Darken maps but only for survivors
And lighten maps for killers.
Is this acheivable? Would you want there to be a difference?
Survivors complain about the maps not being as atmospheric as they used to be but killers complain when they can't see anything.
It would even make sense in the Lore, the fact that flashlights blind killers and not survivors suggest that they are sensitive to light, as if they see better in the dark.

It's funny, I was thinking along these lines the other day. In slasher movies, the killer can usually see in near pitch darkness. Light and shadow play a part in the suspense. I'm assuming it was be wildly unbalanced in a game like this, but it would be fun.

Maps in this game are way to bright for a horror game, flashlights are completely useless as a lighting tool, so yeah, maps shoud be way darker.
(Un)fortunately this game is more focused on gameplay and not horror elements, so dont see that happening.
Darkening the map only for surviviors could be sort of a solution, but Im afraid survivior mains would start screaming that the game is killer biased, so I dont think its going to happen either.

So freddy's dream world lighting for killers baseline?
I can get down with that.

I just wonder how they would do this @JawsIsTheNextKiller but then wouldn't survs complay they are seen because the map is lightened for the killer? I wish to see something like in my overcooked game, pitch black but have a few lanterns and spots can see anything! lol

I think this would completely ruin the game. The fun of the game to me resides in the ability to hide and to attempt use the various visual and audible clues to try and outsmart other players. The snow map is really bright and the experience suffers quite a bit imo.
