Petrified oak worthless...
So recently I was in a match with two of my friends and all three of us ran petrified oak as it says that they stack, yet we were still able to find hooks all over the map within 15 meters of each other... I mean seriously it's a purple offering and we use three of them and I'm pretty sure had we not used any the Hawks wouldn't have been any closer together. What's everyone's thoughts on this???

Its not really an offering that guarantees free wiggle escape. It's power comes with the killer and hook distance, giving someone enough time to sabotage, or when you are picked up and the hooks near you are already used and theres no available hook near you. Petrified Oak benefits from big maps the most.

I know this, what I'm referring to is the lack of distance between hooks despite having used three petrified oaks. They wouldn't have been any closer had we not used any.

Most of the offerings are worthless.
The Shroud of seperation is worthless for the killer since it just makes getting everyone in one go harder whilst survivors are easier to get bunched up. Most powers damn well rely on survivors being bunched up for proper effect.
Petrified Oak is worthless because why use something might sort of help when you can have more blood points for perks and add ons. Same with the killer stick, whatever it was called.
Unless you have a mori or a map that's sided to your current side then there's really no reason to use offerings.
Offerings needs a big update and should actually put stuff on the map that changes how both sides work or grant some sort of ally. You know. Like, one spawns more crows. At least that would be visibly useful for killer.
One makes lights in certain areas flicker or turn off randomly or something. Right now offerings are BP boosters and good for little else.

I guess I'd just like to know how much the petrified oak actually effect the locations. By meters, seconds apart, is it on a % based system where it may or may not remove a hook or two from the map exc, exc...

at this point, all perks & offerings related to hooks (on both sides) are worthless IMO. should have left saboing and toolboxes alone.

I've been noticing a significant difference when running my saboteur build with Petrified Oak. However at the same time you need to remember that hook placement is entirely rng as well, so there is still a chance that two tiles adjacent to each other will have hooks spawn close to the line between two tiles.

yep its pretty much worthless to use other offerings like bp or mori.. sometimes killer sided map which arent many so why would you..
yep offerings needs total overhauld and shoudl be changed literally from scratch.. but lets be honest most of the perks on both sides are literally useless so yeah... I would love to see devs while they were creating some of these lets use a word perk... whoever made up for example mindbreaker should be fired ... its like do we want to give killers just filler perk so they will need to spend more bp on them or sometimes usefull but mostly situational perk ? or perk which alone is basically useles - nemesis, but in combination is kinda ok, but for creating specific build are not using different esential perks, or lets create meta changing perk ...

I use to run sabateur till they decided that the hooks being gone for more than 10seconds was a crime... Now they spawn back in 4 seconds after you sabo them, and with how quick you can sabo a hook has also made any add-ons to increase the sabo speed are basically worthless because the toolboxs basically run out of charges after one hook... Totally ruined the the OK system they had for this completely ######### setup now...
