Should I just stop using Hex perks?

This is the fifth time in a day I've got a lit totem spawning in the middle of everywhere. I mean this one is right in front of the exit gate, next to a hook, and a gen.

Earlier one was just outside a killer shack, with the basement. No one ever goes looking around there eh?

Then one two feet from a gen. Gee, I wonder if a survivor might see that during their gen rush..

Seriously what's the point in trying to use hex perks of the RNG spawns for then are going to be so consistently terrible?

I got lucky with a Devour Hope totem placed outside the shack (along the wall without an opening) and managed to get 5 stacks and 2 moris before someone found it.. Main reason being that I didn't get into chases with people over there during that game, that helped a lot.

I was doing a mori daily with Leatherface, got to 5 stacks using m1+chainsaw before reaching 3, and then just the chainsaw until I had 5 stacks, to down + mori the first guy when they found out I had the perk. I prefered playing it safe and getting to 5 first to prevent them from looking for the totem too early otherwise.

But yeah.. took me a few games to get that daily done, and it was mostly because I kept getting ######### totem placements, in the middle of nowhere, not even hidden, or right next to a generator.. Lots of maps need a totem spawn point rework..

They are constantly improving RNG and places for totems. But sometimes, that happens... and we are far from perfection. But some maps have pretty good totem places, as Suffocation Pit.

Imo, ill keep using then, if useful for the specific killers strategy. But i aways use then supposing will be cleansed at some point in the game. So i get more happy when they arent.

    Oh yeah same.

I love running Devour Hope when I feel like just killing people, or see how many stacks I can get before it gets destroyed. Same with Third Seal.. see if I can get everyone blind before it gets destroyed. Sometimes it stays up all game and I get a few hook deaths because the survivors weren't paying attention when the other guy got hooked and can't find them. Best is when I come across someone with Object of Obsession.. Thanks for the free aura read for the rest of the game! ;p

I wouldn't worry about it. On some maps they can be really hard to find. Some hexes are really strong too and waste the survivor's time, not to mention give away their location when broken.

I know they're improving locations, I just think a few hard rules could be implemented. Not spawning them a specific distance from a generator for instance, or open hallways. Corn fields are fine, but right there as your walk around the institute, not cool. The outside edges of shacks? I mean survivors sounds half their time looping around those things windows to pallets etc.
