Is bodyblocking jigsaw boxes bannable?
Just had a game where where I blocked the last jigsaw box that this one guy hadn't searched through and got a party hat kill. He'd then messaged me saying how I'm getting reported and all that good stuff. I just want to be clear as to what to it's bannable or not, since I've seen so many others do it and I've only recently started playing pig.

No it is not, its like bodyblocking to prevent the killer from hitting an injured survivor. Or Bodyblocking when trying to hook someone, it is just a part of the game.

I got body blocked into a corner one time by a leather face, and man I was angry but technically not against the rules. It's kinda rude tbh but, I guess it beats being body blocked by your own troll team mates or being blocked by survivors.

Depends on if he bodyblocked you to guarantee a chainsaw hit, did it so you could die to the endgame collapse, or did it to hold you prisoner indefinitely. The last one is actually against the rules and reportable.

This is why it would be nice to see something like an "honour" system so that those who want to abuse mechanics like Borrowed Time bodyblocks, facecamping and tunnelling or any of those other techniques that everyone LOVES to complain about, so that those who commonly do this are sent to their own little area where they can do this endlessly.

It's not bannable. It's a strategy. A scummy one (like camping), but a strategy nonetheless. Sort of like bodyblocking or zoning someone at the end game collapse waiting for the timer to make sure he dies.

How do YOU suggest we fix these problems then? Personally, I'm sick to death of being punished for others playing to troll others. I'm so frustrated with being hardcore face-camped by cloaked Wraiths who can't play the game properly. I'm about ready to delete the chainsaw killers with how many of them simply rely on it and waste my time with their chainsaw when they could have already downed me with 2 basic attacks.
So, let's see you come up with a better idea to remove these problems from the community.

I try to promote debate and discussion. It seems though that a lot of people simply don't want that.
That's also nothing against @TAG specifically, it's just that if you are going to criticise something that I've said, then it would just be better to actually give me a way to improve on my point if it's an idea to implement, or good counterpoints relevant to the discussion at hand. I admit that my idea is open to abuse, but so is the current system.

The game developers promote a downright scummy play style that completely ruins the game and setting for a good portion of its players.
I'm talking killers and survivors. If they cut out some of the more toxic abilities in the game, they might find it easier to balance the game.

Well, it'd be similar to a respect thing. If you, say, get a "Props" at the end of the game, your rating goes up. If you play dirty by hardcore tunnelling, facecamping, hook-tech with Borrowed Time, teabag excessively to annoy other players or anything that does indeed really annoy the community at large, then you get a negative rating. The lower your rating, the more likely you are to be limited to playing with people within a certain threshold. Those who excessively play dirty and try to ruin games for others may even be pretty much locked into lobbies with like-minded people.
It'd act like a "Code of Conduct" Matchmaking, alongside the actual matchmaking. Rank matchmaking will still take priority, of course, but being a respectable individual will make it more likely for you to load into a game faster. You also cannot rate those who you are grouped up against with SWF, similar to Overwatch and their Endorsement system.
I admit that it's not perfect, but hey. If there's a way to help stop some of the most rage inducing strategies around, then it might be worth looking into. If you can think of a way to improve it, then let me know.

The problem with that is that camping is regularly defined as "not instantaneously disappearing from the map after hooking a survivor" by a significant number of survivors and genrushing is defined as "any game where the exit gates are powered" by a significant number of killers. Players can't really be trusted. It would have to be based on actual data. And if they were going to actually put resources into that, it would be far more intelligent to just put those resources into counterplay for genrushing, tunneling, camping, and excessively long chases.

EDIT: Whoops, wrong thread. Um, yeah, it's only holding the game hostage if you body block in such a way that the game will basically be stuck continuing for a very long time.

It's also like saying how spamming the Sportsmanship endorcement for thr extra XP and loot boxes in Overwatch is inflating statistics. There's not really that much of a way around it.
That does sound like a community problem. Like a lot of the problems in the game. Thought that it might be somethi to consider since other advice isn't always applicable, such as "just gen-rush facecampers" since the ither guy just as to sit there and take it.

There's a big difference between spamming something that can give extra reward and spamming something that can dole out punishment. And it goes beyond one person spamming it multiple times. What happens if multiple salty people all downvote the same person over the course of several games simply because that player good at the game? There's nothing that player can do to stop themself from being given a bad branding by the system and being grouped according. If there's nothing that can really be done about it, and "it" in this case has a reasonable chance of dishing out justice to innocent players, then that doesn't sound like a good system to take a chance on.

I love it when people tell me that I cant body block survivors in corners with plague for a down with her power, if you don't know who the killer is or if it's a killer that can instant down you in a corner than don't hide in corners. I have had so many people report me for doing this with billy, leather face, Oni, plague, and for some reason doctor, capitalizing on ideal downs is just how you play killer.

At a box, the person will die when the trap goes off. Game ends. No hostage.
I frequently do the pink addon, 1 trap, 2 boxes, and play 50/50 with the victim. Pick one. I'll be at the other. If you picked wrong, you die.
