Year 5 - any plans for a new game mode?

Been playing since 2017, and I remember being surprised from the beginning that there was only one game mode, and a ranked one at that.

I've always thought that it would be very easy to implement, as it's already in the programming (nothing new would need to be made, other than a menu icon) - to make a perkless mode.

No items, no offerings, no perks. This mode would also be unranked. Sort of like a free for all, or general arcade type mode. It would rely solely on your skills and senses as killer or survivor. It would offer respite from the roller-coaster that is balancing in this game. It would also allow you to play with anyone, instead of being locked to a certain rank for your lobby queue.

Maybe a difference in the amount of blood points earned?

Just a thought :)

I'd like some like a veteran mode without HUD, more immersive.

I think the main reason we don't have different game modes, as @Mat_Sella hinted above, is because we don't have a large enough playerbase to support multiple queues. If we had hundreds of thousands of players and queue times were always pretty much instant no matter where you are or what time it is, then the game might be able to handle having multiple queues for different game modes. As things stand at the moment, though, there's no way to really do something like that without the player experience suffering considerably outside of matches.
