Its really hard to fix the god swfs without effecting the casuals. (Like i have 2 groups of people i play with the first 3 are red ranks like me and we communicate and dominate pretty easily) the other 3 i play with are pretty casual up there at 12 to 13 rank which because of me being red rank have to try alittle harder then theyd like. Last thing we need is for it to be even harder.

Those who mentioned the SWF percentages are using the statistics the Devs gave when the community asked for them. On PS4 solo que makes up just under 60% of the survivor base while 4 man SWF make up 2-3%, 3 man SWF make up approx 9% while 2 man SWF make up 28-29%. Hence why you might be running against SWF less then you might think you are.
I myself play on PS4 and am a Survivor main(for now) and play Solo Que and I will admit when I started I saw and got more "toxic" things from the survivor side; enough so I made my messages private. I will also say IME most killers proxy camp no matter how far I bring them away from the Gens(IME most Killers refuse to give up the chase even if it's detrimental to their game) and one of two things happen. EIther I get a good group who knock out 3-4 gens while the killer chases me or 1 or less Gens get done and two Survivors farm me more or less. Unfortunately for me running a Killer like that makes them likely to tunnel me despite the fact that I don't use flashlights, DS or Borrowed time.
I can feel a Killers side though even though I don't play as one often. Even a two man SWF if they're good can turn around a game on even a good Killer. And perhaps it does take more skill to be a Killer but Killers also don't have to worry about derpy partners. I have been in matches where I can't even finish a Gen before all three of my team is down. Someone goes down quick and two other Survivors are right there circling the hook. Then I listen to an opera of screams as my team manages to get themselves slugged or hooked in seconds. Or as I said above, I run a killer and get utterly tunneled or farmed to death.
That's not my only experience of course. I do get good or even great teams sometimes but then I'll get a string of bad teams and there goes all my Pips. I've learned though to let it roll off my back most of the time. Even times where I get Facecamped and the killer just whacks me till the Entity takes me. I never message except to tell the Killer GG and maybe to point out a funny thing I or another Survivor did that got us killed that made me Lol or facepalm if I was the dope in the instance.
TL;DR: It's best IMHO to try to remember it's a game and even if things seem unfair try to rise to the challenge and then you can feel even prouder of your accomplishments because with everything against you, you still perservered and became a better player and possibly a better person. You can still complain of course and be frustrated but for your own sake try not to let it take you to a dark place.

I took a nice lil break. Just started playing again over the weekend. Wanted to try deathslinger. Not much has changed, but I've learned to not take this game so serious anymore, and when it starts to frustrate me, or I get stuck on a ######### map with a toxic SWF team, I just quit. No point in letting them get to me, and the ban is gone the next day anyway, so 🤷♂️. I do like running Noed on deathslinger tho. Nothing is more satisfying then harpooning a butt dancer at the exit gates and getting the insta-down and kill. Lmao. This game is what it is man, and us killers just gotta deal with it. Happy hunting ghosts and ghouls

Escape from dbd is hard, but not impossible. Those people saying you’ll be back in a week have a reason for saying so.
I managed to drop it for about 3 months, from the end of the first Rift until the week before the deathslinger release. I only started playing again because I made the conscious decision to get back into it (None of my other games seemed fun at the time, so I figured “meh, why not?”)
If you really want to leave, here are some tips:
- Don’t feel guilty about letting daily rituals / rift progression go unattended. Just ignore. The first week is hardest.
- Find something that will fully hold your attention. For me it was XCOM 2. Since you’re PS4 like me, you should hopefully have this game in your ps+ library. By the time you complete this, dbd will be a distant memory.
- Engage in these forums to get your dbd fix without actually playing. You’ll also know when things have changed enough to warrant your return.
- Once you’ve removed this game’s hold over you, don’t play a match until you truly feel like giving it a try.
- Look forward you relearning the game again, to a certain extent. It’s actually quite enjoyable to rediscover your talent!
Hopefully this helps. Treat it like an addiction. Don’t give in during the first week and you’ll be in the clear!

I just came back over the weekend for deathslinger, but not really impressed. The only thing I like is being able to harpoon butt dancer's. Gives me a good laugh every time.

Is getting outplayed seriously what people are calling tryharding now?

Unbeknownst to most of the playerbase, the Green Key is the most overpowered item in the game.

Is this a Necromancer Killer idea thread?

Most of the people who replied above are survivor mains, see a few killer players too but they just come to troll you.

I can confirm this. Every game I play as killer is against a SWF team. I can't find games as survivor, the queue times are longer than 15 minutes, but I instantly find games as killer. Rank 1 by the way.

Lol. Killer mains are hilarious. "I cant get a 4k every game so delete" 😭😭😭

thanks for this insightful and helpful comment, it will forever be remembered by the community.
now please take your bait and go somewhere else, thank you.

A month ago this @Orionbash made a thread complaining about how new Freddy is OP with no counterplay and he can only win if he’s with his highly coordinated SWF. That pretty well tells us all we need to know, huh?!

Who cares about a 4k. It's when you can barley even get 2k because of all the second chance perks these SWF teams run because there way to over powered. Anyone who CAN'T see that is either a noob, or doesn't care and wants the game to be a cakewalk on sWFs. ######### players play sWFs. The real good survivors play solo because they don't need a giant crutch helping them the entire match.

I did! 😁 And Freddy still needs a mega nerf.

SwF is only a cakewalk when the killer is bad. If you don't apply any pressure to gens and just chase survivors outta position you're gonna have a bad time. But the number of killers that do this is astounding.
When I play killer Im not afraid to get creative. As an example, If I know people are doing gens and can't get to them in time I start slugging to drag them off. That combined with new ruin is a godsend.

Dude your delusional. Even the top streamers that are literally the BEST AT THIS GAME have stated the same thing. SWFs is ruining this game, and completely steals the power role without even trying...

As pointless as I think such posts are, I must admit, as a survivor (solo) I simply wanna play my games, either die or survive but sometimes I'm even a bit "scared" to play killer because I know exactly what I will come up against - bullying, teabagging, blinding red rank SWF. Those games literally make my heart pump almost through my chest. Guess you could call that the Thrill Of The Hunt (haha).
I get what you say, but maybe you could try to counter them by running some really cancerous Killer builds, so that SWF playing against you will at least be glad that the game is over, once it's over

This is by far one of the best players, and just watch. Yes, he still gets the kills, but it's only because they were idiots.

We've looked at SWF survival statistics, and it's not that big an advantage, except in cases of extremely experienced groups who play together a lot. These are rare. I think Peanits put up a graphic about this a while ago. The problem I think is that the gap isn't as big as it feels like it is.
This is not to say we should not work on the SWF gap where possible. We also know that how something feels is important, even if the numbers don't bear it out.
So as I've stated before, we do keep this in mind when adding new content. We also occasionally adjust old content with an eye to this, like the last update to Kindred.

You try hard you *hides flashlight*

What are the stats for red/purple rank SWFs?

SWF is not a problem and statistics show little advantage.
We are working on closing the gap between solo and SWF.

Right... so i have seen some people comment on my comment from last time, and i must say, it is true what you are saying: i was outplayed.
But do know that there are people out there (possibly not tryhard in this comment) that really want to ruin a killers day.
I just happend to get such an expiernience a few minutes ago, I was starting a match and was minding my business, i was killing like normal, and of course i got outplayed, but i thought: yeah thats fine, this is the game.
But all of the sudden i realized that it has been (around) 10 minutes and no gens were repaired, and i was not putting pressure on anybody. Then one of the players just disconnects out of nowhere. (Just so you know, i think this was a SFW group and that person had nothing to do with it).
I immidiatly came to the conclusion that he was having a hard time fixing the gens, but why?
So i wandered of again, and stumbled upon someone, so i chased him, and here is the part where i tell the story i told before, but this time, everyone was here.
They were t-bagging me, bodyblocking me, perking me ("perking" is a word i use of stunning or doing something to the killer with perks) and all kinds of stuff. And yeah, I was thinking: Thats just the game.
But guess what, this was not excactly the game, because they were not fixing any gens while the others were distracting me. At this point i was frustrated again, but not for me, but for the one who DC'd. I think those guys also treated that poor guy like (BAD WORD).
And this is a fact, because i'm rank 12 and get hooked up with rank 4's and 5's, but this guy for some reason popped up with rank 18.
I feel really sorry for that guy, oh and if YOU read this, my guy, i was that demogorgon in coldwind farm that could'nt find you :)
Anyway, I quited the game beacause it could'nt be finished, they were teasing me WAY to much.
So thats the end of that, I hope this was helpfull and stay safe from corona :)
(Also, feel free to comment, I will try to read them and understand them, because i am quite new to this, i started playing dbd 3 weeks ago)
