Double Pallets are back everyone

Say yay if you're a survivor, and oh no if you're the killer. They're back in force.

Also I got 3 T L walls right next to each other. I haven't seen map generation this bad since 2016.

Meaning the map had a low number of Pallets, so it was forced to put another one there.

Also welcome to the McMillan Estate. Please enjoy our jungle gyms and pitch black mood lighting. They are on the house!

It (pallet spawns) are based on an algorithm. If you watched or read anything from the Devs you should know that..

The map actually didn’t have enough pallets, so that particular tile received two.

I have seen it on Rotten Fields a couple times.

each individual map has a minimum and a maximum amount of pallets that can be placed.

since maps are build randomly, sometimes there will be more tiles with possible pallet spawns and sometimes less. in your case, only very few possible pallet tiles have spawned in, so the game could not reach the minimum number of pallets while also keeping the minimum distance between pallets.

due to there only being so few, the game will proceed to force pallet spawns on other possible pallet spawn places, even if they are within 15 meters to a different pallet.

    conclusion:

if you find such a double pallet spot, this means the map has the least pallets possible on it. this is more in your favor than in the survivors favor, honestly.

It’s because the game was forced to put a pallet there in order to meet the minimum requirements. It’s kinda common on Rotten Fields because that map is just a bunch of corn.

Why does no one ever ask why the minimum number of pallets is set so high that double pallets would even be possible? Kind of tells you the minimum number is high AF.

Guarantee you the minimum number is something ridiculous like 16 - 18

the minimum number varies from map to map.

its not that the number was "too high", but because the map tiles are generated randomly, which means that sometimes there will be enough to fit a pallet in every single one of them, sometimes its too many, so there will be some without pallets and sometimes there are not enough, so there will be more than one pallet in one.

the most common case is that we have pallet tiles somewhere between the minimum and maximum number of possible pallets, so every one of them has one. especially on larger maps, like the blood lodge though, its more common to have places with no pallet, which would mean the game has the maximum amount of possible pallets.

and a very rare case is the one OP showed to us.

Yeah, I should and do know that. I was just pointing out that I hadn't seen double pallets in a long time, and now I just did. You didn't have to come in acting demeaning about it. Thanks.

Ah you knew, but decided to make a post about it? Alrighty then.

It is an extremely rare occurrence. When I came back to the game after 9 months I saw it on a jungle gym in Rotten Fields.

I can’t remember seeing another in the past 2 months of playing again.
