A Survivor Questions a Killer: Why’d You Camp?
So, before you read, here’s a heads up: This is not complaining.
Played a game as Killer and I’m Bubba (as per usual). Anyways, people say this game is not survivor-sided. 90% of my games are on the big ass maps.
Game starts:
4 Survivors; All Toolboxes.
I spot a lonesome Claudy, down her. Hook. She gets unhooked immediately. Breakdown.
Down her again because her teammate runs and I couldn’t catch in time. Go to hook. Can’t. Hook broke. Nearest hook, her teammates are sabotaging. She pops off.
Summarizing this game because I don’t have time to write out like I usually do:
3 teammates chased me, sabotaged each hook, had toolboxes with max sabotaging.
Perks: BT, Breakdown, Flip Flop, DS.
I won, because the final teammate that was knocking out gens finally came to help a teammate and I downed her.
This game is heavily Survivor Sided. I hooked ONE survivor TWICE the entire match before I managed to slug all of them. Had the 4th teammate not messed up and pushed, I would’ve lost tremendously.
Post-game message:
“Why’d you camp?”

You made a mistake in the beginning. There is no evidence here there was nothing you could do against these survivors.

Sometimes I answer survivors like this with the ol "I was working on gens, u?"
Imo Survivors always had the best comebacks, they are even better coming from the Killer.

I camp because it works. Until survivors stop running up to me for an easy kill while I'm camping, instead of doing gens freely, I'll continue to do it.

Amen to that. The only way I camp is if it's end game and I have one or less kills. As a survivor I won't go near a camping killer lmao to the ones that do.

I loop because i wanna buy my team time and it is the optimal way to do so.
I dont flashlight blind, but if i would, i do it to either safe a teammate or to blind the killer to get distance on him.

"Why'd you camp?" Why does it matter? That's what you chose to do in order to win. You don't owe anyone an explanation of why you played the game in the way you wanted. You aren't required to make sure everyone else has a good time.

I think those types of responses just show which players only play survivor and have no empathy for understand it from the killers perspective.
Anyone who actually plays both sides at high rank understands there are times you need to camp or tunnel. Also, unless the survivors are just really bad, you will need to slug if you want to win and they're even semi competent. There are even perks to counter slugging, but people would rather complain than run the perks because they want all their second chance perks instead.
Then there's also many, many scenarios where they say camping or tunneling and it really just wasn't.
I'm not gonna blame a killer for camping if I'm on a hook and my teammates are all running circles around the hook and leaving scratch marks everywhere. He has no reason to leave and that's my teammates faults.
Should I scream tunneler when a teammate unhooks me right in the killers face and he insta downs me? No, he isn't tunneling, that's my teammates fault for trying to farm me.

Get better at what? Camping? I dont know how you can "get better" than killing all 4 survivors. This is one of the typical crybaby responses I get on xbox when I camp, lol.

I generally dont but using bbq sometimes i see survs approaching and in that case it would be simply stupid to move too far from the hooked person,I generally tend to leave space for unhooking,tho

You said that players won't get better when they camp. I simply asked what they won't get better at. Your reply doesn't answer that. My rank and whether you play killer or survivor, means nothing here. If you thought I was calling you a crybaby, I wasn't. Just referring to the salty survivors that send those messages.

You seem like a decent person. Now let's do this from a killer perspective:
"I tunnel the weakest because I want to pressure your team and eliminating someone fast is the optimal way to do so"
"I don't camp, but if I would, i would do it when I hook someone, and i know their team mates are nearby waiting for the unhook"
Killers would be scrutinized for all of that, lol

Reading is key here my friend. I said if the 4th teammate didn’t mess up and kept working on gens, they would’ve literally all escaped. Any time I picked one up, Flip Flop was activated and there no hooks in proximity. This game is survivor sided. The maps are ridiculous large for 90% of the killers that have terrible pressure.

The few times I've camped has been when I wanted to secure a kill and it was EGC or all the gens were finished. Thankfully I'm not a high enough rank killer to get many coordinated swf groups that sabotage hooks or would make me want to camp.

You literally slugged, and countered their whole build. Yes, there are some maps that can be survivor sided depending on RNG but there is also times where gens spawn 12 meters apart, which is literally impossible to win as a survivor.

I would only camp in a few situations:
- Survivors act very toxic
- The game is rushed to oblivion
- A particular survivor decides to piss me off.
That's about it.

I dont camp because its easy. But i play hag and i booby trap the ######### out of a hooked survivor. Then hunt the others. If i wander off toofarand theyre unhooked. Oh well. The hagspawn sometimes gets them to run right into me.

I would love to see video footage of generators spawning 12 meters apart. There are maybe 3 maps that are killer friendly, the rest are survivors. I play Bubba, it is impossible to apply pressure to maps where generators are not even 50 meters from each other. There are more scenarios of impossibility to win for Killers than there are survivors. Slugging is an easily countered tactic. I played a game last night, a survivor crawled under a hook where his teammate was, the other tried to unhook, I hit her and hooked her elsewhere. The downed teammate under the hook had unbreakable, got up and unhooked his teammate. They had 1 gen left, ran and finished and had adrenaline. I killed both of them thanks to NoED and them being altruistic.
My point is, the majority of the time survivors are outgunning killers. They have a plethora of perks that give second chances, speed boosts, and the opportunity to remain hidden despite being injured. It’s very difficult in this game to apply proper “map pressure” with almost all the killers.
Idc I still have fun, but don’t try to say this game is friendly to killers. Check queue times.

Being forced to slug is not countering the perk since they can be brought back up without having it count towards their death and your killer sided maps argument is a massive over exaggeration since there is way more survivor sided maps than killer maps and even then it only makes it harder to run the killer for 5 gens not impossible

Queue times don't mean anything about balance, specially in Dbd where the community is so toxic they make 40 posts saying I will quit the game after x change, whether it is survivor or killer. About the video footage, I'm not a streamer and my pc already is full with games so no recorded files. And no, I won't search twitch and youtube to prove my point, if it is that hard to believe just don't believe it. You dont have many maps that are survivor friendly on most killers, but I do agree you have some exceptions where there is a clear advantage like stalking on coldwind. The unbreakable and second chance argument is quite dumb actually, and you can pick up a player when he is under the hook. As to your match specifically, you probably made many mistakes that led to that situation, and so did the survivors if they truly had the massive advantage you said they had but still lost

Name the survivor sided maps. Also, you seem to forget that before they had the hooks 99 they spent 5 minutes doing that, so you can only blame yourself. And just slug, on the 1/1000 matches you will face saboteurs you will probably end up winning

A lot of times I'm called out for camping isn't on me, it's on them. For instance, last night I had a match as Trapper. Hooked a dude, went to the nearest loop to set a trap, spot the Meg coming in for a save. I chase her, only to spot a Claudette coming from another direction. Go to smack her instead, as she was injured. Meg comes back, steps in a trap. Down her, that's two slugged. Dude on hook suicides, Meg dces, I hook Claudette, Jake found the hatch. In chat, I'm salted over camping. Okay then.

I never camp or tunnel etc, but when Ruin nerf is here I will. Why? Because I'm angry and I need to make some statement. Any complaints from survivors I will just message "Blame ruin nerf" back.
If survivors complain over this they might get Ruin back, because survivors complaning means devs will listen.

I have nothing to complain about besides survivor's that DC because they can't handle being out played and than complain to get a killer nerfed. Check yourself before you check me.

You're mad they were chasing you and sabotaging?!?!?!?!?! You still 4K'd. Oh I'm sorry, I hope you 5K next match! Devs and Survivors are clearly in bed together cause you faced a... SEVERELY nerfed Sabotage Squad and still pulled the 4K off.
It's fun to see people brag about camping, tunneling, and slugging but then are on here constantly crying about gen rush, looping, etc. But Sabotage of all things? I'd be grateful they were wasting that much time. They could of pumped out those gens faster if they weren't sabotaging. And they went for saves instead of working on gens.

Killers - Just do gens and punish us.

No. It really isn't. Lol. Your point is or story is just that weak. You got a 4K. You admit to camping, tunneling, and slugging cause "they sabotaged me" and a few other shaky statements like "oh I couldn't get the other guy." So you're salty they called you a camper. You almost lost to SABOTAGE players. Though your story lacks some editing. How could one girl be knocking out gens if all 3 were chasing you to deny the hook on Claud with Sabotage. Oh... you did miss the 5K. I see why your whining now. The mystical 5th Survivor the Devs added in just to upset the Killers more. Must of been a Blendette cause I haven't seen them myself.

I’m sorry what? 3 chased sabotaging hooks along the way. Very simple to comprehend. I downed one, no hooks around and the 2 thag were up bodyblocked or ran to finish the hook off. Yes, your whole rant is pointless. Nowhere did I mention gen speed nor complain about the generators. I didn’t complain about the sabotaging either.
