New Idea for Chapter: Never-Ending Suffering
Chapter: Never-Ending Suffering
Killer: The Envy
Overview: A sadistic killer who nourishes himself on the shattering of other people's happiness and hopes and likes to always have full control over his victims. With his power, Theater of Souls, The Envy can steal other survivor's soul injuring them and giving the soulless status effect, which slows the pace of the game and gives the killer map control.
His personal perks, Tormented Souls, Autophobia and Unhuman Jealously, allows him to dictate how the survivors behave through the trial.
With an undying huger, The Envy not only kills it's victims, but steals their souls to play with them. A fate worse than death is what awaits those who cross paths with him.
Appearance: The Envy is a tall man wearing an elegant black suit. His skin is pale like a dead man, and his deep black hair almost completely cover his eyes. His head has five giant scars that go through all of his face, two of them are vertical coming from his forehead and passing by his eyes all the way to his chin, the other three scars are horizontal, one coming from cheek to cheek making his mouth much bigger, the other crossing his nose and the last scar linking both temples of his face while passing through his eyes. The Envy's eyes resemble one of a snake, glowing in a green light that shines brightly when his eyelids open wide due to his scars. His body is skinny like someone who starved to death. A chain that passes by it's back curls up completely his both arms while having a sickle attached to each side of the chain.
M1: A small sickle with it's grip attached to the chains that curl up his whole arm.
Killer Power: Theater of Souls – The Envy launches one of his sickles forward, if it hits a survivor, the chain connects to the survivor's soul making them become injured. After some time, The Envy will pull his sickle back collecting the survivor's soul, putting them on the dying state and giving them the “soulless” status effect. The Envy can also collect the survivor's soul if he puts them on the dying state while hitting them with the M1 attack or by grabbing them from lockers or generators. The Envy will pull his sickle back without hurting the survivor or collecting the soul if he gets stunned, blinded or if the survivor gets distance from the killer.
Soulless survivors receive a 50% action speed and they often mumble even when healed, which can be heard by the killer.
When holding a soul, The Envy receives a 10% movement speed penalty for each soul he is carrying around. If stunned or blinded while holding souls, all the souls are freed and automatically return to it's respective owner healing them of the “soulless” status effect.
The Envy can also store his souls on dollhouses spread across the map. When stored, The Envy no longer receives the speed penalty, but survivors can rescue all the souls contained on a dollhouse by performing the “free souls” action on an inhabited dollhouse.
Perks:
Level 30: Tormented Souls – At the start of the trial, one generator is chosen. When repairing this generator, survivors gain an additional 20/15/10% repairing speed bonus. On the other hand, when repairing any other generators, survivors receive a 15/20/25% repairing speed penalty. If the chosen generator is fully repaired, another generator is chosen.
“My favorite part of playing is their surprise when realizing there is no escape.” - Pierre Fischer
Level 35: Autophobia – When a survivor is at least 32/28/24 meters away from any other survivor, this perk slowly builds the “panicking” status effect on the lonely survivor. When at it's maximum, the survivor will scream revealing their location and making the “panicking” meter to go to zero. This perk has a recharge time of 60 seconds for each individual survivor.
“Don't cry yet. Soon, I will give you many reasons to cry, and once I begin, I never stop.” - Pierre Fischer
Level 40: Unhuman Jealously – You become obsessed with a survivor. Each time another survivor perform an action with your obsession (healing, rescuing or repairing) the survivor's aura is revealed to the killer and they get the exposed status effect that continues for 20/25/30 seconds after stopping the action.
“You are mine, and mine alone. So do as I say.” - Pierre Fischer
Lore: It is a common agreement that achieving happiness is the purpose of life. Happiness can be found by many ways depending on the person. For some, it may be finding love as for others it may be getting wealthy. However, some people are fated to never become satisfied no matter what they put their hands at.
Pierre Fischer was one of those. Although being wealthy, marrying a handsome husband and owing one of the most promising companies in the world, Pierre was never happy and always had emptiness and darkness inside him. His whole life was dedicated to fill the black hole that was his soul, but every time he got his hands on something he wanted for long nothing seemed to change inside him.
Watching the others live theirs lives, families being build while the parents saw with joy their children grow up, employees celebrating a promotion and the hopes of a better life, laughter in the lips of friends sharing good moments together… All of this always filled Pierre's heart with envy and hatred.
This envy eventually triggered him to use all of his energy into a macabre ritual. Pierre was always fond of dark spells as he used those to get rid of the people who dared to disturb him. However, this ritual was different from everything he has ever done. A ritual which ought to make him something different. Even though being rich and influential helped him get the preparations done, the ritual was hardly executed. In the end, Pierre indeed became something. On the outside, he looked the same, but he was granted powers beyond understanding.
From this day onwards, everywhere Pierre passed by there was a series of mysterious disappearances. What happened to those missing was something worse than death. With their souls ripped from their bodies, the victims were forced to live in a dollhouse created by the fiend, unaware of their surroundings. Pulling invisible strings, Pierre controlled everything, first giving his dolls a sense of safety and happiness by having them to interact of each other but then crushing their hopes as he made them kill one another. That is the way he plays.
Little by little, he started to spend more and more time in his mansion and so, the once proud figure of one of the most successful man in the country faded. What was left was only a decaying beast that was now dependent on devouring other people's suffering.
Following the strange disappearances, the police finally got to Pierre's mansion, only to find nothing but broken dolls scattered across the floor. Whoever was there, just got bored and went to play somewhere else.

He looked at his face and instantly recognized the boy that once declared for him long ago, but his face was now something disturbing and terrifying. He realized who was the cause of all his suffering through his life. Luke knows Rebecca is beyond saving, but it doesn't matter anymore. He will get his vengeance.
