Why is Nurse such a rare killer to go against now?

Lemme pull up my list of why I don't play nurse on console
-Hits that should have hit but don't
-If a survivor is running in a straight line, you are not catching up to them, even with blinks
-UR add-ons suck
-All but cooldown add-ons suck
-That weird blink bug still exists where you hear the blink sound repeat until used
-Did I mention hits that should have hit but don't?

ok console makes sense, i played on console for a long time and it’s actually impossible to play her with everything wrong with dbd on console

She had always been a killer who needed a high level of skill to play, the nerf made it take even more skill to play her while also making it very punishing for missing any blink. With nothing to balance this out old nurse players and new players dont want to play her since she is both frustrating and hard to learn and play.

i do think a nerf was needed, probably for her addons that allowed her to have like 5 blinks. but the nerf to her blinks that come with cool downs make it so aggravating to play as her. she can’t play a game without having her blinks glitched and being unable to do anything

Why bother putting the time in to a skilled killer to then have the devs gut it. All that hard work for nothing.

Exactly, better off just sticking with a standard M1 killer. Better still, Oni. Easy to use and very satisfying when you go on a rampage.

I think, it's a combination of recent bugs/issues and how unfun it is to play to deal with two Cooldowns now.
What also plays a role is the huge amount of killers we now have. So a variety killer player will have less opportunity to pick nurse over others especially because she is is hard to master.

nurse isn’t that bad tho imo, yeah she has some obvious downsides that need to be fixed because they’re filled with a bunch of bugs, but she’s strong if you’re good with her

it takes me less than 8-10 seconds to down someone if i find them (after first hit). sure, map could have a possible effect including if they have dead hard but this goes back to my point that once you’ve met nurse’s skill cap, ur basically playing as the best player in the game who can constantly teleport.

The cooldown... That's what killed her and made her 💩💩💩. She can't cover nearly half the ground she use to, and isn't feared by survs anymore. Another PrEtTy gOOd jOb sO fAr...

i do think she has unnecessary needs that are causing bugs and problems with her pressure in games, but a good nurse will never fail to end the match with a 4k. yeah this nerf for her was actually a bad idea but

People who could only play her with addons moved to Spirit. At least based on the repeat players I get in matchmaking. A few I recognized who would always slap omega blink or 5 blink on Nurse I've seen only playing Spirit now.
She's still strong it's just people would rather go for the easier to play killer being Spirit. Granted I'd agree with those saying starting out as Nurse at the moment is awful because the changes Nurse received clearly weren't for new players but for those who already knew how to play her which I'm fine with.

She id easily the strongest killer in the game, but she is not fun anymore. Not because she is harder than before. Thats fine. The problem is that she feels.. just weird. Not smooth. Just kinda.. clunky, laggy, weird.. idk. I simply do not enjoy playin' her. I play every killer except she.

Well with the 2nd blink bug I would say she is literally unplayable when stuff like that happens despite the rework that was focused on her completely ignoring that and will probably not be fixed for a long time.
Please post videos where you're doing this against good survivors on a regular basis. I would love to see how many can just run in a straight line and extend their chases with you with such a dumb tatic. Not completely elude you, just make a chase that should've ended quickly take ages because of her slowness + cooldown.

yes her skill cap is hard to achieve, but you’re probs playing the strongest player if you are skilled as nurse

Bugs that literally stop her from even using her power, and way too clunky. You should definitely be able to charge a blink during power recovery.

Normally when you change a character though you don't just make them worse and clunky, you usually offer at least a somewhat different way to play them.
Oh wait, they did for Nurse! It's called walking as the slowest killer in the game in-between actually playing the game.

Too boring, I would preffer playing survivor and win every game in 5min with no effort and planning.

I would love to see some numbers or videos showing these “strongest nurses” playing, I’ve literally found 2 videos online of her after her nerf and the survivors in them were not playing anywhere near good.
Some people think she’s boring, too hard to learn, or not worth the time, the fact is she needs a rework or at least a buff of some sort.
I gave some constructive ideas, and actually I liked one given by someone else too, base kit nurse when not in chase. They can implement any of this, or come up with their own. The fact remains. Something should be done, please.

I had the wonderful experience of watching a Dwight do literally nothing but run across autohaven twice before I was actually able to catch up to him and go for a hit... all so he could juke the telegraphed hit and reset the chase. That's par for the course now.

I'm guessing the stat post they did like a month or 2 ago? It was a big mess on the forums for a minute lol.
But it showed Freddy as the strongest killer, I didn't pay attention to who was 2nd.

Aside from what the less knowledgable would tell you the nurse died out because of two factors
1..she was designed to be very hard but very rewarding , they added to the difficulty and lessened the reward at the same time..the addon nerf was necessary but the base kit nerf was severely misguided
2..Fun..she was already frustrating at times..now you spend so much time as the slowest thing in the game even after getting stunned just for moving efficiently..her power is lower than that of both spirit and freddy and likely others too but the others are several times more enjoyable at the same time..the issue really stems to the devs assuming they knew better than the players whom easily surpass them do..and the results proved otherwise..

I'll save you the time..nurses performance was only rivaled in low numbers by clown and demogorgan, every other killer beat her

Even though she is the best killer in the game, people can’t hit blinks. The only people saying she is bad are ones who were carried before.
Perhaps if people didn’t want a braindead easy killer then you would see more.

None, that’s how many he has. He’s one of those few people who say she is still “top tier” with no data to back it up even all data suggests the contrary.

I love your argument. Brain dead easy to use and that's why she's considered the hardest to learn, and has a unique "baby Nurse" learning phase.
Because she's so easy and braindead to use.

They need to revert her and just nerf her +blink addons. She was perfectly fine the way she was.

Or at the very least not ham fist a double sided issue in one go. Should've been
nerf addons (lets be honest they didn't really do a good job overall anyways since most are still useless) --> wait and monitor her ---> change her basekit if she's still too ???
Devs still never gave a concrete answer as to why she had to have a basekit change either btw.
