So pound for pound, do killers have a higher skill?
I can't help but think that since it is 4V1 a killer of equal rank is more skilled at the game.
So for instance a rank 9 killer is probably much more skilled than a rank 9 survivor. A killer has so many more things to do and manage. As well they play solo.
A survivor is in a four man team and hence can be boosted or carried so to say. A rank 9 survivor may be real good at stealth but may lack the skill to loop, because someone on their team may constantly take this role.
So what do you guys think. Pound for Pound are killers of equal rank more skilled?

Yes because emblem system is very special.

Yes, Killers do have a higher skill, but only because Killer in general has a significantly higher skill ceiling. There's so much to manage as Killer, and you have to think and plan about all of it on a whim.
The only thing that takes thought for Survivor is chases and teammate-awareness. Even then, you can just use comms or Bond so that the only thing left at all that takes skill is chases.

Most killers do take more skill due to complex mechanics, others are harder to learn and some I would say are pretty skilless to play but balanced nonetheless like spirit

It's hard to say since the roles are so different, I would argue that killer is more stressful though

When looking at these forums...I'd have to agree that killer takes more skill.
But there is more to it I think. When starting out killer is much easier to play. New survivors vs a new killer. It's practically a walking simulator because the survivors don't know how to do any chases. So you walk towards them, hit, walk towards them and hit. Lots of maps and different places to learn how to loop. Knowing when to stealth and when to rush. etc. However there are other people as mentioned to help pick up the slack....or them over. Which could equate to higher rankings.
That being said you could also get lucky and only meet those crappy survivors, or maybe there is only one crappy survivor and the others are good. But if you quickly take out that crappy survivor the other 3 will struggle greatly. There are also different playstyles. You could play the campy tunneling killer and rank up killing teams that just want their friend not to have a bad time. Or you could take the skillful route, and juggle protecting your gens, knowing when and when not to chase survivors. Herd survivors into a bad 3 gen situation. yada yada.
TL;DR I believe Survivors have to git gud much quicker than killers but have a lower skill ceiling. Once a killer starts getting into the purple and red ranks they have to play catch up and git gud themselves. But they have a higher skill ceiling.

That is well put. You are right that the style the killer plays is important when deciding on said skills. And you aren't really pushed as a killer until you get to purple ranks or so.
