A Billy idea
So,since Billy will probably have his add-ons altered I had two great ideas in order to balance him. Please bear with me.
A nerf idea; put a cooldown on his chainsaw,pretty much like the nurse. In corn maps he can cross the entire map in a matter of seconds. So with the cooldown,he will use his chainsaw to get to a gen,and he will be forced to m1 if he misses the survivor. Not that big of a cooldown addition tho,like 5 seconds,maybe the longer you chainsaw Sprint, the more cooldown it has.
If you don't agree with the cooldown on his base kit,how about in a red add-on?
Hillbilly cannot be stunned by hitting in a wall while he chainsaws (like oni) but he has a cooldown each time he uses his chainsaw.

Actually that sounds interesting. A cooldown would slightly limit both, the high mobility and one-shot ability. No more chainsaw spamming, you'd have to put some strategy into using Billy's chainsaw.

The cooldown would be worth a look at. It wouldn't even need to be a long cooldown, just something that says "right you just sprinted from one side of the map to the other, now you need to wait 10-15 seconds to be able to make it all the way back".
Freddy has to wait 45 seconds for a cooldown. Demo 14 seconds. Billy should have a cooldown too.

Billy is already balanced. His base kit does not need a cooldown.
I also highly doubt they change his base kit. It's only bad survivors who think it's not balanced.

A 5 second cooldown to compensate for having better add ons sounds fair to me.

Addon balance is a different conversation. I think Carb Tuning Guide should be made an ultra rare, bubble cap (the yellow charge speed addon) should be made a green addon, and the rarity of the ultra rares should be cranked up.
It's his base kit I think should be left alone.

Stop making billy an issue.
He is harmless on lower ranks, because new players can't use his chainsaw if their lives depended on it.

Freddy and Demo have abilities to use in the chase once they actually GET there though, whereas for Billy...Thats it. His chase power IS his mobility power.

Billy does not need any nerfs other than instasaw. His chainsaw is not easy to use and very plausible to juke. His current chainsaw also allows very interesting gameplay such as curving loops.

Instasaw hasn't existed since tinkerer was changed.

Seriously though, it can be dodged. Unless you're out of position and put yourself right in front of him, in which even normal saw will down you. I suggest practice.

Billy is fine as is, he can only zip on few maps around and you get alerted way before his arrival. Billy capitalizes only on survivor mistakes and each survivor can make at least 2 of those.
If you know how to loop, billy is not an issue. Maybe ask the devs so they make it that you just have to hold w in order to loop efficiently?
Furthermore your change would make him even more horrible on maps such as lerys or game. Billy has already a cd on his chainsaw, which is why there are cooldown reducing addons, the more you know.

Billy is pretty balanced and doing this to him would not only make him weaker for no reason, but also less fun to play. Adding cooldowns is the most lazy and boring way to “balance” a Killer, so no thanks.

The red add-on is sort of interesting but it would t be good. You don't get nearly as much control with his chainsaw as Oni gets with demon dash. Ot wouldn't be as good as you think. He really doesn't need a cooldown though, his base kit is fine the way it is. Adding cooldowns is how you make a killer less fun to play, and we really don't need anymore cooldown abilities in this game, there are more than enough.

I call instasaw double charge addons, because the charge time is ridiculously low. It's sort of possible to juke, but wayyy harder than normal, and way too inconsistent. Also, it's very very easy to use.

It's not "sort of" possible to juke. It's extremely possible, unless you're caught out of position. In any case, insta saw isn't insta saw. It died with tinkerer.
It's just a faster saw.
These are the "new players" BHVR caters to. Ruin is gone. Time to go after the killers with gen pressure.

It was never "instant", even with tinkerer. It was still "possible to juke". Doesn't change the fact that both the old and current instasaw are for billies who aren't good with their chainsaw.

You're aware the charge time doesn't have anything to do with how to actually chainsaw, right? It literally just makes it so survivors need to keep their distance. It doesn't help with steering, it doesn't help with anything other than close range hits.

And I assume you're aware good billies would prefer engravings anyway. They offer highly skillful gameplay as they allow curving and crossmaps. They also have plenty of counterplay, so I actually love engravings, but hate instasaw, coming from a billy & surv main.

While a cooldown sound right billy doesn't need one as he would probably kill him and making him as fun as Nurse. No one will play him then survivors will have nothing to be scared of. However i want some changes in add-ons to increase variety and ultra rare add-ons.

I was thinking that the more you chainsaw the more cool down you will have at a maximum of 15 seconds. Like,I instadowned a guy,I must wait 0.5 secs fair. I chainsawed the entire map,I have to wait 15 seconds. I believe it's fair
Also they will change both his and bubba's add-ons. They said it.

So many great ideas. What about this one: Billeh has limited fuel, and after every use of his chainsaw, he has to refill fuel. So, Billeh is only allowed to play at "Gas Heaven", the only map with a gas pump. Refilling needs 30 seconds, while Billeh refills, gens can be worked double as fast as usual.
When Billeh spawns on any other map, his chainsaw will be replaced with a pogo stick. The use of the almighty pogo stick grants a movement speed of 3.6 m/s. Instead of his usual M1-weapon, Billeh is given a clownhammer, which makes annoying noises when hitting a survivor, but does no damage at all.

Leave Billeh alone, he's the most balanced killer. Stop balancing for rank 45,where survivors crawling, sorry, urban evading next to the wall to selfcare, wondering why they get downed by a Billy (even the Pogo Billeh would catch them).

Base Billy is fine, I think add-on combinations can make him a little nutty but his cooldown on his base chainsaw when he misses is enough. But if they did do something to Billy I think it'd be hilarious if they made him a 4.4 m/s killer, it'd show how out of touch they are if they did that, I'd lmao.

If a cooldown is what you want you can add him 1s or 2 but i think he should stay as it is otherwise. Don't get me wrong your ideas are not bad it's just we've seen how was the result when they nerfed nurse power (she actually the worst killer based on devs). Nurse have a power that do everything. She travel , go though walls , hit survivors etc... Billy is the same except he can't go though walls and is loopable. Adding him a cooldown will only make him good to travel the maps. The cooldown add-ons and charge time shouldn't stack together simple as that.

As an add-on it seems fine, better than some red add-ons that we have got lately.

As a killer main,I don't find balanced to run around a corn map constantly. With this change it won't hurt his loop since it will scale with how much Sprint you did,and the cooldown starts when you stop/hit something.
Otherwise,the add-on idea is the same. You become Oni without the need to collect blood and with a cooldown. Balanced in my book!

The cooldown would start after you stop sprinting/hit something/miss. Balanced in my book. It just limits the distance he crosses since the more you Sprint the more cool down you will have with 15 being the maximum :3

Have you all gone bloody mental? Hillbilly is already one of the most balanced killers in the game. I understood the need for cooldowns on Nurse. She really needed some sort of change. But Billy is nowhere near as strong as nurse then. He does not need any changes right now. He's in a perfect spot. You can loop him like crazy but only with skill. As my father used to say: "Don't wish it were easier. Wish you were better."

Traveling across the map isn't that powerful if he has to deal with loops the same as any other killer and if the billy is good with his curves he can atleast shave off that time a little but if we are talking extremes a good survivor isn't gonna get curved on if they know what to expect.
