For starters, hatch can spawn anytime, so slugging with 5 gens left is a smart idea and powerful idea

its dumb af..and its boring af..killers cry about dcing and all these other items/addons but yet they can slug the entire game. Yeah its TOTALLY fun!

Forcing multiple survivors to be down or on hook can lead to nothing being done and everyone being open prey

That is not how every game is, totem placement rarely is that good to keep it concealed all game. Also if every killer brings ruin then bring small game it's not difficult

IM not talking about getting rid of ruin I can work through it. But it seems like I get the potato teammates that can't.
I'm talking about how killers CRY about dc'ing because it makes them lose points and how its not fair nor fun..But yet 8/10 games that I play killers do nothing but SLUG the second that they find someone.
I went a whole game on the ground because the nurse didn't want to pick me up..I was never hooked and seconds away from bleeding out so I just dc'd and yet I'm the one who was in the wrong.
Mkay, If killers want the DC's to stop then maybe they should change their game play JUST A BIT.
I don't slug when I play killer, Not at all..I either kill as many as I can OR i lose trying..Its a learing game, and you'll never learn NOR get BETTER if all you do is slug 4 people on the ground

If a killer has back to back active targets to chase... they really SHOULD be downing ppl. Just because theyre in a decent position atm, doesnt mean a Myers with an active T3 for example should ignore the survivors they see.

Until something is done, Im not saying that they CAN'T slug. But that early in the game is stupid. So If Im slugged and not picked up. I DC i really don't care who Im hurting at that point because I'd rather move on to a game that I could get actual points from.

Thats the thing tho..these games Im playing Im downed and then the killer will HIT SOMEONE but then down me again and basically stay where I am and not chase anyone..it makes ZERO SENSE..and Im not about to be playing games like that.

At least then I can get my 3 attempts and just let go. But yet Dc'ing is such a bad thing in this game no matter what is going on that half the time i dont wanna do it, but i do because i'd rather play a game where I can get points..

So your problem with slugging as opposed to hooking is that you cant suicide on the ground? Not trying to put words in your mouth or anything, just trying to figure out the logic.

Lay on the ground and be slugged at 5 gens with no way of doing anything

This is called snowballing, if the Killer is lucky they'll line up down after down after down to effectively destroy an entire time and even stop generator progress by simply just hooking someone than downing and hooking another right after...
It keeps people off generators and forces them to go and save them, slugging is kind of similar in that regard, you slug the Survivor to keep them off generators while you can focus on other Survivors.
Your goal as the Killer is to down and hook Survivors... So if you have the opportunity to down every Survivor than why wouldn't you do it?

Survivors might not like getting slugged, but i'm sure killers don't like getting their game derailed by 1 survivor running in a circle. Unbreakable and no mither can both counter slugging.

I don't even play the game to earn rank anymore.
After 1.5k hours on steam I don't care about rank. I just want the points and to me its not worth it. It really isn't but if people are still that anal about their ranks then maybe they should make a ranked and unranked so that people don't have to deal with that ######### if they are just trying to play and have fun.

I run no mither in my meme build. Seems to be the only time I get tunneled after that its just slugging if Im using a normal build. Yeah its a counter but I shouldn't have to use 2 perks that "might" help with it. Its either you get slugged til everyone is down/dead or you get tunneled to death off your hooks.
I miss the days where this game was actually fun, I only came back because I don't wanna be a complete potato when the event comes out.

Thanks it was a great time! Killers shouldn't be rewarded for having people slugged the entire game. Just like those survivors who hide all game shouldn't be rewarded and their not. So hand in hand.

My bad. It is clearly your teammates that are bad at the game.
I can see them now, missing ruin checks and complaining about constant full game slugging while acknowledging that perks exist to counter/mitigate it, but actively choosing not to run them.
Really, though, given your mindset, I don't see you reaching your goal before the event comes out.

I went away and came back to killers slugging all 4 survivors while there is 5 gens left and their ruin is still up. Im not a god, I do miss skill checks but I've been getting better at them. Chases Im still working on it. But dude, really you gotta be that big of a douche <3

So you'd rather not take perks that could help and just want to DC and complain about it? There are way to many broken loops points in this game and the only to counter them is to slug people.
Someone in the forum said recently that the game will die out if the devs keep making maps with only unsafe loops. when that is the survivors attitude is it any wonder killers slug

Ive said it before IMO IMO!!! LEMME SAY THIS AGAIN IMO! its not worth it. I'd rather get more points. I think its a stupid tatic I'd rather get as many points as I possibly can SURVIVOR OR KILLER, If I lose or die so be it. But I'm not gonna spend my time on the ground once I get downed its stupid. Esp if there is 5 gens left there is so much more you could be doing as a killer than slugging someone then patrolling them.

No it doesn't as i have said many many many many times I don't care if a killer wants to slug. But I think its pointless so early in the damn game. Holy cow, You are twisting this all sorts of way to make it seem like I'm in entitled survivor when Im not. I play both sides 50/50 im the same rank as survivor and killer..Both rank 7.

Why are you getting mad at everyone else when the way you wrote it down on the post sounds like you'd rather DC then attempt any kind of counter play.
Do you know how many posts come of people saying they face NOED every game and there is no counter and it should be removed. Then when people tell them to equip small game their response is don't want to use the counter perk on something that might happen even though they said it happens every game.
You need to rewrite your post because it sounds like those NOED post. Doesn't matter if you like slugging because it's a legitimate strategy. I don't like looping but you don't see me writing a post saying i DC when survivors loop because it's unfun.

Seems like you're going to DC if things don't go your way.
You should at least stick around to see what perks and add ons are allowing your teams to get slugged so consistently in order to learn what's going wrong.

No it actually sounds nothing like those posts..If I get hit with NoEd that's my fault I blame no one else well maybe teammates for not getting totems but I don't blame the killer. And I have stated in other comments that I have tried the no-mither and unbreakable..I get tunneled and when I use unbreakable I don't ever get to use it because well sometimes teammates arent the best. And yea its my fault for getting caught. As I have said before Im not saying Im some kind of god at this game. Hell IM not even saying that Im good at this game, All I said was that I can i say this again !!I!!!! feel that its stupid to slug well "snowball" so early in the game because then EVERYONE not just myself EVERYONE loses out on points.. And that I don't do it. But yeah have your feels, no one can tell you to feel other wise. Im not saying that anyone is wrong, Just stating how I once again !!!I!!!!! feel about this whole new thing that's started since I came back.

Why does the number of gens matter when it comes to playing optimally and using your time wisely. A killer SHOULD be trying to utilize their time as best they can. If that means to down someone and start a chase immediately, as opposed to hook the first person and lose track of the 2nd...thats the play.

This actually never happens to me. Just run Unbreakable and get over it. You say it sucks that you have to run Unbreakable, but nowadays every killer HAS TO RUN Ruin because the Gens pop like virgins on prom night. Not to mention the old line up of chests and maps and insta-heals and all the goodies survivors get to bring. Maybe find a buddy and play two man SWF, if you guys are a capable, you should be able to counter a sluggish monster pretty easily with the comms.
I will agree that it sounds boring af, and I wouldn't ever want to slug to win as Killer. You don't even get as many points playing that way, but people gunna do what they do. You don't need to cry about it. I have matches where I am the killer and the gens are down to 2 or 3 before I even get a chance to scratch a survivor. What do people say then? Well...apply more pressure. No #########.
It's a broken game not worth crying about.

Yes it sucks that the killer sluggs 60 seconds into a match but if the survivors are just gonna DC rather then use the perks to counter it then why shouldn't they keep doing it.

First you're running under the assumption that everybody who dc's disconnected because they was slugged.
I have had people disconnect because;
They got downed first
They tried to BM and failed
The Game
The Memorial Institute
Me playing Legion
Me playing Spirit
Me playing Freddy
Me playing nurse ( I'm guessing this was PTSD because I'm a baby nurse)
Downs due to haunted grounds
Getting down because of rancour
Being downed in general yeah literally for no reason other than they got downed
Camping a pallet or doubling back to get a cheeky stun leads to them getting hit through pallet
Double trapping somebody as piggy
Mori by the way it was a cypress mori
Devour hope. the instadown or the mori it just seems to get disconnects
They missed defensive strike
Couldn't use Deliverance got downed before a safe hook rescue
Put a bear trap outside of the locker when they tried the defensive strike locker trick
Head on into a swing when I had Iron Maiden
Mad grit + agitation and iron grasp combo
Got yanked off a gen twice in a row
Got yanked during a hook rescue
Noed
Also I have many more experiences but I feel like you get the point
In my entire experience of playing I have had about 2 survivors disconnect because of slugging.
No please go on about how slugging is the reason why disconnections are so frequent.

Looks like they've DC'ed from their post just like their games because it hasn't gone their way.
For the people still reading we had this same argument not that long ago slugging was just replaced with camping or NOED. If you don't want killers to do something then actually do something about it. It's not going to change if all people do is make a post to complain about it and say i don't want to waste the perk slot on a what if & say it's easier to DC then attempt to counter, people will pick up on that. If you don't want a killer to do something stop rewarding them for it.
