Scrapped tape is worse than I imagined
I decided to try out Scrapped Tape for the first time since I originally got doctor shortly after his release, and it's even worse than I remembered. For some reason, I thought that the circle was split evenly between the center hole and the outer ring, so 2m each. But seriously, just a 1m ring around a 3m deadzone? That's wild. I only got about three shocks the entire match, even after I was getting the hang of where the shock would be. Thank heavens for the shock bomb, or else everyone would've been playing against a killer whose only power was to sometimes slow himself down for no reason.
I sincerely hope that this thing gets some changes soon. I see now that my idea of filling in the hole would be a bit much, considering how big the total area is, but I'd love to see the area shrank and maybe have the shock pulse inwards in 1m strips. Anyone else have any ideas for how this item could be changed in a way that would keep its central appeal, since apparently it's an item with a cult following?

I think they should just make the shock a certain radius around the doctor.

I never used that addon. I was always curious to try it with maple knight just to see what it's like but keep forgetting.

That's another thing; Maple knight doesn't actually show where it'll hit. The shock border from the knight is hovering about six feet off the ground when you equip them both together.

If it was up to me then I'd say "screw the cult following, rework the add on". But since it's not up to me then the smart thing is to probably just forget it exists, never use it, and avoid buying it if possible on bloodwebs. Ignorance can be bliss sometimes.
