Rank reset fixed? What will happen tomorrow?
Did the devs ever say if they figured out the rank reset bug @Peanits ? Or is tomorrow just gonna be random rank day again

What is the actual reasoning behind rank resets to begin with?.. All it does is force people to play with lower skill levels, cause frustration and make them have to grind back?

My guess is to keep the ranks varied. If everyone was Rank 1 for both sides, new players would only encounter the super skilled and that would be a tad unfair, but at the same time, when rank reset hits, those same players may end up encountering these players because of the said reset. So I guess it's a double-edged sword.

To seperate people based roughly on skill and time played.
It's not a ranked system. It's a matchmaking tool. If it didnt exist, the "best of the best" would sit there stagnantly and new players would likely never get there. If you're good, grinding back up isnt hard anyway.

Has nothing to do with being good.. Just from personal experience it's more of a pain in the ass pipping off lower rank killers because they either tunnel vision on 1 person or are more likely to camp a hook

And if you played well, those things wont matter. Unless you're caught first, every game, and camped tunneled to death in all of those games, you can still pip up easily.

It's actually sad that the team is unreliable to a point where we have to "cross our fingers" to hope something that is supposed to work just..you know..works.

It was fixed. Sadly you unfixed it again, when we will only get reset back 1 color.

This, people who say they CANT pip against bad killers are just exaggerating and making excuses. LIke Carpe says unless you are tunneled/camped from the start every game you can do enough to PIP, especially at Purple ranks which is what you'll be booted to if it works.
