Is It Possible For Non-horror Licensed Movie Killers To Be in the Game?
So, there are some killers from movies and franchises that aren't particularly horror.
The best example I can give you is someone like "The Other Mother" from Coraline, who was technically a killer just the movie isn't horror (believe it or not, it's actually a thriller children's film)
So can something like this happen, or is it too far fetched?

I think the horror genre isn't really a good variety of options in terms of potential licences.
Mrs Trunchbull from Matilda is from a children's book and family friendly movie, she would fit dbd perfectly so you can see how non horror characters can appeal even more so than horror icons.
Also when it comes down to the rule set that the next killer must be a killer icon, you end up with a generic guy with machete who sneaks up to you and attacks you. It's incredibly overdone and kills variety itself.
I wish they'd clarify that this game isn't only for slashers because I always hear how other killers who aren't slashers are not welcome or just don't fit.

I also think Coraline would maybe be a bit too far away. Although I think a puppet killer could be of some nice addon to the game, if done right. Not like Coralines other mom or Annabelle or something. But something more Silent Hill like

I’d like to disagree with you. I’d LIKE to, but you’re half right. Annabelle wouldn’t work and I can definitely say that “The Beldam” from Coraline can be a GREAT killer, if done right!

Coraline is a children's movie, and because of that the rights just aren't going to happen. Idek who owns it but that's just how these things go, and i dont think anyone is asking for that anyway especially with horror icons still on the table, it would be very bizarre. HOWEVER
What a lot of you seem to be forgetting is that the license with the most reps is Stranger Things, which is not any more horror than say Caroline. I think the difference is the Demogorgon is a really good fit for killer. As far as survivors go tho i see no problem adding literally almost anyone. I mean there was apparently a little buzzing between Tony Hawk and the devs….

The other mother is basically the witch from Hansel and Gretel.
Mrs. Trunchbull isn't a killer but a child's monstrous imagination of a strict disciplinarian.
The Grinch is depressed and the gingerbread man isn't evil in the least bit.. His legs are broken off and he still doesn't spill the beans about the muffin man.

Man am i the only one that wants a pirate killer so badly? That would be very cool to see a running pirate with a big ass sword and a pirate hat maybe that would be awesome. Maybe they can add a skin with a map and a horn hanging on his pants for a cool detail and some moss hanging.

Killers from non-horror franchises would be interesting and can help to build the malice/cynical nature of that character (show their true colours).
That said, Killers added should be Killers that have the show revolve around them. Adding something like the 'Pale Man' from Pan's Labyrinth wouldn't work because they have no lore, little scene-time and little-no fans to appeal too.

I know it's technically horror, but it would be neat to have something from Backwater Gospel.
I was thinking the killer could be the Minister. While the obvious choice seems to be the Undertaker, but he never kills directly and is only drawn to where death will soon occur. In this game's lore, he could be an agent of the Entity (due to the crows that come with him) who visits places where people will die to find potential killers.
Bubba could also be a candidate (he could wield a cross as a weapon, which would be interesting), though I don't know what his killer title would be.

How about they fix the mess that is their game before the add anymore licensed killers. Im not going to purchase anything with real money until they fix their game. Them removing ranks from end of game lobby needs to be reversed before Ill invest anymore money into this game.
