Eye for an Eye, Nerf for Nerf
If Hangmans Trick detections is lowered from 16 meters to 6 meters, then sabo'ing hooks should take an extra 3-4 seconds to execute.

(God I am about to sound like a dev here)
Hangman's trick was nerfed due to how far it could see
If you hit the survivor sabo'ing a hook I believe the survivor should get hit by a cooldown if they are using Sabo, however if you see a survivor going for the sabo drop that survivor and chase the survivor attempting to sabo the hook, now you are applying pressure

They could have given hangman's trick a slight nerf of a couple meters and it could have shook the meta as a new go to perk... now its trash.. lol

Sabo needs to be relevant as it gives survivors another objective, if you want to nerf it and get every survivor group to just keep gen rushing you then sure, nerf sabo. Hangman's trick was overpowered in its ptb state.

Yeah the perk does doesnt matter if they have a toolbox.

I rather they use the toolbox on the hook than on a gen

Even if you get hit with an Alex's you only have enough time to sabo the hook and then you will be hit again, I had this happen multiple times last night (still had a blast doing it though since I saved people on death hook)

Ok, so the perk was nerfed with that, but like someone pointed out, the main mechanic still is to fast.
Most people are gonna run toolboxes for sabatoge now, as even though they are faster, the charges are lowered. Yeah, you lose a few extra charges being hit and having to reset the sabo, but the cost-benefit of the interaction is totally worth that and a health state.

Yeah but like i posted in the thread i made just have ds and then when the killer goes to punish you for saboing the hook ds him and congrats he lost both people. (Perfectly balanced isnt it i abuse ds to go out of my way to ######### over the killer twice over).

DS just needs a fundamental change (hence why I don't use it), but I don't want to turn this thread into a talk about that perk. Also half the time this strategy only worked since I was also running breakout.

You guys don't care to put this in the perk description? The wording needs to be updated to reflect this. Had no idea until it happened to me yesterday. Never mind it's already a dang minute to minute and a half cooldown for one hook.

It says in the perk description the sabotage action (not completion) has a cooldown. So if you started it regardless of whether or not you completed it, it goes on cooldown.

Time to make Franklin's base. At least the 'item drop' part. That way killers stand a chance against sabotaging survivors. Survivors have to pick their item up before they continue to sabotage that way.

I think hangman’s original range should be brought back but only reveal survivors capable of sabotaging. (saboteur or a toolbox) Any other survivor would only show up in the new nerfed range

That's actually pretty nice. But it doesn't apply to toolboxes, right? I think it might be kinda nice if it would at least be interrupted long enough for the killer to stick the carried survivor on the hook real fast before the sabo can be started again. Seems like it would be a bit too easy for survivors to use the hook as a low-risk way to stop the hook and force the killer to circle the hook to try to hit them twice before the carried survivor wiggles off.
