why is legion so hated

i use him and i same amount of sacrifices as i would with any other killer and chases end faster

    its the basis of his power, lets compare him to the first killer, the trapper. The trapper's power is placing down bear traps where a survivor can get caught in, and if thier smart they will disarm them. With legion, his power is going into a frenzy and hitting players, causing them to go into the borrowed time effect, it's annoying to go from healthy to negative 2 health states that require mending and healing to get back up. but you might argue that trapper's traps can put survivors in a difficult position where they have to get out of the trap, run away, and heal. This annoying but that is what he does, he traps survivors to chase one at a time, the legion has a choice when he uses frenzy, he either uses frenzy to injure a survivor and then get out of frenzy to down, or he leaves the survivor he found to injure more which is annoying because it makes games much longer due to survivors having to mend, and then heal. So, basically if they were to change his power to something completely different, and didn't make games so long, it would be less annoying to deal with. you may take it one survivor at a time, but most put everyone into the borrowed time effect, and run sloppy butcher which also makes it longer to heal, so when i see a legion that has good game sense, i let myself die because i would rather go against a trapper that takes good skill to use than legion where his power is so annoying to deal with i'm not scared or stressed in chases, just annoyed. In my personal opinion though their is no coming back with legion, he will remain the most hated and annoying killer, to go against, in the game due to the fact of how he was when he was released.

    Well legion is a weird one since you have to treat them like plague since most legions run SB or Thana or both to make healing take ridiculously long which just buys them a lot of time so most survivors just don't heal unless they have good med kits because of this it leads to them being a T3 myers without the vault speed. But you can just not mend in their TR and do gens since the mend timer doesn't go down off of chase anymore. So I can agree that they are annoying to go against but they are still a bad killer. Personally I feel that there are more annoying and worst things to go against like prayer beads and iri hatchets which just makes the game un fun.

    Depends on who it is. Some people hate him because they're traumatized by release Legion jerks moonwalking and having no real counter play even if they didn't. So think of Spirit, but they were still weak (and we see how people hate spirit.) It was just a question of how long you could prolong the chase so everyone else could get out.

    Others hate that he makes them hold m1 for longer due to mend and heal.

    Others hate that they get punished for being grouped together. I personally know a few people who think Legion is strong because they always run in a herd even after they know its legion (rank 1 btw lel).

    He's still the weakest killer in the game (if not he's fighting for that spot) but people generally don't have fun against him. If they do it's because they know they can bully him because of how weak he is.
