Time to remove the burn
Quick suggestion: Remove the flashlight burn on Wraith. I dont understand why this is still in the game. And it cant be that big of a deal to the rid of this.
Thank you

I like Wraith. This is a fine weakness. It’s super easy to dodge, making easy hits on the brave survivors.

I wouldn't be super against it. I don't think it absolutely needs to go, but I wouldn't be too distraught if it did. Most survivors don't even seem to know that you can do it. I go up against plenty of people with flashlights who never even try.

It can also be used to stunlock the wraith with a flashlight as it doesn't decloak you.
Balanced.
Only killers that have that kind of annoying 'counter' are wraith and trapper that aren't that strong in a first place.

Nurse has flashlight burn too if I'm not mistaken but the time window to do it in is so short most people wouldn't ever go for it. I think I've had it happen a few times and it stops you from being able to blink iirc.
6 -
It's it just a regular blind? I know you can blind her that way but I haven't seen the burn.
Still my point stands. These weaknesses are stupid design that weren't carried on to all of ther following killers because they make no sense.

Nurse can be burned (though it's not nearly as easy), and Hag's traps get obliterated by flashlights while also being soft-countered by maps.
I do agree that these counters by items (or perks like slippery meat) are a thing of the past, though.
2 -
It's because they are in the spirit world when using their powers

^this
Don't touch my lore bro!
6 -
Ok spirit doesn't count then.
Trapper's traps being sabo'able is also great design choice.
7 -
idek they made that decision when they made the game also probably because trapper was the first killer in the game
1 -
Does it work when pointing anywhere on them? That seems wayy too easy to do. I thought it had to be like a flashlight stun but was shorter to trigger and only worked during very specific moments.

Hag says hi

That is a bug, to be fair. It is meant to uncloak you.
7 -
Remove wraith all together. He’s annoying and toxic players love him for some reason.
0 -
Well, obviously. Why would you assume the spirit phases using the spirit world? That's just silly. 😂
8 -
How long has the bug been in game? Any plans on fixing it?
Nothing worse than seeing your trap count go back up from clicky click

I like burn, I think it should apply to the spirit as well.
1 -
I believe they used to have an add-on to prevent the burn on Wraith but people just kinda stopped burning for a while and ever since the cloak bug was revealed, I've seen a lot more often. However, I like the lore of it though! Nurse's burn is very difficult to get and doesn't help much unless you're trying to prevent tunnelling. It is unfortunate that we can't burn the Spirit because she travels via the Ethereal Plane or something like that but it would be an effective counter to the arguably strong power.

And how it should work?

It's harder than it sounds. Any wraith can block the beam by walking behind anything or moving around, the beam has to stay on the wraith for some time. And it's much harder to do on the nurse unless she is long charging.

Lightburn is a high risk/high reward mechanic for survivors. The survivor risks getting hit or downed for a POSSIBLE killer stun. The killer can work around lightburns by moving left and right or using line or sight blockers like trees, crates etc. nullifying the survivor's attempt of lightburning the killer resulting in a free hit/down.

honestly, thats one of the coolest downsides the killers have imo.
like, the wraith is supposed to be this creature lurking in the shadows, so shining a light at him exposes and burns him, aswell as forcing him out of the shadows.
the concept is really fitting for this character, so i wouldnt want it to be gone, honestly.
its also not like it was hard to avoid or something like that...
though you'd need to fix the bug where the game still thinks he's cloaked after a lightburn, when in reality he isnt.
1 -
Yea she does still have the lightburn. You need to flash her when she charging

Hello, there is another bug with the Wraith, and it is no less serious. When stunning, the Wraith comes out of invisibility only visually, which is very confusing for you during the game.
I will report this to "BUG REPORTS".
I apologize in advance for my English.

Well, people say it's not a big deal, just hide behind something, but by that you also say "dont use ability for chases". Burn thing makes it hard to bodyblock while uncloaking or assume the closest position for long lunge or keep chasing (because you have to hug survivors for that). Immersive stuff is cool when it doesnt hinder you in your weakest parts.
Oh hey, also a very good opportunity to remind about a burn bug that doesnt get fixed for a couple of month now!

The following should go IMO:
-Sabotaging Bear Traps
-Lightburn
-Flashlights burning Hag traps
-Adrenaline waking up asleep Survivors.
1 -
Light burn would only be ok on wraith if he were strong enough to warrant it existsting..but he isnt..its questionable even for hag but at least she can somewhat deal with it
0 -
But I want to feel the burn
1 -
Minus well get rid of the burn from Nurse as well because I never been burned from my blinks before and against good Nurse, attempting a burn results in a hit.
Don't see the point in burning a Nurse. 😁

You guess where she is
Or an even cooler mechanic would reveal her somewhat when you shine it where you think she is
0 -
Hahahahaha no because then there is no counter to his ability wraith is easily one of the most fun killers

Someone’s salty

Rank 1 survivors know about this and I get stunned all the time, and there is no counter (other than coming out from behind a wall, and you lose distance and it gives them the chance to go to a pallet). It's annoying that the only thing wraith has (a skeak attack) has flashlights and sprint burst to counter it. He's already a basic M1 killer, he doesn´t need too many counters.
What MOST people don't seem to know is that you can stun a nurse, but I'm sure most red ranks know about wraith.

Adrenaline waking up seems fine to me. Freddy would be too oppressive if not even a gigantic burst of adrenaline could free you from his world.
1 -
Nobody really plays the nurse anymore so they have no real way to try that.
0 -
Freddy loses his map presence after last gen is popped so adrenaline is double as useful against him but I don't play freddy so I can't tell much about it

I'm against removing lightburn. It is super rare to actually get stunned this way from my experience anyway. But I like that there are these sort of interactions that take extra knowledge and skill to take advantage of. More often than not it leads to a free hit when survivors try it anyway. Removing it would be a nerf to wraith imho.
1 -
Needs his Boneclapper at base more than anything.
1 -
On PC a lot of people play nurse, I have one or two every night. I've also tried to stun her and it worked, but it's not easy since you have to wait for her to charge a long blink to give time for the burn.

Honestly, a cool idea for Spirit is if she's phasing in ur TR, you can use your flashlight and get to see her. But that would also cause you to be revealed to her while in phase walking.
0 -
Hard disagree. Like, to be fair, this would have been way more urgent back before Freddy was reworked where Adrenaline waking someone up meant Freddy could do nothing against them. So it's not nearly as crippling for him for this to still exist and is not nearly as bad as the others. But there is absolutely nothing about being asleep that make it even remotely risky to remove Adrenaline's interaction with it. If Adrenaline not working against sleep was enough to make Freddy "oppressive," that would just mean that Freddy is fundamentally OP, which is not the case as far as I am aware (apart from the Forever Freddy build which was nerfed when they nerfed the slowdown add-ons).

Imagine talking from your rank 20 experience. Big yikes; I'm assuming you're posting as a common user not as a developer.

I play against red rank survivors all the time who either don’t try it or try it and fail. Slipping behind a tree or box real quick avoids it, or sometimes they start it too late and it’s a free hit.
And yes, this is against red rank players

Nurse 100% doesn't have flashlight burn....wraith is the only killer who can "go invisible" so hes rhe only one who can experience it
0 -
The last match I played as wraith had 2 flashlights and they tried to do this to me. The trick is to stop uncloaking immediately as it lets you move quickly and avoid the flashlight to prevent it. They waste their flashlight and stand nearly still allowing you to then uncloak safely and get a free hit.
0 -
Whats the point? Are you having difficulty dealing with it or are you just complaining about nothing...seems like nothing to me because I guarantee you dont have a single clip of flashlights being trouble for wraith. Infact ove been playing since launch and i personally have never been uncloaked by a flashlight
0 -
Agreed. It should go.
0 -
Please don’t talk about things you don’t know, you can absolutely burn the Nurse during her charge animation.
2 -
There's a difference between 100% cannot be, and 100% haven't experienced it yet.
0 -
If someone tries to Lightburn you just move around. They'll either waste their flashlight or stop trying.
Also, half the time you Uncloak you should be out of LOS anyway so you can make better use of the Ambush aspect of your power. Survivors don't hear the bell ring until the Uncloak is about half over.
Unless you try to pull off a body block against someone with a Flashlight, Lightburn shouldn't be an issue.
I personally would like to see it stay in the Game for lore reasons, and see Wraith given slight buffs in other ways.
