Do devs care about reports?

I've recently been getting into alot of games were the killer teams with a survivor,(im excluding free escapes when they are last) the killer will just not target a survivor entirely i was just in a game full party of people on xbox they were new im not but the killer brings an ebony one of my teammates die, and gets mad and invites the killer to the party blah blah blah fast forward 5 or so minutes and its me and another guy in the party, the killer starts too say "ohh tell me were he is and ill let u escape" of course these group post players agree and do so i get found hooked and the bubba asks the survivor hes teaming with to hook bomb me to mori he does i die he lives do the devs care about the report?

They definitely care, if they receive sufficient evidence that someone is actually doing something wrong. They won't ban anyone just based on the word of another player. So in a situation like the one you described, what they are doing is definitely reportable, but you will need to not only report them in the scoring screen, but also submit a support ticket with evidence proving that they were teaming up against you, including a recording of the match to show what happened.

the evidence basically has to be video recorded most of the time. Unfortunately this means that those with lower end pcs or lack of video recording capabilites/equipment, pretty much can't report anyone effectively. On one hand, I want to say this is unfair. On the other, I take the side it's not. Why should anyone be arrested for a crime they didn't commit simply because someone said they saw them commit the crime? It's just the way it is, it's unfair to those without the tech , but it's more fair the other way around.

sorry. I mean to say, situations like this, at least on PC, rquire video evidence. I really have no idea about xbox. I assume it's similar. best to read it.

Thats good to hear im going to start recording now when this stuff happens. But under some of the report things it says stuff like "unsportsmanlike" im guessing that means sending a mean message would dbd take any action for xbox or is it just pc (since we have our own ban system for that)

We don't deal with the chat on consoles @Popsos360 that has to go to Microsoft in the case of Xbox, we can only deal with the in-game chat on PC's (private messages on PC, would be dealt with by Steam as well).

And Unsportsmanlike behaviour would be for things like lagswitching or the killer & survivor working together for example.
