Disable Haddonfield until it gets reworked
It is insane how broken that map is, its been 3 out of 5 matches where a survivor used the Haddonfield offering and they were all using balance landing, I guess everyone knows how that went out.
Apart from being broken, its just really bad and not fun to play on on both sides, so why dont you just disable it temporarily?

that's what I hate about haddonfield and Hawkins they are pretty boring and basic without balanced landing

Or just play the game and do your best.

Thats one reason I like Freddy. Theres really no map hes weak on.

Yeah sucks for a non trapping non teleporting killer.
One of the few maps trappers not bad on.

I hate it on both sides. More as killer, obviously. I don't run BL though and it's just a bland map.

Same, it's one of my favorite reasons to play the Fredster.
"Temple? Okay, I can make it work."
"Haddonfield? Alright, yeah, I can do this."
"Chapel/Game? Oh yeah, this'll do just fine."

Last 2 times I happened to land on it as trapper I had a trap set at the top of the stairs. First person steps in it - no one else goes up there a second time assuming it's booby trapped altogether.

Typically ppl trap outside the windows, not the stairs.

It's not that bad..

I don't think it's so bad that it needs to be disabled but its definitely not a good map for killers.

It's obviously not getting disabled since it's not bugged. However it's incredibly bad when you play against BL users and can't teleport/don't have traps.
It's like Crotus Prenn Asylum or other buildings where you just have to abandon chases.

I really like Haddonfield with Ghostface as there are a lot of blindspots and things to hide behind so stalking or just sneaking is so much easier. But this map is very unbalanced, there are long hedges and fences that make getting a hit or being unable to loop fast enough 100% and sometimes those long hedges screw you over when you realize that pallet that spawns at the end didn't spawn this time. There is also an infinite in the Myers house if you have BL and the last thing we need in this game are infinites or anything close to resembling them.

After Gideon, Haddonfield is my favourite map. It is much more fun as a survivor of course.

Trapper's not bad on most maps if you have an imagination for traps.

Trust me, I do. But that doesn't takes anything away from the fact that the map is broken.
1 -
It definitely has some issues.

It's my favorite map and I don't even run Balanced Landing as survivor. Some of the other maps feel really samey whereas Haddenfield has it's own character, which I appreciate.

I think map offerings should provide a bp bonus to the other side. If I'm a killer and I have to humor you and play your map, I should get a bp boost. Same if the killer plays a map offering.
Haddonfield and Ormund are too terrible maps if survivors pair up with balanced.

I have to disagree with you. In my time using Freddy when I got Haddon Field it was a ######### nightmare (pun intended)
They would just abuse BL for loops and every time I tried to teleport to a gen they could use one of the few hundred convenient windows right next to it to make sure I was never able to actually start a real chase before a good minute or 2 of BL loops were done. It was extremely frustrating just how easily they could completely neuter him by using the windows.
And yes, traps don't really help if they're smart. They're either awake or make sure to avoid them and go to one of the other 592809238456 windows in the buildings.

I personally don't hate Haddonfield that much, the problem is when survivors use offerings to go there. And they do because they know how broken the map is with BL. However, if noone used an offering I don't mind that much because they don't abuse the map
Disable the map until it gets reworked or remove the offering, im fine with both.

If Nurse was such a priority to "fix" then so should Haddon field. I rarely have a game there that's even close to enjoyable with how easy it is to abuse the pallets/windows/houses.

Trapping at the foot of the stairs makes it pretty impossible to bi-pass if the whole point of going to the building is to use BL
0 -
That still requires them to be asleep. Sometimes useful, sure. But it isn't a sure-fire way to actually counter that god awful map exploit.

I don't see how bacis fits for q map that look nothing like any other. I'd say is one of the few more original maps and really interesting in general, unlike all the corn maps for example or the new reworked map with 100 versions which were totally unnecessary

Well if we going this way I think it is "fair" then to disable/remove the Lery's/GIdeon/the New Map for the killers so Myers/or any other stealth killer/ for example can't "abuse it" as you call it when they use addons/perks that fits only that map. But oh wait you call probably that having fun as a killer but when you talk about the survivors hmmm talk about double standards

Well think about it like this; you have a team to gain information from and help you against the killer regardless if they're a stealth killer or not on any given map.
As a killer, if they take you to a map like Haddon and bring BL, that's x4 people abusing it and there is almost nothing you can do to realistically counter it.

Well you assume way too many things. First that it will be 4 people. Majority of the players are solo in this game proven by devs and the info they gave us. So it will be just 2 or 3 at best if very unlucky. Now the 3 maps I mentioned are literally the worse maps for surivors, with the lowest escape rate. I gave just an example for the killers. It does not really matter which one it is. It is unfair if he sends you there. If it is mirror myers as I said it is even worse cause he is a an unstoppable menace on these maps with little to no counter. But it is fun ^^ for me so it is for the survivors.
Still you exaggerate quite a lot by saying "nothing you can do to realistically counter it". There are tons of things but I just don't have the time.

If you bring the right killer and perks, sure you can counter a lot in the game.
Does that mean you're going to run it just so you can have an actual enjoyable game should you get a horribly balanced and designed map?

Sounds like its working as intended

Hmm he’s good on a lot of out door maps, but seriously struggles on the indoor ones.
Most people won’t fall for the same placement twice.

Huntress on Haddonfield is surpeisingly effective. Exhaustion hatchets and hitting people through windows becomes powerful there
0 -
I normally use obedience on doctor thus rendering exhaustion perks useless.
0 -
It still does not disable the passive recovery from BL if I recall. It certainly helps but not as much as a decent map would.

That's why you need to make your traps random, but have a method for them. People think traps are always in the same spot. But if you change that trap's location, they'll have a sense of security because they'll realize the trap isn't there... only to fall for another one.
You can block off certain areas with trapper's traps on indoor maps: That massive pitfall in both the Game and Hawkins, certain vaults... etc. But it's true that you can't hide them as easily.

For the past 3 days I was playing only haddonfield with my swf. Of course balance landings and we had to get rid of instaheals before the update.
I still have like 15 offerings for that map. Se eyou in the fog c:

I found once I hit red ranks with trapper no placement was good enough. People just knew where to look.
Random can work but only once per match, people just wise up to them very quick.
I find his strength is more shutting down loops and putting people out of position rather then actually trapping.
0 -
Yeah, it's forced me to get creative. Half the traps I use are random hail marys, and they still work.
Just use tar bottle if you're having trouble with people looking for them.
It can be indeed.

Its fine for me as survivor. Lets disable the corn maps while were at it lol
0 -
Yes please. This is easily the most broken map in the game. I’m pretty sure that everyone saying it’s fine is either talking about it aesthetically or has never or rarely played Killer on it against decent Survivors. Balanced Landing turns the houses into infinites. The only three (and maybe two due to the recent patch) Killers that can deal with this map are Spirit, Hag, and Nurse. Even then Spirit and Hag need the right add-ons to deal with just how broken this map is.

Lol get good and stop crying ya baby killer
