The unfixable problem with the forums and the game

Survivor players will always greatly outnumber killer players. Queue times are getting longer and longer due to nerf after nerf to killers despite the fact that this game is very survivor biased. To those who think it isnt just think about it for a bit. The speed gens are done, the size of the maps, survive with friends etc. Survivor queue times are getting longer and longer as killer players realize that being is killer is becoming more and more of a chore and easier to play survivor. Yes, there are some nerfs on survivor, but its killers who get the worst nerfs. People complain that ruin was a crutch perk and maybe it was, but dead hard, d strike and borrowed time are crutch perks. One of the main problems with the forums and the game is the attitude towards killer players. Often the response killer players get when voicing their opinion on ruin nerfs and killers nerfs is to just get good, but the same could be said to survivors who rely on d strike, dead hard and keys. BHVR is completely out of touch, things like one of the devs saying that the new ruin is extremely powerful late game yet it wont last until late game because the totem is usually destroyed within the first few minutes. They cater towards new survivors, but what do they think will happen when a new killer comes across 4 survivors running dead hard and d strike.

BHVR is a company that wants to earn money, not a charity. From a financial point, it makes sense to focus on survivors (a lot more survs playing than killers), and especially on new survivors, because new players haven't bought all the existing DLCs and cosmetics yet.

As long as the playercount and earnings stay constant or even grow, there is no reason for BHVR to change what they are doing.

When survivor players start leaving due to long queue times maybe that will hopefully get them to change their ways

That's no excuse for not treating killer players like they do with survivor players. Every player matters and at the end of the day we ALL payed for this game so the devs should treat both sides equally. If one side feels neglected then that side will move to a game that cares about them. Killers leaving = no matches for survivors

But the problem with gaming today is this: once players moved on from a game, they usually don´t come back. So by the time they change the course the game is taking, it might already be to late.

I don't disagree with you. I was simply explaining what is happening and what is the reason for the situation we are in.

No it’s not even close. I joined recently and so far I’ve noticed that it’s the strongest killer defenders that are the most antagonistic and responding to everyone with “git gud” no matter what problems they have with the game.

It’s like nothing can ever be OP or unbalanced in their eyes. Everything is perfectly fine and right off the bat their first instinct will be to tell people they’re bad at the game, rank 15 and need to improvend that they don’t know what they’re talking about. It’s very hostile.

I haven’t noticed anything like this from the “other side”. In fact I’m not even sure that other side exists. I’ve seen people that are neutral but nobody so far that seems to defend the survivor side exclusively.

I want to play on your server, because my survivor queues are a breeze, while killer is terribad, except in the evenings.

Personally I've seen this attitude mostly from survivor mains. But since I mainly play killer, I am probably just noticing them more. I've personally been a recipient of several childish "Git Guds" when I have politely asked for advice.

"Git Gud" people are a chore, whichever side of the campfire they sit on.

I mean saying that a player being at rank 15 doesn't know what they are talking about is true and not rude, just the truth. The way you think what side is the power role change depending on your rank.

    Rank 20 - 11 = killer is overpowered

Rank 10 = both are on the same level and fun to play

Rank 9-1 = killer is underpowered

The game is currently balanced around survivors in the first category, but that make it too easy for the rest of the survivors and especially higher ranks survivors that didn't even care about Ruin as they could still finish the game in less than 5 min

I play solo and killer in red ranks and i can tell you that 5 minutes games aren't fun at all

Your point may be valid if the devs were listening to these supposed killer mains, but the problem is that the devs are absolutely listening to the most vocal and outspoken survivor voices screaming for killer nerfs, and are ignoring any critiques of their changes once they put them on the PTB. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they ninja patched in the no-rank at the end screen crap just to spite everyone.

For some reason I got flashbacks of The Pale Rose in 2016, with 70 s gens and no regression.
