Does Insidious break chase?

I've been wondering if activating insidious breaks chase, and if so to what extent. like will it still work if you're looking at them at the time, do you have to be a certain distance or does it just not effect the chase at all?

you see, I would test it myself but I'm very lazy

    So you mean if you're chasing someone..... and then stop for 4 seconds and stand completely still.

    I'm pretty sure the chase will be broken even without insidious because in the 4 seconds of you standing still, they would have gotten away.

    But to answer your question, yes. If you're in the insidious mode, you have no terror radius or red stain and even if they run directly in front of you, I don't think it gives you chase points

    It would work like any other stealth ability you can't proc The Chase if they're in stealth.
