Times where Glass Bead was affective

I've tried using it but Its like people do not understand what it is when I put it up, I'd like to hear when it was useful.

it's sad because no one uses maps and if they do they use both stamps on a rainbow map

I use retardant jelly on my maps. I like having it around for the long haul. That and beads!

I am so terrified of keys, I even had a Nightmare yesterday where I was Killer and therw spawned like 4 or 5 hatches and every Survivor used a key on them

Everytime someone equips it, they only use it to spam the beacon (it is annoying as hell)

Depends what rank you're at. At low ranks, with new players, it's likely that people won't know what it is because it's fairly rare to come across. Maps by themselves are probably the least-used item in the game (I'm lumping Broken Keys in with the rest of the keys, don't @ me) and maps with glass beads are even less common. I can remember only a couple of games in my 1000+ hours where someone other than myself used one.

I personally love maps and glass beads. I use them to mark everything from partially-completed generators to lit totems to hatches. I don't have any proof, because no one ever messages me in post-game chat saying "hey thanks for that glass bead" but I like to think that my teammates find it helpful. To answer your question directly, the only times I specifically remember it helping was in guiding non-SWF teammates to the hatch.

Okay, the glass bead logically should be used to signal important objectives.

So, the glass bead should be placed at central generators and an exit gate.

Also with the event coming up, be sure to mark an event generator with the beacon as well.

The reason for central generator focus is to screw the killer. If a generator remains broken near the center of the map all game then come the end of the game and the killer has an easier patrol. Fix that gen early and the killer will have a more wasteful patrol route letting the team get more generators.

As for exit gates, that's just for the end of the game in case you forget where it is.

Though with the perks Better Together and Wake Up you might not need a glass bead, really.

I personally love the glass bead. It's really useful for marking things like Hex totems in solo queue.

I will often put the light on top of a hex totem if I'm unable to cleanse it.

Hatch is also something I'll put the light on

99% gens as well basically to say hey there's a reason this generator was 99 think before you touch it

I find that people in red ranks tend to know what it is, although every once in a while I'll run into someone who's never seen it before. What I usually use them for is marking the locker I'm in with Head On. I'll let people know before the match starts that if I drop a marker in front of a locker, I'm in there. That way they know I can Head On the killer for them if they run by.

They're pretty great if you're playing solo.

It's great to mark a Hex Totem.

If you get chased away by a Killer, others can come to cleanse it.

It's pretty good for marking important objectives such as the final generator you want everyone working on.

The marker IS really a nice item in the game. If there are times where a person GEN LOCKS and maybe the other team member cannot coordinate. It helps them.

So Far the most useful is the Hatch location. If I run a map WITH the add-on and come across the hatch. I will always mark it. It makes for some really good plays. But the issue is. The rarity of maps and the bead. make it something else to discuss....

Spawned near a hex totem, figured the killer would come to check but went on it anyway. The killer did come and chased me away, but I marked it.

I feel people generally go towards the light like a moth even if they don't know what it is, because it's a massive pillar of light. Needless to say the totem was broken 30 seconds later.

If people really know what it actually is it can be pretty good to just place it by the gen you're working on as well. Not just to make people come work on it with you, but it also gives them the information needed to decide they should work on another gen if they want as well, or make them avoid leading the killer to you and interrupting your progress.

Marking objectives. Sometimes (I know it's annoying) I spam it in a line if I'm getting chased. It's something I wish people used more often on their maps.

A lot of good ideas, I haven't heard of Peanits idea before that one was new, thank you. Would it make sense to mark a more safe pallet looping area? What about marking chests? I like exit gates just in case, I don't get marking Gens, I will use it on Hex's if I find it and cannot cleanse. Thanks guys/ghouls
