Why dc'ing only gives you -1 pip
Hello there,
I see a lot of people dc'ing nowadays and I think it's because they don't care loosing 1 pip. They don't punish them a lot. It's frustrating to see. When the match doesn't go the way they want to they just dc. Heck I even experience killers DC's across the board like nobodys bussiness. Can you please put it back to -2 pip? It would punish them a lot more. Thanks :)

Rank doesn't really matter still so that is making people who DC happier

Because people would DC in order to keep their rank low and find easier matches. DC punishments are calculated based on how many games you DC vs how many games you play. So if you can DC one time and play four matches before you need to DC again, you can keep yourself at a low rank and never fear a punishment for disconnecting. Losing multiple pips is a reward, not a punishment.

Pips don't matter unless you care about being high rank, Most don't. There's no reward for being high rank. You actually get harder games at higher ranks so people intentionally don't want to pip. Giving a -2 pip for DC would probably increase the amount of DCs and bring back the levels of Deranking there used to be.
What's needed is a time limit set to rejoin a lobby when you DC, an Actual Punishment because the method they've been using clearly doesn't and hasn't worked to solve the issue. It's been years.

Nobody actually cares whether they depip or not. It's more of a reward to lose 2 rather than 1 because you'll derank faster

I really really hope that the devs implement a punishment where you lose 25k BP each DC.

not true, rank 1 queues last night were 15 minutes for games that lasted like 7. rank doesnt matter people wanna play not wait
