Unnerf balanced landing
As killer main I need to say that the new balanced landing rework changed nothing so for me at least wouldn't be bad bring the old balanced landing back

No, the idea of the stun upon landing is to stop infinites. Having a perk that undid that was a bad idea.

Just remove the exhaustion and speed boost but keep a cooldown. BL fixed and fun to use again. New BL can be made into a new perk for a new survivor (because all new survivor perks are trash)

The problem there is theyd have to balance maps while always having the perk in mind. Its a similar situation as what happened with enduring or Tinkerer. For any stun effects, they had to always keep enduring in mind to ensure the stun isnt completely useless while for Tinkerer, they had to ensure any addons they introduce didnt become OP when combined with tinkerer. In the end, they decided to just change both of those perks to avoid dancing around having to balance around the ideas of playing with AND without them.
For balanced landing, if they design loops so it doesnt feel unfair to a killer chasing someone with BL (a nearby door next to a window drop), it just ends up feeling worse for people who DIDNT bring the perk. If essence, balancing the map around the perk just makes the perk required while hindering the people who dont have it equiped.

BL was a perk unlike the other exhaustion perks in that you didn't become exhausted. That was why Haddonfield was so much fun on the survior side.
I believe it was balanced in line with the other exhaustion perks

That's because only second chance perks become meta, and the problem with second chance perks is that when 4 survivors bring enough of them it unbalances the game.

They can't un-nerf it. It was nerfed cause it allowed infinites due to terrible map design. So the obvious fix is to gut a perk and leave questionable map design untouched.

This. I believe this is the real reason or the main reason to its nerf. It must have hindered the development of every map since it's release. Besides haddonfield because it wasn't as good on release until it got buffed

Survivors need more nerfs to make things even, completely unsympathetic

Really the new BL is quite good for stealth drops.
As a killer if someone drops in front of you and grunts it's safe to hit and if they make no noise you know to wait as they have BL.
