Why do the Developers love survivors so much??
I just had to comment on the recent patch and the ridiculous nerfs. They nerf killers so much. They nerfed enduring and it toke awhile to fix freddy, and then nerfed The Doctor now he cant cancel out loops with his shock,Hex ruin is very much needed ESPECIALLY in the high ranks. Alot of killer mains stopped playing including myself. Did the developers forget that theres killer mains out there too. News flash if there's no killer players there's no match. Gens pop at a ridiculous rate that killers can do very little against it. Time is very important for the killer hex ruin provides more time for the killer to get his or her objective done! And it's not op because it CAN be destroyed. The fact that they Nerfed hex ruin because survivors couldn't hit Great skill checks is bias. The Developers are bias with survivors. Just look at all the players leaving the game. They buff the exhaustion perks. And the loops are insane it takes so much time to take down a looping survivor even if the killer let's em go gens are always being worked on. Bring back hex ruin

And that makes it okay to be bias? Killer mains also spend money on the game too. Dont forget that the license killers are NOT free.so they are making money off killers to especially when they buy costumes and all the license killers. So there's no excuse for the bias

Doc is capable of cancelling loops you just dont use it right, Ruin is a bad change for now but will be better once toolboxes are adressed. DS got changed for the killers. They didnt buff exhaustion perks, balanced landing got nerfed, all the others were like this for a good while. And nobody is leaving the game believe me.
If the devs have a "survivor bias", killer mains have a "killer bias" too. And I am one.

Hey im not the one doing it lol. Thats just my thinking on why they do it. Yes killers pay for the liscene but in the end alot of people probably play to play with friends.

We've nerfed plenty of survivor perks as well, if time isn't a factor. Let's not forget that Sprint Burst used to have a 20 second cooldown and recharge mid-chase. Several nerfs later, you could still stack it with Lithe, Balanced Landing, and Dead Hard. Nowadays Exhaustion exists, and it doesn't cooldown while running at all.
Double pallets are gone, DS doesn't activate the first time you pick someone up, MoM has been massively toned down, instaheals are no more, instablinds are dead and gone, vacuums have lost their suck- the list goes on. There's changes to both sides, we're not picking favourites. Sometimes there's going to be changes that are great for you, sometimes the pendulum swings back the other way.

Even four survivors can't play a match without that 1 killer.
No matter how many skins they have bought and I believe highley if would survivors would find no matches anymore, they would also stop buying skins.
So I don't think their decision - however someone thinks about them - are only driven by money, even for sure they are in parts since they are a companie.

B-b-b-but survivors also got nerfs! Well, release older versions of DBD? Lets see... was it survivor sided? Is it still? Ofcourse survivors deserved (deserve) more nerfs!
- No entity blocker
- No bloodlust
- Double pallets
- Vacuum pallets
- Everyone had insta decisive
- Brand new part was instant
- Insta heals
- SWF
- Sabo was literally broken, hooks didnt repair itself (iron grasp meta)
- Killer vaulted like a slug on crack
- Hatch mechanic with standoffs
- You can recover to 95% now, to nerf slugging
- No 10% survivor slowdown when working in duos
- No exhaustion, every sprint perk had a cooldown, so balanced landing w/ sprint burst meta
- Double windows in the shack
- Windmill shaped cow loop with 2 windows, #########?
- Jungle gyms with 2 windows
- RNG didnt block window spawns, all windows were open
- Ruin nerf (#########?)
- Insta blind flashlights
- Hag/Trapper with slomotion trap set time, wraith slomotion uncloak
- Couldnt kick gens to make them regress
- Commodius, socket + wire. All 4 survivors can bring it in a match
- Killer loses add ons, survivors get to keep them when they escape
- Totem spawns, you could literally spawn on a killer perk (3 perks vs 16)
- Forced to bring Ruin to avoid 4 minute games with weaker killers
- Map size, just pressure gens btw
- Freddy nerf, legion nerf, oni nerf, spirit nerf, nurse nerf, pig nerf
- Enduring no longer works vs decisive
- Old object of obsession vs Wraith cloaked/crouching Pig was broken
- Object Of Obsession vs Freddy is broken
- Infinite windows still exist (Coal tower, Rancid Abattoir etc.)

Can you guys fix some of the killer bugs? I believe one of hag's skins has huge pauses on trap placement. Freddy has similar pause problems with his snares. Killers has sound problem where if you slug a survivor, there's a chance that you can't hear them on the floor and they become completely mute. There's also player-level and the rank up error that randomly appears on scoreboards and it like glitch UI really badly. Decisive strike has problem with doctor. A lot of these are somewhat game breaking bugs that disrupt gameplay so please hotfix if possible.

In recent months, the changes have heavily favored survivors. Instaheal nerfs are valid, and MoM is too, but there are still far too many safe pallets and safe areas on maps.
The amount of killer nerfs has been staggering: Nurse’s map pressure was killed, pig has been nerfed several times, Spirit and Freddy have been nerfed, Ruin nerfed, sounds broken, and worse yet, you have said that more slowdown nerfs are incoming. And also, the last two map reworks have hurt killers even further. If you compare changes from the last few months, it hasn’t even been close.

Keep track of who gets saved. Or if it's too much mental gymnastics for you, use make your choice as a built-in 60 sec timer so you can switch your brain off.

These were necessary changes because they were broken/OP as sin, not just balance changes because of negative reception. Nerfing killers because survivors don't like certain aspects is not the same as nerfing survivors because the killer literally couldn't win in some scenarios.

Long Ago BHVR: We find the synergy for these perks that give movement bonuses (and head on) too strong, so we are going to change them so they can't synergize as well.

Btw if you play the new Doctor compared to the previous Doctor, he is easier and faster to play, so he actually got an incredible buff. Yes they removed the idle madness generation so it's harder to find survivors, but that giant AOE shock - honestly doesn't make much of a difference. If you know a survivor is near, blast that once, and if you don't find anyone. Then you just check the lockers.
I mean don't check the lockers...
Also don't take Iron Maiden...

And he can still cancel out loops with his shock. I am pretty sure that is apart of his base kit now. I don't know much about Doctor because I haven't played him till the update, but I was able to potato stomp 4 red ranks with only monitor and abuse at level 1, compared to before where I just ran around shocking people for a daily. I would say now he is too strong - please don't nerf.
The Hex: Ruin nerf was needed, as it skewed statistic's greatly. Sure it was good at keeping the bad survivors out of the high ranks, but it mostly just carried Killers through green/purple ranks. Creating the problem of too many Killers that were not good at the game getting into high ranks.
Now without Hex: Ruin we have too many unskilled survivors getting into high ranks (which also greatly skew's statistics), which hopefully will be remedied when they start reworking maps, and possibly with the toolbox fix (but honestly toolboxes are just a symptom of the issue, so it won't do much, but make players use less toolboxes).
As far as bug's go, there is a hotfix coming Soon .

Not sure where you get the stats from, steamcharts says max peak for the last 30 days is 44k. But yes, the last time players average was below 20k was August 2019. And since October it is pretty constant on 23k, January is currently at a 4% gain over last month

Because none of them really play and the ones in charge of balance decisions are incredibly bad at the game, designing "balance" changes based on how they lost their last couple rank 20 survivor matches.

Arguably the programming team doesn't care about the horror element and just want survivor to be an easy, non-threatening causal experience. They couldn't care less about horror or the killer experience

From Steam. I just was curious one Sunday morning and looked and it had over 60k players playing. Granted it was on sale (and also free weekend I think). However, the game still has a healthy number of players. This morning when I looked it was over 30k. Just think it they were to make everything cross platform. I know some would be against that because controller vs keyboard mouse, but I've only ever played with a controller (even on steam). They have even made the game more controller friendly on Steam. People can do 360, moonwalk, etc very easily on PS4. I really think they should just go for it. Let everyone play with each other.

There was suggestion to make it optional in some other thread. That would be good. So you can mark every platform (not your own) which you don't want to be matched with. Then you can decide to take the queue times or the probably imbalanced controls. Also a good thing, because as you can find out if it really is a big issue for you, then just set the option again.

That was a different wording. It said recovery is increased. a 100% recovery increase is double speed and would be equal to 50% stun time. The reduction is actually increased. The nerf was about the source of the stun. It only affects pallets now, no DS or Head On anymore

Against DS and Head On, yes. But against pallets it was a slight buff. However, now they can add more stun stuff without worrying about whether the killer has endurance. That was the main point of the change. To keep it from becoming a required perk.

What buffs to exhaustions perks? And just to sum it up: There are 18 killers in the game that could get changes, buts there is only one survivor, cause the rest are just skins. Also killer is the power role. So think about it what would accour more often in the changes? Damn those invalid killer mains thoughts.
