Please fix Shelter Woods (and other maps)
I was thinking about it and I think Shelter Woods could be the overall worst map in the entire game for Killer. The absolute worst. There's a lot of contenders for worst maps like Blood Lodge, Gas Heaven, Groaning Storehouse, Suffocation Pit, Wretched Shop, Rancid Abattoir, Thompson House, Fractured Cowshed, Disturbed Ward, and Badham Preschool. Damn, that's a lot of bad maps.
Every one of those maps aside from Shelter Woods you can very definitely point at the one major problem that -if fixed- would make the map fair. Like, removing the giant, incredibly massive cluster of pallets in the center of Blood Lodge, Gas Heaven, Groaning Storehouse, and Suffocation Pit (both spots at both ends in this one). That's it. They get 2-3 pallets in these spots and that's it, no more, no less, they're done.
Then Wretched Shop (the shop loop with 2 windows and multiple pallets surrounding the shop), Thompson House (the big massive clusters of safe pallets at both ends of the house), Fractured Cowshed (the barn is a massive loop spot with pallets everywhere), Abattoir (the slaughterhouse with the window, pallets everywhere), Disturbed Ward (center building have multiple safe pallets and vaults), and Torment Creek with the sheer number of pallets.
Not to mention that horribly designed spot in Coldwind where there's a pig carcass in the center, a safe pallet, and a vault, and the spot almost always spawns next to the shack or some other pallet.
*I forgot to address Badham: Badham got kind of fixed where a ton of pallets inside and outside of the school were removed but it still has that two story house with a safe pallet and at least 6-8 windows. That one spot still needs to be fixed.
Shelter Woods is a special kind of bad. The problem is that there's pallets everywhere, literally everywhere, and every single pallet is safe. The act of breaking these pallets takes forever because Survivors are allowed to loop every single spot at least 2-3 times or more. When they finally throw it down they either loop it again, forcing you to get Bloodlust, or if you break it or get a hit they just take a couple steps to get the next safe pallet and repeat the process.
The other pallets in other maps can be horrible but at least you have a chance at juking them or if you break the pallet, and the one after that, that spot is done. At the least you get that. Not so in Shelter Woods.
I remember one time in Shelter Woods, I was using Leatherface, I slugged a guy and went after the last guy. And that one guy was able to 1v1 me and get to every single pallet. At least 10+ pallets.
You could pick Hillbilly in that map (Shelter Woods) and you're still going to get looped not unless you get tremendously lucky.
Here's how you fix Shelter Woods: remove every single pallet by the stone vault spots. You know those partial buildings with a vault spot? Just remove the pallets in all those spots. Or just cut the number of pallets by half. I don't know just how many there are in Shelter Woods but it feels like 20+. Just cut it down to 10 or even 8 including the Shack pallet.

Honestly I've never had a problem with Shelter woods. Then again it might just be a good Doc/Pig/Clown map. Coldwind on the other hand. Please change those jungle gyms so that killers have some mindgame potential.

This map can't be fixed by a simple pallet adding/deleting. It's structure is extremely bad, ther are ONLY pallets and the worst part is that they all are next to each other and there's no L T windows so that chases on this map are boring. But when someone else ends up in the place other survivour was chased they're dead. This map was and still is the worst one in DbD.

That being part of the map rework. It must not consist of 30% forest, 50% pallets and 20% windows. Right now it for some reason does. If I remember correctly, there are only 2 randomly generated chunks that are windows that look like L T others being pallets and later turning into nothing. They need to add some foresty new window chunks, make the giant tree part do something gameplay wise instead of just being a huge performance eater, and decrease amount of pallets/ make them not safe.

Yeah was surprised that this kind of map even exist. Similar maps of that nature includes rotten fields too. Utterly garbage waste of time to even play on
