is why you want to spread as much of it as you can early on.

Strategize corrupted pool locations. If there's one near an exit gate, leave it. If they're opening that gate later in the match, that's the time to use it.

Remember that you can infect survivors just by them touching something infected. You can scare them off loops just by infecting a pallet or window. Use that.

You're tall. Much more so than most other killers, so try and use the environment to hide you from a distance. Trees, walls, buildings, junk, etc.

Work out the range of your vomit. It has distance, and can reach over walls. Once you know it, wiggle your mouse in a 90 degree cone. Makes it easier to hit if they attempt to dodge.

Thanatofobia- If they decide not to cleanse they mess with fixing gens

    NOED- End game prevention

Corrupt Intervention- Bring them to you

Unrelenting- She´s slow as hell, you need her to have missed hits advantage to compensate

Like some already said, Ruin, thanatophobia, dying light and pop goes the weasel, this is probably one of the strongest builds for her, puke on the survivor and leave them.once all survivors become broken thanatophobia starts working properly, then you start chasing and hooking so that dying light can start working, ruin for the early game where you puke on gens and survivors, pgtw to help mid game when ruin gets cleansed

I run BBQ, Thana, DL, PGtW.

Starting the match, 9 times out of 10 all the survivors spawn near the gen furthest from you. Because of this, I always walk to that gen, doing a quick sneeze on all gens I pass along the way. This means when the survivors scatter they either have to get sick to do gens, or they just stall doing them at all.

When you reach the gen they're on, hit as many people with puke as you can, and also the gen they're on. If it has progress this will usually keep healthy survivors from completing it.

Commit to one survivor and break them. If you find you are chasing the obsession, make sure they are sick before abandoning the chase so they will eventually break and contribute to Thana.

If you find you're chasing someone who is very good at looping/stalling you out, leave them. Early game is the most critical. You either need someone who will go down fast to bring up your DL stacks, or someone who will waste a lot of pallets fast so that chases with better players become far easier.

Each time you get a hook, you should be trying to make use of PGtW to reset the gens. As your slow gets stronger every hook, each time you pop a gen it adds more and more time to its completion.

Ideally, you want the last few gens to be in a smaller area. As you build up Dying Light, survivors tend to panic that they're too slow and will often start to cleanse to lessen Thana. By keeping the gens close together, you are able to monitor their progress so that you can kick the highest with Pop and cripple their progress, but it also means you can keep all 3 infected at once. This means every time they cleanse they HAVE to become sick or just immerse. Either one is a win for you.

Grab Corrupt when you can, ideally when 3-4 people are sick as it means you can down them incredibly fast. Don't bother if it's over the other side of the map. Remember to use Corrupt if you see 4-5 fountains lit up, as it means one or two more will force you into the buff and reset all fountains, losing you a LOT of uses of it.

Generally this works pretty well, it's all just based on your ability to snowball and keep resetting gens with Pop. I find it FAR more effective than Ruin as it lasts all match and gets stronger over time with the build, where Ruin only slows the first few seconds, something you achieve with vomit anyway.

Why am I seeing so many Plague posts today?? Has something changed that I'm not aware of?

She's become more popular due to Dying Light being buffed. Works well with both her Vile and Thana.

    I run:

    -Monitor & Abuse

    -Thanatophobia

    -Ruin/Dying Light

    -Pop Goes the Weasel

I find Monitor and abuse to be very helpful with plague. Dying light, thanatophobia, ruin, PGTW and PWYF are all good choices.

The new Dying Light works really well with her because the trade off is barely an impact.

It also means you cripple their speed over time so they get much more motivated to cleanse, meaning she isn't as completely boring because you actually get to use Corrupt occasionally.

No idea on others, but I am enjoying her as I attempt to get her adept. So wanted to know her better.

Puke on literally everything. Generator? Puke. Totem? Puke. Window or pallet? Puke. It keeps them off stuff and lets you know when they get on stuff. Best build is probably Ruin, Dying Light, Thanatophobia, and either BBQ or PGTW. You can't puke around corners, get that ingrained in your head ASAP. Get a feel for your vomit range and how the hit boxes work, because they can be wonky. If you have a survivor in a straightaway, one fully charged Vile Purge can put then into Broken. If they cleanse, use Corrupt Purge when at least 2 people are infected and respect pallets. Other than that, have fun as Vommy Mommy :)

I would use something like this:

    Ruin/BBQ

    Dying Light

    Thanatophobia

    PGTW

Ruin can help you in the early game, but you could replace it with BBQ if you don’t think you’ll need it or want to become a tracking god with BBQ + Black Incense.

Dying Light is almost a must have on her. The downside isn’t as crippling because of everyone being sick. DL combined with Thana can scare Survivors into cleansing because they don’t like the slow repair speed.

Thanatophobia punishes them for staying sick. This plus DL can encourage Survivors to cleanse. The Survivors will have to choose between not cleansing but having to deal with long gen times or cleansing but having to deal with a 115% ranged Killer.

PGTW is a really good perk in general but Plague can extra use out of it because of her slowdown potential. It already takes a while to repair a gen with Thana and DL, but now the Survivors have to worry about you taking away 25% of their progression after you hook someone?

For add-ons, I would go with one of the Apples (start with one corrupted fountain) and the Vile Emetic (increases effectiveness of Vile Purge, meaning that the Survivor gets sick quicker). You could probably replace one of them with Black Incense (see puking Survivors’ auras) if you want to be a tracking god.

Normally I can get a killers trophy within 1-3 matches.
