Any killers got tips for a newbie killer?
I've just recently started playing killer after many many games as a survivor, and I'm honestly havin' a bit of a hard time with getting any kills. My matches typically end in zero kills and at least 9-14k bloodpoints, mainly for chasing. Also I should mention that I play nurse, she seemed like an easy killer ta play 😅

I'm not one to discourage players from playing Killers they like, but for a beginner I wouldn't use Nurse as a starting point in-game, she's quite difficult to get the hang of and that's especially the case for Post-Nerf Nurse.
If you want a starting point for a Killer than I recommend one of the S Tier Killers known as Billy for short. Hill-Billy or Billy is in-fact the most balanced and versatile Killer in the entire game, Billy can be a dominant super power in a match in the right hands and a versatile Killer that can apply pressure, break pallets with easy, and cut off loops with little effort and the right mind-games.
The Killer themselves is fairly easy to understand as well, his M2 power (The Chain-saw Sprint) can be used for map mobility and as well as an easy power to break pallets and instantly down healthy Survivors when you land a chain-saw sprint on them. Simply chase a Survivor and than rev your chain-saw behind them, make sure to wait for the right opening unless you know they're not trying to juke the hit and boom! An instant down for you to hook.
Using perks like BBQ & Chili, Whispers, Enduring, and Spirit Fury is a great combo for Billies to use, especially when these perks can easily track and "endure" hits from pallets AND reward Billy for breaking pallets with a free pallet break from The Entity themselves with Spirit Fury, hency why Enduring + Spirit Fury is a meta staple for Hill-Billy.
Even if you don't have these perks unlocked, using Enduring by itself on Billy is more than enough, Spirit Fury just adds a bit more "pizzazz" to the mix.
Basically...
If you want a good starting point than I recommend Hill-Billy to get you started on basic M1 chases and also rewarding you for using his power effectively for map pressure, mobility, and downing Survivors with ease.
I'll link a video below that covers The Hill-Billy in a more in-depth way, but before I do I recommend you go into your control settings and allocate your left and right camera movement buttons to E for Right and Q for Left, doing so will allow you to move around a lot easier when Sprint as Billy than you would with just moving the mouse side to side, it's more accurate and easier to manage when attempting to chainsaw a Survivor.
Anyways, here's the video i'd like to suggest you watch
The video is fairly long but it's very well made for beginners and advanced users a like, if you want a "shorter version" than look below.
also please review this video to better understand basic tiles
This video below will go over the basic tiles that spawn in most the maps, excluding Hawkins, Lery's, The Game (for some parts), etc.
These tiles are located in most of the maps in DBD and it's important to understand said tiles and know how to mind-game and fight against them as a Killer, i'll link the video below to better educate you on some of the most common tiles/loops that you'll face as a Killer and what tricks Survivors will use to effectively loop you around said tiles.
(Side-Note) The video is a bit dated since it takes place after Lery's map rework and other maps inclusion to the game like Hawkins for example. Despite this, the video is still informative and can be used as a guide for Survivors to use and Killers to also use against Survivors!

Nurse is definitely not the easiest killer to play. She's the strongest, but she's also by far the most difficult to master. If you really enjoy playing her, I would definitely encourage you stick with her, but do so knowing that you will probably spend a long time getting no kills at all before you eventually get the hang of her. The only concrete advice I can give for Nurse is use your knowledge of the maps and your experience as a survivor to predict what the survivors are going to do and use that to your advantage.
If the steep learning curve on Nurse is something which you find too discouraging, you can try learning an easier killer and coming back to her later. Depending on which DLC you have, Hillbilly, Hag, Myers, Doctor, Cannibal, Pig, Oni and Plague are all killers which either have a reputation for being easy, or who I personally have found easy to pick up. Not necessarily to master, but to get enough of a basic grasp on to do well at lower ranks. Who you pick should depend on whose gameplay style appeals the most to you and what you find enjoyable.
If video tutorials are your thing, I can also recommend a couple of videos that I personally think are useful and informative.
Otzdarva makes a lot of videos focusing on builds for different killers. Below are his guides for the best basic perks to use on each killer, which is useful if you're just starting out and don't have many options, and what he believes to be the best/most rewarding builds for each killer since the Ruin nerf.
Scott Jund is a streamer I personally find very helpful, and an experienced killer main, who has created several tutorials about how to play killer well, and how to run loops as killer (linked below).
You can also find a lot of in-depth guides on particular killers, like the ones FireHazard linked about for Hillbilly, once you decide who you want to play.

I'm not sure I'd recommend Hillbilly as a first Killer myself. I, personally, find his chainsaw a bit unwieldy to use easily. That COULD just be me, though.
That said, among the base game Killers I'd suggest Trapper or Wraith to start with. Outside of their powers (setting traps and invisibility, respectively) they're fairly basic and can help with getting those basics down without excessive gimmicks or tricks to worry about. That's the main reason I agree with avoiding the Nurse, at least at first. She plays differently from every other Killer so she isn't a good choice for learning Killer in general.
For more general tips, a free things I can think of are, when in doubt, patrol generators to find Survivors, and try to be careful of tunnel vision, not to be confused with tunneling, where you focus on one chase to the detriment of your ability to pressure the rest. You've likely has Survivor games where the Killer was so focused on one person you could do your thing basically unhindered.

No problem, I do hope you enjoy playing with him, he can be quite fun when you start to learn his patterns and most efficient play-styles.
And if you enjoy playing Nurse than you can watch the several other videos above that'll give you an idea on how to use her more efficiently.

I do honestly enjoy playing nurse, and I've actually made a few moves ta trick survivors (basically moonwalking to make them think I'm still going a certain way.) I've also managed to get better at timing my blinks so that's pretty cool.
Also thanks for the video recommendations, I'll be sure to watch them in my free time.

If you really enjoy playing Nurse, keep doing that 😊 My brother is like you - he's quite new, not only to killer but the game, and he has an absolute blast playing Nurse even though he doesn't do well most of the time. He doesn't mind, because he's still having a good time, and he's definitely improving. She is pretty great in a lot of ways if you're willing to put the hard work into learning to play her effectively, so I'm glad to hear that you're figuring out ways to play better and having fun doing it!

In order to be a good killer, you should know how to be a good survivor or at least know how they think :)

I personally think if you become a good Killer than you can learn how to be a good Survivor from all the tricks you have to face against tough Survivors and vice versa as well.
Essentially speaking if you pick either side and than decide in the future you want to play that side too, than you'll know all the tricks because you had to face against those tricks before.
