New Killer: The Siren (2!)

The Siren

Standard Killer:

  • 115% movement speed
  • 32 meter terror radius
  • Melee weapon: tentacle arm

Primary Power: Siren’s Well

  • The Siren can place one Siren’s Well (similar in shape and size to Demagorgon’s upside down portal), takes 5 seconds to cast
  • The Siren’s Well can be destroyed (similar to Demagorgon’s upside down portal) only by the cooperative actions of at least two survivors, takes 14 seconds to destroy, progress is cumulative (similar to chest search)
  • Once destroyed, Siren’s Well has a 30 second cool down before another well can be placed
  • The Siren’s Well emits a soothing song to lull the survivors into a false sense of security. This song acts similarly to a terror radius, where it gets louder the closer you get to the well and has a range of 32 meters
  • The Siren will also hear the song when she is within the well’s range
  • The Siren’s Well song will completely obscure the killer’s terror radius audio (but will not effect perks that rely on being within the killer’s terror radius)
  • Survivors’ fear is calmed in the well’s song, and they leave no scratch marks in the song’s radius
  • While hearing the Siren’s Well song, survivors find it difficult to want to pursue escape. Survivors cannot open the hatch or exit gates within the song’s area of effect (but can make progress towards opening gates), and skill checks when repairing generators are 25% more common and have no great skill check zone (unless effected by Hex: Ruin)
  • If there is only one survivor left in the trial, the Siren’s Well becomes inactive and has no effects

Secondary Power: Siren’s Call

  • The Siren can channel the Siren Well’s song. By holding the alternate command button, the Siren can switch the areas of her terror radius and the Siren Well’s song. The Siren will emit the Siren Well’s song for a range of 32 meters and the Siren’s Well will emit a terror radius of 32 meters
  • A Siren’s Well must be placed to use this ability
  • All effects of the Siren’s Well will occur originating from the Siren, and all terror radius effects will originate from the Siren’s Well
  • While using Siren’s Call, the Siren cannot attack and has a 20% movement speed reduction
  • Using Siren’s Call when there is one survivor left in the trial will reveal the survivor’s aura but will not have any other effects


Perks

Come a Little Closer: While inside the killer’s terror radius but not in a chase, survivors suffer from the hindered status effect. Survivors outside of the killer’s terror radius have a 5/4/3% haste status effect.

Avenge Avarice: While a survivor is hooked, survivors greater than 40 meters away from the hooked survivor receive a 5/6/7% penalty to repairing, searching, and unlocking speed.

Hex: Irrational Sympathy: While this hex is active, when a survivor successfully stuns a killer the survivor suffers a stun effect lasting 50/75/100% the duration of the killer stun.


Spac3chicken beat me to the Siren idea in their post a couple days ago, but we have very different concepts! I mostly focused on the technical game ideas here, but I'm sure I will think about the cosmetics/backstory in the future. Spac3chicken did a great job of that in their post.
