to the developers

What I don't understand about the game developers I don't get they want to hold people accountability for disconnecting but don't want to fix the killer hitbox Also I don't get how they don't want to hold killers accountable for tunneling survivors that's the big problem right there killers want to go after the same survivors over and over until they are either on death hook or until they are dead also I think the game developers should also hold people survivors accountable for not doing generators just using urban evasion to creep around the whole map while not getting detected by killer waiting to find the hatch I think they should start banning them also people who play the just to troll other survivors should be held accountable I had a very bad experience with these red ranks and I was purple rank they took turns getting the spirit tokens up until she was able to get the devour hope hex then she mori all of us and I end up disconnecting because they want to be mad toxic towards people who take the game mad serious please start holding lazy survivors and tunneling killers accountable

    1. What's wrong with the killer hitbox?
    2. Tunneling is a legitimate, not to mention effective, strategy. It's just not very fun for survivors. Killers don't need to be held accountable for doing things that aren't fun in order to win the game. There are also survivor perks which can be used to counter tunneling if it's a problem for you.
    3. You can't ban people for not helping their team. Firstly, because that would mean banning half the new players in the game, which would be a disastrous business move, and secondly, because how would you even monitor people's behaviour closely enough to know if they deserve a ban?
    4. Griefing other survivors, on the other hand, is bannable, although it's hard to tell whether that's really what they were doing in the situation you described. If they were doing it specifically to get you killed, then that is bannable, but farming and throwing the game are not bannable offences. If you believe they were griefing, you need to have first reported them in the post-game scoring screen, and then submit a support ticket with additional video evidence to back up your report, which you can do at this link here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=191426

    @Clarence_Brown24

For context, everything had already been said above, but if you intentionally made the post to get an answer from a Dev than that's something that rarely happens.

Not because they don't care, but because of the notification this sub-forum has when you enter it. I'll quote it so you can read it in this comment if you can't find it. "Please note: Although we may stop by occasionally, this is not a developer Q&A."

    As for some side-notes...

The Killer hit-boxes are fine, I don't entirely know why you'd think otherwise. If you're getting this information from a recent Dev Stream that talks about hit-boxes, than that doesn't entirely mean they're broken...? That's just how they're designed.

Here, i'll even link that dev stream below so you can see how the hit-boxes work (skip to 5:56)

Uhh it's alot wrong with the hit box when jumping over obstacles such as pallets and window faults you still get automatic hit and if you use feng min perk lithe you still get hit after you completly over the window fault or pallet I'm trying to figure out if a killer has a melee how can they hit you over pallets and window faults thats not legit now let's say if someone jump over a car and you try to hit them the melee will reflect back to you the only person should be able to hit you over things is the huntress with the hatchets and the plague if yall not going to fix this game yall minus well make the game free or give everyone back money because all the money I put in this game I could of spent it on a different game

If you are fast vaulting (the faster animation when you run straight at the window from a good angle), the killer can still hit you if they are close enough but it's by far safer than medium vaulting (when you go through the window while running from a poor angle resulting in a slower animation). When you fast vault, your hitbox moves away from the window quicker. Medium vaulting is almost always a guaranteed hit because your hitbox stays against the window for longer. Killers can hit survivors through windows. Make sure you have a lobby with decent ping as well. Hitboxes can definitely be a little odd at times on higher pings.

I think this is pure bullshit how you guys rather bring out DLC to bring in more players but won't fix the game mechanic I'm a graphic designer and I bet you if I learn how to work unreal engine and learn how to code C# or C++ I bet you I can make a better game then this ghetto piece of trash game

That's not the hitbox, that's latency. It's explained how it all works in the video FireHazard linked above. The devs are looking to improve the impact of latency on the game, but it's really not as easy as it sounds, because latency isn't something that can ever be removed entirely.

I mean, would you rather have stagnation with the overall content of the game? Or a hitbox change that isn't really MASSIVELY needed at this time?

The hitboxes are working as intended, but of course sometimes this is questioned due to hitbox size, weapon hitboxes on shorter weapons, window vaulting, latency issues, etc. I may have listed some things there, but those are just some common things that Survivors and/or Killers face from time to time. Here, i'll even give explanation to those things I listed below.

    Weapon hitboxes

For example, Freddys Claw is memed to be a lot longer than it should be, but this is because his hitbox was extended to line up with every other Killers hitbox. So from a Survivors perspective, his hitbox is A LOT longer than it should be, but it's actually just as long as Myers, Trappers, etc. It just looks disjointed because of how short his weapon is, the same goes for Killers like The Hag.

    Window vaulting

Some Survivors and Killers notice that they should've hit a Survivor that vaulted over a window... but they didn't and instead hit the rim of the window itself.

This could be because of various things like lunging too late, auto-aim acting up, or the Survivors hitbox extending out before your lunge hit it. I find this one funny because a lot of window vaulting will still get you hit anyways, which a lot of Survivors have said and shown in video where some hits shouldn't have hit... but they hit anyways.

Some examples are at the Cranes window in Azarov's where the Killer still hits you despite your character being in mid-fall, or other things like like that. It's hard to say what causes this, latency, hitboxes reacting to the vault, etc, but it's not really that big of an issue if you know how to effectively use windows.

    latency issues

This one is of course not intentional, so there isn't much to say on this. Latency issues happen randomly and it's either caused by the Survivor/Killers connection to Dedicated Servers or the overall ping being too high.

Of course this will make some loops unfair, since lagging in-game or having latency issues will cause some wacky things to happen.
