Small but GREAT idea vs toxicity
It would be cool after the match that the killer can award one survivor for great gameplay or any other reason he wants to award the survivor: the award would be a notification and a small bonus of 3000BP and so for the killer 3000BP if he awards someone. It could also be possible that the awards are displayed just like in Overwatch so people seeing that this person is awarded often because of fair play they will want to get such awards too and behave. But ONLY positive awards no negative awards, because there would be trolls who would on pupose collect negative awards if there are any. If the killer thinks there was no fair play in this game he can simple not award anyone. Disconnects could also count to the stats as a big malus to the awards.
We can even make that so the killer can award multiple people but ofcourse without personal gain of to many BP.
If the system would be implemented well and there is a similar system for the killer one could also sort people by their behavior-stats (pun intended) and match them together, so fair people play together and toxic people play also together.
Maybe if the Bavior badges would have a tier level 1 to 5 and ofcourse decay overtime so people can not stay high tier if they become toxic again BHVR could even award higher tiers with a small bonus in Iridescent Shards gain e.g.:
- Tier 1: 2% more Iridescent Shards
- Tier 2: 4% more Iridescent Shards
- Tier 3: 6% more Iridescent Shards
- Tier 4: 8% more Iridescent Shards
- Tier 5: 10% more Iridescent Shards
I really think that is very wholesome and could be cool if people would try to collect the good behavior badges (agian pun intended)

That's a really nice idea

It's a good idea, never thought of something like that but yeah it could definitely help with the toxicity and promote fair play which is what this game needs now more than ever

This would be great. It'd be awesome if the survivors could also commend the killer maybe 1k bp each if they think they played fair or well.

I mean it sounds good but then there are survivors that spam reports for the killer 3 hooking them. Maybe if there was a way around that issue id be on board.

Why would this be a problem? If people would be awarded for fair play with visible badges other people would want them too and behave this way.

Small things but great effect against toxicity

I'm personally not against the idea, the only problem with this is that if only killers could give awards people would complain, if everyone could the system would be abused to get some BP extra, especially by SWF, and the badges would soon lose their original value.

no no no! You have to read all I wrote not the half!
I said I have an idea for the beginning with killer awarding survivors. Survivor awarding the killer could ALSO be done, but has to be adjusted accordingly! I am not a Dev I am just a dude sick of toxic games, I give the Devs a great idea and they are free to balance it.
SWF will not get anything, because they can NOT award each other! And the BP gain is only there to encourage people to USE the vote system, because there ARE some people who hate the opposite faction so much that they would not do anything good for them without a profit themselfs.
And the badges will NOT loose its value if they decay fast enough. One could reset all badges with every rank reset or reset it like overwatch does the votes count only for a few days if played.

I read it, and as I said giving the option to killers only would make a lot of people unhappy.

But I said both get the option :( are you sure that you read it?

I like the idea. Both for the killer rewarding a survivor (or more than one) for a good game and for the survivors to reward the killer, too.
Or heck just a decay over time reputation thing.. (people love boasting their ranks, so even without bloodpoints associated with the thing just making reputation a thing would make people want to behave.. But only positive reputation, as mentioned, negative one would only make toxic people want to be even more toxic)

thats exactly what I am also thinking about it! I am happy that there are people that feel the same :D

Cool!

Reputation could reset at the same time as rank, too. Or once a week. Or as you said, a decay, reputation earned lasts X days, so the reputation i earned last week would disappear but what I earned yesterday would still be there.

I like the idea of awards, idk about the bp/shard numbers but bhvr could play around with those.

It really helped in overwatch. You also get 1-4 lootbox periodically for good ranks. Small Irridescent shard bonuses for high reupations could be a great incentive. Also, keep awards anonymous like overwatch, so as to prevent the dota issue. Can't stop them saying in chat, but you can always disable or screen cap and report.

Sometimes as killer I get so frustrated when I see one potato survivor completely screw over a team... I had that happen today, where someone burned BPS so I was just trying to farm, and one survivor refused to do anything during the match. Because of her, one person died on the hook. She refused to touch gens. At one point, I gave her one last chance: I downed her, took her to a gen, and hit it. She still ran off and did nothing, so I killed her. I'm not going to let one survivor ride on the work of the others, that's just not fair.
I wouldn't mind being able to reward survivors who are fun to play with or skilled at the game. Or when I got the Evil Incarnate achievement, I really wished I could award those survivors something because they didn't disconnect nor hide in lockers; they had my utmost appreciation for being such good sports.
