Make BBQ and chili a HEX
All I see is BBQ and Chili on every killer, putting it as a hex would make it fair for survivors and killers.

The lack of skill coming from killers now a days is disgusting.
All I see now that ruin is gone pretty much is BBQ and chill with Pop Goes the weasel and Nurses calling and Discordance.
Why do killers need so many aura reading abilities? There is no skill playing a killer.

They should limit how many times you can use DS but for Adrenaline and BT and Unbreakable and DH I think they are fine the way they are.

If I could fix this game I would have the Aura reading abilities limited heavily.
This game is supposed to be a Hide and Go Seek kinda game but the Aura reading abilities kill the game.
Right now Killers are so OP is sad.

As a survivor main, I respect that Barbecue and Chili can give the killer an edge, but do not agree with you that using it means you have no skill. Killers have to keep track of four people and stop five generators from popping. That requires a lot of skill at high ranks. Even with Barbecue and Chili killers can be destroyed at high ranks. I would really like to know what tangible issues you see with the perk and have a discussion about it.

I use it just because of the BP bonuses, I don't think it has helped me hook anyone lately. No need to do anything to it.

I don't personally use second chance perks, unless you think I'm not allowed to run BT even though I pretty much only use it for we'll make it synergy. My point is, if you don't want to get camped, tunneled, slugged, or downed quickly there are perks there to alleviate your pain. I also use exhaustion perks, not because I rely on them to cover up my mistakes, but to learn how to make best use of them to be of the most benefit to my team.
Also side question: is we'll make it a or s tier? In solo it is probably only a but in swf I can consistently half heal speed, buying my mates a lot of time in chase.

Nurse's calling you have to hide and be far away to heal to counter it.
Bitter murmur requires you to finish a generator for the killer to see you.
Making BBQ and chili a hex or a scream silhouette would make the perk more fair.
Having finished hooking a survivor you can easily just walk to where you saw the survivor (How does that require skill?)
It's sad that killers need so many aura reading abilities to find survivors when you can easily just listen for whining from them or scratch marks from them running.
It literally takes no skill to be a killer.

Well I dont know, maybe you dont have time to check each gen? Maybe no one is doing a gen and the survivors are healing? Maybe those perks help you decide which gen is a priority since more than one survivor is working on them? You know that killers have to manage their time with presition since making a bad play can cost you the game

Yeah that's why I'm currently trying out swapping it for kindred in solo. The results are mixed and inconclusive but I do like using kindred :)

What part of finding a survivor, winning a chase (usually vs exhaustion perks), picking up the survivor (and avoiding Flash saves / body blocking), and making it to a hook do you think is the least skillful part of activating BBQ for a specific range 4s aura reading on anyone that cannot counter it?

You do realize that not only does BBQ already have a bunch of counters, but it's also likely used largely for the BP bonus cause grind is so rough.
Honestly, they should just make BBQ's BPG and WGLF baseline, and rework WGLF.
That happens, and the amount of BBQ killers will likely plummet.

BBQ and CHili is the best anti-camping and tunnelling perk there is, because it incentivices the killer to go hook someone else while also giving them a target to go after far away from the hook. It also gives them an incentive to chase after healthy survivors instead of the injured guy who's already been hooked when they find both together.
So go ahead, nerf it, and watch the game quality decrease for survivors more, just like how the deletion of Ruin has destroyed survivor queue times while increasing the number of Moris used.

Bbq is the only reason to leave someone hooked. Otherwise camping is almost required. Most people run bbq for the bloodpoints anyway.
Also the entire game is weighted heavily against the killer

Perhaps opening a locker?
OR
Perhaps going one way for 8 seconds, then another way?

Entered the killer's terror radius, then leave?

Bring Sole Survivor?

9/10 people are literally only running it for the BP bonus. The aura reading on hook is nice, but unless it's Freddy or Billy you just can't make good use of it.

There is so much counterplay to the perk it’s unreal. If you stand in one spot, remain there for its duration, and then are suddenly blindsided by a killer coming for you... is the perk REALLY to blame?

I'm sorry, but no. It doesn't need to be a Hex. It is very fine for how it is, now. It is countered by going in lockers and going one way for a few seconds then going the opposite way after that.
