Im in solo que as a rank 10. Why am I getting rank 19s?
Idk I thought they said it would match up, but I keep getting potato survivors. I mean yeah they will be easy to beat, ez rank up, but like I also get potato survivors as well.

It's because matchmaking is sometimes bad, and errs toward quantity over quality for some random reason.

Its an error in the matchmaker. I asked a similar question about a week ago, and thats what Peanits had replied with. They're working on a fix, but its still kinda messed up when it happens.

Rank 20-15 don't have the 6 lvl restriction. They can get matched against anyone for whatever bhvr reason.

If you're solo-queuing as a rank 15-20, there should be no possibility of getting matched to anyone higher than those ranks, ever.

Pretty normal matchmaking for me. I am not even surprised anymore. Every 2nd game is like this one.

It fits with what the Devs said was going to happen. If Peanits says its an error then they are backpedaling on their own statement. Ranks 20-15 don't have the 6 rank rule because they want them to find a match over not finding one.

That's not what backpedaling is. Backpedaling would be trying to say, "No, wait, I didn't mean 6 ranks max, I meant _______".
This is an edge case where we've said, "Yeah, that's not meant to happen. We think we know why that might have happened and we're going to try to make sure it doesn't happen anymore."

Thats fine. Rank 20s shouldn't be facing purple and red ranks. We can all agree to that. But it was stated that ranks 20-15 wouldn't have the 6 rank restriction to give players a match over no matches. If thats the case, then the rank 20 facing high rank survivors is a logical outcome.
