Survivors, all the same

Ok, I've been playing this game for about 1k hours, started as killer main and switched to survivor main as I play with friends.

  • One thing I find very sad is the fact that each killer has a unique gameplay (almost) and ambiance.

Survivors are all the same. Once you've got all talents, no difference except cosmetics and the sounds...

Why not specialize survs in order to prevent the spreading of a few builds that work really well?

Like Claudette should be the heal specialist, feng min the gen fixer, dwight an actual leader and so on? One talent per surv belongs to that surv and that surv alone. Can't be bought by anyone else.

  • We need replays. Like every single other competitive game basically. That would help us understand the game from other point of views.
  • The game search engine needs a rework. No matter if I'm playing alone, with friends or not, it takes forever to bind a game. If I play as killer the game takes so long to find players that the lobby usually end up giving me an error. THIS is the most boring aspect of the game for me. 10-15 min between games is just waaaaay too long. As a killer, well, it's even worth.
  • Some bugs are just so obvious and have been there for so long that I can't understand why they haven't been fixed by now. I'm thinking about dropping a pallet on killer picking up someone for example. Have to have the prefect timing, which is not too hard but what's the logic in there? Instead of releasing new content all the time, maybe a stability/balance dev sprint or two could be a good idea.

Anyway, this is my two cents, hope somebody reads it and agrees.

I could see it working so long as each survivor by themselves is useless, but when together, stronk.

    a) There would be the "best" survivor.

    b) Identity V already kinda does it but imo they do it better.

Well, atm survivors are different, for example, Ace is the most quiet survivor both injured and uninjured, while claudette is the hardest to spot, Feng is pretty tiny but she is also very loud. Bill has literal camo but he is pretty big and loud. Now that isn't super unique, but it is something to appreciate

I don't really think there being a "meta" survivor would be a problem. It would add more depth to the game and it may cause a bit of imbalance but nothing that can't be fixed with balance changes.

Some killers are stronger than others so should we just make X killer the only killer and the others just all be skins with the same power?

The concept could be extended a bit as well. I mean, ho come meg the athlete runs at the same speed as Jane or Jeff or good-old-smoker-Bill?

Make the sprinters noisy and the not so fit a bit more discreet or something of the sort. Jane could take an extra hit as she is well, proportioned for what used to be sexy in another century.

What sounds good on paper is not good in game, trust me.

It'd be cool but they do not need special abilities when gens can be done in 40 seconds by 2 people, etc, Survivors already have many chances and god loops.

Take Identity V for an example, the Enchantress can just follow the Killer and stun him all game long and make sure they never get anyone on a rocket chair.

Nah don't get me wrong, I don't want more advantages for the survivors, I just want them to become fun to play and actually coop. Like each player chooses a char based on the other ones. One char of one type max per game, like one Claudette, one Bill... This would force synergy a lot.

Right now, some players do their gens, unhook randomly and escape as they see fit, not as what is best for the team.

Might be stupid of me but I want a coop game to have cooperation nota bunch of selfish people doing stuff in their corners hoping for the best.
