Should Decisive Strike stop a Mori/kill a survivor
Does anyone else think that DS should also stop you from being Mori'd as killers who use it just instantly tunnel and there is physically nothing the survivor can do to stop being killed or tunnelled.
Anybody have any thoughts?

But if killers played fair and didn't tunnel it would make said perk pointless. Also killers run devour hope wwhich is a perk they can run ever game as well as rancor

But Decisive Strike isn't a perk you can use freely anymore, it's only used when you're downed and picked up after you were previously hooked beforehand. So having it stop a mori doesn't really do anything. Would it stop them from being mori'ed all together? Can they be mori'ed after the stun? So many questions and not a lot of answers.
It would make sense that it does stop a mori, but it's not really practical in the grand-scheme of things.

Yees they can mori them after however they are stunned and have to chase you again which is what DS does

I don't see the point if that's the case.
If you're injured you'll get downed again eventually, and if you're mori'ed early on than there's no way you're going to Survive 5-4 Generators against a Killer that might be S Tier or not. If they're not S Tier, than you'll still eventually go down and get brought out of the game. I don't think there should be a counter to mori's, there should just be more conditions to them. That would be the better alternative to the mori controversy that some players talk about from time to time... mostly when it comes to Ebonies.

No, I don't believe this should be a thing. DS is a perk that you can use when carried, that's the whole design of the perk - to be able to use it when you've been downed at any point would make it even more frustrating than it can be now.

If a killer with a mori is coming for you right after you've been unhooked and you have DS just jump in a locker. They either way out the timer or eat the DS.
Might be changed in the future as it's a fairly unpopular use of the perk, but at the moment it's still available.

But if you DS a mori it delays the game which is ultimately what it is used for. I know that i will eventually get mori'd however if you can DS it then the other survivors will have more time to get objectives complete.

Well it does a lot. Killing someone is literally the only real counter to DS (other than tunneling). So if you couldnt mori DS users, Moris would become completely useless from tactical standpoint, so ot would be useful only for being toxic

From what the OP said, you can still mori after the stun.
So going off of this hypothetical change, it would only stop them from being mori'ed for a few more seconds, at max (if they have good loops to use) a few minutes. You'll still be mori'ed, brought out of the game, and that's it.
The argument shouldn't revolve around a counter, at least my eyes, it should more-so focus on more conditions for the mori's themselves.

I agree man, the ebony Mori kinda takes the fun out of the game and there should be a way to counter it. DS would be the perfect perk to buff for that. It’s already ONLY a one time use when I already feel like it should save your butt every time you get off the hook. People want to get back in the game nobody likes being eliminated early too quickly. And it just kinda sucks I see people complaining as killer because survivors can take their leave all too fast too. Like I queued up to play too and you’re telling me it’s possible to leave the game with nothing because I couldn’t get away from a hook and got Mori’d? What kind of game is that? I love the concept but Mori’s don’t need to be a thing often or really at all. It was strange I leveled my plague up to 40 and past that I started seeing back to back ebony Mori’s. She now has 3 at 43. It’s ridiculous. Like I kinda don’t want to play anymore. Why should the killer be able to shorten the number on his objectives but survivors can’t get theirs shortened? He gets one hook then insta kill, why can’t survivors get an insta gen? Why not just eliminate the ebonys altogether and it will let people actually play the damn game. It just sucks I paid money for this game and it’s dlc and you’re telling me killers get those that often? They’re not ultra rare imo

I understand that and it is frustrating, i am happy with the ebony Mori as long as i can use DS against it, too many salty DBD killers just insta tunnel for the 4 kills, i wouldn't mind as much but when you can be waiting for a lobby for 20 minutes to just be took straight out of the game is annoying.

I'm just on about standard killing a survivor after being scum unhooked or tunnelled, if the killer kills you fairly then i don't mind that

i dont quite understand how that would work though, ill be honest.
like, will the killer just get stunned when they press M1 with a mori and you are moriable while Ds is active?
like, DS is supposed to be the survivor stabbing the killer in the back while they carry them, so how are you supposed to stab them when they literally jump at your throat and rip your organs out asap? or just step on your back and slash you until you're dead?
is it gonna be like a shuriken they throw, then stand up and start running? xD
i get that being tunneled and moried off the hook is unfun, but instead of wasting time with adding something like this i would rather having them work on an actual mori rework that maybe wont allow for such tunnels.
one idea ive seen flying around here was to only activate the mori once everyone has been hooked once, which i quite like.
though one thing stands: do NOT touch mories without nerfing keys in the process! (i really hope they listen to that, cause if they nerf one without the other the community is gonna riot)

The killer just gets stunned when they try to Mori and you make a dash for it.
My idea isn't perfect but they need to do something to sort the problem out, this was just a kind of first step solution

So you have a perk that
Breaks the killers grasp
Stuns the killer
Instantly heals you a health state
Gives you a running start to make distance between the killer
And has 0 downsides and can be used each and every game because its activation is guaranteed
And you want more from it ?

Mori's drop like water in the bloodweb and yes they can be used in every game.. And how can you say DS is a second chance perk but a Mori isnt? A mori literally makes it so the killer has to hook a survivor once instead of 3 times; severely changing the tides of the map... Hell the mere existence of a Mori in a match makes survivors play completely different.

And if you get yolo saved without Borrowed Time in front of the killer, so that you can't make it to a locker, then your teammates are to blame.

When I play killer I am not thinking about how to fairly kill you. If I leave the hook and not 10 seconds later you get unhooked I am coming back and chasing the first person I see. If it's the person that was unhooked that sucks for them but, I am not going to just let you go to be fair.

Maybe there should be a once a match skill-check perk where you grab a handful of grit, throwing it in the killer's eyes and blinding them. The perk would be active the second the killer goes for a mori. This would give the survivor the opportunity to escape from the killer.

Sorry but if someone unhooks you within seconds of me hooking you and i come back that's on your teammate not me for not waiting a few more seconds for me to go somewhere else, if they run away or hide in a locker and your left alone and the only person i find at that time that's on your teammate again they should get me to focus on them even if it is scratch marks and not you giving you a chance to get away and heal. You can blame the killer as much as you like but it's the survivors that are unhooking each other when the killer is right there then complaining because you got hit again soon as you got unhooked it's easy to fix that don't unhook a survivor if the killer just hooked them or is walking away wait a bit then do it.
As for your DS to stop mori simple answer no as DS needs to be looked at and a few things adjusted to it i.e if you start working on a gen it deactivates, if you want killers to play fair then survivors need to do the same thing and i can't see that happening.

Lol so I am ruining the game because someone a survivor decided to farm another survivor and instead of just letting the farmed survivor go I go after the first person I see. Why should I waste my time going around searching for another person to go after. Simply because someone couldn't wait for me to get far enough away to unhook.

But it should be a one-off overall, like if they use the strike when carried they don't also have the grounded escape attempt.

I've had it happen before where I didn't see that the Killer brought a Mori, and I had DS so I felt comfortable after being hooked to play a little unsafe just knowing I can land DS and potentially get away.
I was first person to get hooked, and when I got tunneled I was careless (intentionally) and the killer downed me, to my surprise I got Mori'd and the game was over for me, this all happened within like the first 2min of the match lol.
I was upset because I knew I had DS up and that was the only reason that I was playing "unsafe" for the moment. I had DS and technically 2 "hooks" left before I would have normally been dead, but due to the Mori I died immediately right away. First person to die.
In this situation I did wish that DS would have been able to stop the Mori, if I had a chance to land it, and at least worked like DS works when you get picked up. I'm not sure how unfair it would be, but I think it would still be fair in this specific situation.

Playing "fair" is the least optional thing for a killer to do. You may not believe it but going for survivors 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4 is the WORST possible way a killer can play because you give so much time for survivors.

I completely understand that but when some scum unhooks right infront of you the decent thing to do is go for the survivor who did the scum unhook, it is what i do when i am playing as the killer. Or am i the only decent human being who plays DBD and believes in sportsmanship. I know it is a super salty community but come on

While many will probably disagree, even as a Killer main, I still think this would be fair for DS to work in that situation.
Mainly because once the DS is gone, the Killer can still Mori you the rest of the game.. it only prevents it that one time you were being tunneled and were about to get picked up if they weren't about to Mori you.

Meh, no mercy from me, I guess. I honestly don't really think survivors deserve it because, you know, this community has a condition called "I know you hooked me twice, I know you downed me in 10 seconds each time but I still escape thanks to my teammates who fix gens, so gg ez, get those teabags at the exit gates, loser!" If your team sucks, can't help, I'm not missing my chance cuz missing it would be a mistake. And we all know how harshly mistakes turn out for killers, right? As a survivor I get your frustration, rank resets let bad survivors stay at red ranks so now we all enjoy being farmed but the only solution at the moment is waiting for the new matchmaking system.
