An idea for a new asymmetrical horror game

This concept came to me while playing the card game One Night Werewolf and I think it would be really fun and awesome game that could even rival dbd. It would be a whodunit horror game.

Basically there were be about 10 people playing at once and one of them at random is chosen to be the killer.

There would be two parts: Day and Night. The game would begin during the night where the killer chooses one of the other players to kill while everybody else is asleep. The killer would put on a mask and would have a set amount of time to kill the other player and hide any evidence they leave behind in the process. The killer can even plant evidence. Meanwhile the survivors job would be to try and make the killer leave behind as much evidence as possible in the process of being murdered or possibly even escape.

Then comes the Day. During the day everyone is awake and can move around the map looking for evidence to try and figure out who the killer is. At the end of the day everyone gets to vote on who they think the killer is. The person with the majority votes gets chosen and if it's not the killer the person who got picked gets taken out of the game and it goes on to the next night. If it is the killer then survivors win and everyone is awarded points based on how fast the killer was found. The killer gains points based on how long he last undetected. If no one gets a majority vote at the end of the day then no one is chosen and it goes on to the next night.

This is just a rough concept. Of course perks and various abilities or details could be added.

To counter cheating there would be no swf. The people who you play with will have to be chosen at random. There would be no communication except at the end of the day when everyone is voting. Mics will be enabled only for the players remaining and usernames will be hidden.

Any opinions? Maybe this is stupid idea or maybe it's too complicated or wouldn't work for a variety of reasons or maybe I'm just not explaining it well. In my head I'm just thinking this would be the coolest idea ever and that it would be super innovative and fun to play.

The basic idea is that each night one player is chosen by the killer to be the victim but nobody knows who the killer is. During the day everyone searches the house for evidence to try and figure out who the killer is. During this time the remaining survivors (and killer) can talk to each other to try and piece together what happened.

The game ends in three ways.

    1. The killer is found by a majority vote

    2. The survivor chosen to be the killers next victim escapes the murder attempt (but this would be very hard to pull off)

    3. It comes down to the last two players and the remaining survivor must face off against the killer. During this time it would be possible for the last person to kill the killer.

Okay I'll stop talking about it now until I get some feedback. Maybe im being stupid. I sometimes have a tendacy of thinking my ideas are better than they actually are.

Social deception games are my favorite, I have sunken waaay too much time into ToS. Anyway, this sounds really cool. It sort of reminds me of Danganronpa. I think the mechanics would need to be fleshed out a lot more, but it's a cool idea.
