thank god !!! finally after years.. that should be from day one honestly.. now rework that he dont need to go for trap through whole game and he will be fine

Anyone mind explaining what the surprise was for those of us who can't watch?
Edit: Oh wait, brain fart. Trapper can now reset traps without having to pick them up, right?
1 -
You no longer have to pick up a trap to reset it after a survivor disarms it or steps in it.

D+, which is basically what Trapper is now. Like going home with a hot lady, then she takes her teeth out and plops them in a cup of water. Sure, it has its uses for some folks, but was expecting something much, much better.
1 -
Based on earlier comments (I didn't watch either) it appears that Trapper can now re-set traps that are on the ground already instead of having to pick them up and then set them back down again.
1 -
Interesting analogy. I too think of Trapper as a hot lady.
4 -
Are you suggesting hot ladies put bear traps in their mouth?
Anyways, B-. More than I was expecting and actually welcome.
2 -
Trapper can now Reset traps on. The ground. Instead of picking up which is a good QoL because it wastes less time for him when a traps in a good place
2 -
Really welcomed QoL.
Not sure about the practicality though.
Most time you want to pick up the trap, cause the survivor move it away from the spot you want it to be set.

Really good.
Any buff to the weaker killers is welcome.

Cool change but o thought it would be more, i haven’t coded in over 2 years but I’m pretty sure I could even do that change myself
1 -
The ones worth going home with do. Don't you kink shame me!
1 -
That'll definitely make Trapper overpowered, expect a Trapper nerf mid-chapter
4 -
Happy.
But I would be happier if he could carry 2 traps as base

-10. What a massive waste of time.

2/10 surprise
One small QoL adjustment extremely overhyped as a surprise.
It's welcome but it's like hearing that totems will break louder or something which doesn't really matter too much.
4 -
How is saying there's a small surprise overhyping it?
1 -
I heard it was "another surprise" similar to the hype surrounding the new chapter.
I would say that is overhyping it. Not like it matters, I'm just giving it a rating.

Sincerely hope this is a prelude to a full add-on or base kit overhaul, though. It would be nice if he didn't have to waste as much time at the beginning of the match.

This dev stream was really interesting and thanks for the Trapper buff

Cool for Trapper players but nothing I'm gonna flip for since I don't play much Trapper. Still a VERY welcomed Qol change. :)

This is actually quite a big deal and it's personally 1 of 3 things I've been wanting to see on Trapper for a long time.
Small changes like this are always welcome.

The biggest surprise was seeing Peanits for the first time and him looking completely different to what I imagined. Had him down as more of a viking like his old profile pic.
5 -
same! i liked his shirt though!

Now fix Rainbow Maps showing his traps.

Peanits stated in another post prior to the stream that it had nothing to do with the new chapter.
1 -
That is like so hot, no teeth to be afraid of.
0 -
He's been on stream before.

I didn't research everything about every comment to do with the surprise. I'm just saying I had thought it to be much more elaborate than a small tweak to trapper.
I'm not complaining I'm just stating my opinion like the thread asks.

so.. like a 4 second improvement?
watch out..
1 -
I don't know if the team already addressed this as well, but still, this is important:
prevent traps from changing position after they are triggered!
Right now once a survivor disarm a trap or get trapped in it, the trap will slightly change its position - this means that resetting the trap in place will not set the trap exactly where it was before, and that's a huge thing in certain spots (actually: most of the spots)
