Why are people are afraid to unhook?
Like the killer can be mid chase on the other side of the map with the obsession and they’ll still walk to the hook? I never understood it. If I have full health I’ll unhook and take the hit instead of letting someone get 2 hooked. I don’t see why everyone will risk losing a person early game because I just let myself die if I get to second stage on the first hook.

They're probably new since I've noticed only newer players get spooked when they hear the terror radius and take off, while more experienced players will just unhook anyways unless they can see the Killer coming back. Just be patient and kind with the baby survivors, they'll get used to it after a while and learn in time.
