Ghost Face Living the Dream

Okay, I've only seen the first Scream. But I know that Ghost Face was 2 horror movie superfans gone mad.

They love all things horror and that includes Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, the Firday the 13th Franchise, etc.

I dom't know which movie the Ghost Face in the game came from, but if its Ghost Face as of the original Scream, then he's out there living the dream with his favorite slasher icons. Not to mention, hes become one since his debut in the movies and Dbd as well.

Is it just me or is he just living it up in the fog? Just wow...

Well this Ghostface is an original character as in the mask is Ghostface and the person under it is someone DBD came up with but I agree the guys from Scream 1 would be so happy to be in the Fog.

The Ghost Face in DBD has nothing to do with the Scream franchise. The game got the licence for the mask from a separate company only. The DBD Ghost Face is a totally original character.

imo, this is probably the creepiest Ghost Face ever. A home invader that stalks you for weeks and knows his away around your own home at all times, uses his killings to make a living during the day as a journalist. Not to forget he's a skilled killer at that too lol. Tbh I'm actually really glad they didn't get the Scream license, otherwise we would have never gotten this badass original Ghost Face interpretation.

For clarification: The Ghostface mask used in the Scream movies is owned by a costume company called Fun World. Scream's filmmakers found the mask somewhere and liked the look of it, so they decided to license it for use in their movie.

Then it came time for sequels, and Fun World had them over a barrel, because the mask was essentially the logo and "brand image" for the entire Scream franchise. The first two seasons of the Scream TV show didn't use the mask, because it was too expensive to license from Fun World, with the budget that they had.

For the Ghostface character, Behaviour also licensed the mask from Fun World, but not anything having to do with the Scream franchise from Miramax/Dimension Films. The character is, of course, very reminiscent of the killer(s) from the Scream films, because that mask is so closely associated with Scream. But the DBD Ghostface's lore is completely original, and you'll notice that nothing about him makes any reference to Scream.

(It should also be noted that Fun World has always been extremely litigious about the Ghostface mask. For example, they recently sued an NBA player for using the mask as part of his own branding.)
