Do you enjoy ruining the other sides game? Just had a game where my friend got found, hooked, unhooked then moried immediately. We didn't escape because a 3v1 will never end well for survivors, I was the last one and hatch got closed so I just dced because I would've lost my pips and barely got any bloodpoints. (It was on Macmillan so the doors were right beside each other and it was billy) I know that survivors do act scummy (we wasn't, we just spawned in and got found) but does that really justify ruining the game for yourself and everyone else because you don't wanna deal with them? I'm not saying it's scummy to kill survivors with moris, it's just when you bring a mori to kill everyone as soon as the game starts and they have nothing to do because it's a 3v1 now. Yes, I do know it's the job as killers to kill everyone but what do you gain from moriing everyone 2 minutes into the game? A black pip and maybe 10k points.

Tl:dr why do you mori people 2 minutes into the match even though you gain nothing from it.

(Changed the title and a few words in the first sentence, but I'm not rewriting this whole essay, just think of survivors as the other side your playing against)

    I mean, plenty of killers would answer the first question with a resounding "yes". They are happy to tell you here that they don't care whether or not they ruin anyone else's game - citing the number of times their own games felt ruined. LOL

    I mean..idk...ruining other people's games just because you lost a kill or two is a pretty scummy thing to do imo.

    Well i play as killer myself, also play survivor. Alot of people be they survivor or killer are rather chill dudes. Going gg at the end. Bit of friendly chat and all that. Yet from time to time you do come across these people who just want to ruin someone day. It's not really a killer thing or survivor thing. It's just an individual thing. Some people just act like jerks for they think they can get away with it [or are jerks in real life]. Due to no one knowing who they are online.

    I mean, do you enjoy ruining a Killers day by popping four gens in three minutes? Or looping him around (the soon to be hopefully gone) infinites? Or tea-bagging and flashlight blinding them at every opportunity you have?

    The question goes both ways, but you need to remember it's only the minority that are Toxic when it comes to both sides. They just make themselves more known than the rest.

    In the rare event I bring an Ebony Mori, I never Mori someone unless at least 3 gens are done.

    But some killers, yes. They enjoy ruining survivors games. (But ruin their games... and they'll complain endlessly)

    You answered your own question. They do gain something from it - significantly increased likelihood of an eventual win.

    Remember that those killers you're talking about probably don't bring a mori into every single match (not least because they probably don't earn enough bloodpoints to sustain such a habit). Many killers will occasionally bring something really powerful like an Ebony Mori just because they want to feel powerful for a change. Everyone likes to feel like the alpha. It's not about ruining other people's experience, it's about being able to relax and enjoy an easy win once in a while.

    I have seen both sides act seriously scummy when i play killer or survivor, i get that people are having bad days or something but It doesn't excuse you from acting like a jerk and actively trying to make sure everyone has the least fun possible, when I'm survivor I just want a decent amount of bloodpoints and help my teammates to escape even if I have to die for them, when I play killer I don't take the game so seriously and I meme around and get a few kills. Idk, imo it just drains the fun out of the game and makes me wanna quit. I should probably change the post name to question for players or something like that

    There is nothing that says all your games should be super happy big fun times. Mathieu Cote has said in the past that DBD should be frustrating at times.

    Im not saying that all games should be fun and exiting, It should be frustrating at times, but when I wait 15 minutes for a lobby to get moried after 60 seconds passed then it becomes a unfun game to play and makes me wonder why I'm still playing the game.

    Yeah some people will just use any reason to be a jerk. When truthfully, they should really know how awful it is to be on the other end of someone being well nasty. If the reasoning they are using is someone else acted like a jerk towards them. Then they should know, all they did was take it out on innocent strangers who had nothing to do with it.

    Maybe... don't get downed twice in less than 60 seconds? If you get chased at the start then you have an entire map worth of pallets and loops that havent been used yet, so I mean.

    I get where you're coming from, but generally if you can waste a killer's time early they're less likely to stay on you since it will cost them gens.

    I get that. People want a easy game once and awhile but it does ruin the game for survivors because they can't really do anything in that situation unless one guy can run the killer for 5 gens lol.

    That's true, but on the other hand it's not like most survivors worry about the killer's fun when they're popping generators like their lives depend on it. I play both sides, historically more survivor than killer, so I do get it, but at the same time you can't blame someone for trying to complete their objective efficiently, or for using powerful items they've earned to do so.

    Let me get this straight, I get downed, hooked and a random farms me then a killer can easily come to me down me and mori me. My friend got hooked, I unhooked him when he killer was far enough away then guess what, the killer came straight back to him and moried him instantly, he was in the game for maybe 2 or 3 minutes. I get that there's a bunch of pallets but it doesn't excuse this.

    Well their lives do kinda depend on it lol, I know that other people are different but I usually make sure killers have at least a few hooks in or something to count for bloodpoints, if not I usually max out on bloodpoints and give them a kill. It is their job to kill survivors but I don't like losing my rank just because someone wanted a too easy game. Just kinda wish devs would do something about these types of things.

    Couple things

    1) Yes some people want to ruin other people's experiences. Happens everywhere in life. Some people are ducks

    2) Sometimes a killer will get destroyed and humiliated and decide they want a chance to play an easy game. So next team gets the anger release.

    3) Like you said, making it a quick 3v1 allows the killer to play a little less stressfully. Be an ass to not play as an ass so to speak

    4) Disconnecting caused you to lose all your pips anyway. You would have at least kept some points.

    Most points I got from that match was 7k or below. I could've bought a total of 2 items of common rarity if Im lucky

    A survivor's goal is to attempt to escape. The most effective way is to pound out gens like they are going out of fashion so you can open the gates and escape. If you have the opportunity to use a key for the hatch escape, you should take it.

    For killers, their goal is to try to stop survivors from escaping. When 1 player is going up against a team a four, the one player team wants to weaken the four player team. If it can be done in an efficient way, removing 1 out of the 4 players is the best choice for the single player team.

    Queue times are a different story...I let my survivor rank drop to 20 and I just don't have the patience to wait for survivor games, when I can get nonstop games as a killer. My killer dropped to brown rank since i got sucked into db kakarot, and i was able to still get games quickly. I actually liked playing solo survivor even if i got mori'd or camped or what not...

    The more time he has to waste on you to get those downs, the more time your team has to make him lose because of it. If you're on comms with someone, you have even more opportunity to convey that information. Sometimes Moris are like DS in that they're more effective at making people play a certain way out of fear of them than their actual impact has. Just keep calm and carry on, and if you die, then you can hop right back in the queue for another one.

    That is true, lol - I thought about adding that when I wrote the comment but decided against it.

    I do understand what you mean about the pips. I would say that it shouldn't matter too much since moris are so rare and your rank would therefore even out over time regardless, but they're really not as rare as they should be. I've said for a long time that the only unbalanced thing about moris is their rarity, but that's another discussion.

    Perhaps we might hope that a feature of the new matchmaking system might be that the drop in one's MMR is less if killed by a mori, and the increase is greater if one manages to survive a mori, or something to that effect.

    I absolutely agree, as a survivor main. I'm just predicting the response to this question based on the attitudes I've seen from Killers in this forum.

    I find it more fun to toy with my survivors and stall out the game longer than any killer has the right to. A good game for me will go for over 10 minutes, compared to the average 5. Combining a set of hit-and-run along with general stalling and the occasional slug can make a game pretty interesting with how long they can go, and still give fantastic results in terms of rank.

    Then again, I've also had quite a drop in killer rank over the past two resets, but I've had purple rank Survs while playing as a low-green/high-yellow rank killer.

    I rarely run Moris but if I do I use them on last hook if it's a chill solo game. If it's a sweaty SWF I am forced to use them immediately.
