DS nerf idea
Ok we all know ds actually isn't that anti-tuneling perk it's meant to be, but is used by survivors to get a 1 minute invincibility period. And that has a huge impact on slowing down the killer momentum. So, here is my suggestion: ds deactivates when another survivor is hooked, without considering the timer. What y'all think about it?

Make it so if you do gens it deactivates. You're not being tunneled if you can do a gen.
9 -
That’s not even a suggestion but a copy-paste from the patch notes of an alternative universe where the balance team is not entierly incompetent.
That’s how it should work. There is littearly no reason for it to be still up when an other survivor is hooked. I rarely tunnel only when needed, but I got hit by DS today even though I hooked 2 survivors after the guy I got hit from (pretty good job so far). And for some reason survivor players tend to ignore this side of DS because they know, anti tunnel is not what they use it for. Still that’s what they come up with when someone ask for a nerf that could put this broken perk in line with the others.

I mean, the amount of times I've seen someone have to save while the killer has someone on their shoulder is pretty high, so my teammates DS is just deactivated because he was saved while someone was on the killers shoulder?
1 -
Here we go again. And again: No. Take a look at the other hundred threads.

You get saved, you have a gen next to you that's been started, you get on it, killer starts coming back to hook and goes after you because you're dead on hook after just being saved.... Sounds like tunneling to me.
2 -
The only change DS warrants is deactivating it at end game, at that point you haven't been tunneled because you're still alive after everything is powered on, any other change is simply pandering to bad killers.
1 -
I actually like this. I think DS is fine as is. But Borrowed time into DS is terrible for the EGC. Leave a killer helpless. It's like auto escapes if you have more then one teammate alive. Maybe this would help.
1 -
Now it’s simply pandering to bad and cocky survivors. It’s meant to be an anti tunnel tool, change it so it actually does what it supposed to do and nothing else simple as that.

Sorry that a 5 second stun is the difference between you winning and losing, DS is fine as is, completely avoidable (except for end game).
1 -
So if I, the killer, hook two people after you and you are still able to DS me, that makes me a bad killer? Alright, enjoy being slugged for a minute after each hook but stop complaining about survivor 'fun' because it's disingenuous in nature.
0 -
ok so slug the person lmao, you've literally just given a counter to DS, good job, you're finally figuring it out.
1 -
What about survivor fun though? Aren't we supposed to care about that?
0 -
You can’t just say that without backing up your statement lol. No it’s not fine as it is and you know it. And it’s not just about the stun. The killer has to respect DS every time when he gets to a survivor who were recently hooked but again, not tunelled.
0 -
Uhm, devs have never stated that they plan to change the way slugging is so I'm not entirely sure what your point is besides being pedantic because you don't have a point to make.
0 -
No no, ds is perfectly fine, I don't run it as a survivor and I very very rarely get hit by it as a killer, I'm sorry you struggle to play this game :(

You're trying too hard to be sarcastic.
1 -
You still have no point to make. You’re just talking trash. :’D
Do you even know how a discussion works? Because you are in one and loosing it.
0 -
Not really we have different opinions, mine is based on the 4600 hours I have, the only issue DS has is end game, anything before that is fine
0 -
Not really, you've made no point at all besides memeing and using the "but survivors fun is important ISNT IT" thing, which isn't a point, you gave a counter to what you're supposedly having issues with... so try using it in game? lmfao

Your play time won’t back up anything without an actuall point. You say DS is fine as it is overperforming by being atctive long after tunneling is no longer possible (because someone else is hooked). Your “opinion” is it’s fine, because you know how strong it is, and you wanna keep using it. (Sorry but I don’t beleve you’re not using it, even I do). Honestly that’s not an opinion but greed.

Here's 10 hours of me playing survivors, feel free to skip through the matches and see that I don't run DS, ever, unless I roulette it when someone redeems it, sorry that I have proof I don't use DS and still think it's fine https://www.twitch.tv/videos/587079637

I don't think they understand that people often use DS after other people are hooked to be toxic and to bait the killer into being stunned. If it were one person that would be fine, but it can be hard to keep track of four people's DS timers if you're already snowballing. Being hit by DS out of the blue by somebody who you didn't feel you tunneled to have them teabag and blind you is pretty ######### #########. SenzuDuck is being willfully ignorant to that fact by acting like slugging every survivor is a good solution when the game's objective is to hook other survivor. I've pointedly gone after a different survivor than one that was just unhooked to avoid tunelling and still been hit with DS.

True, honestly there is no point in this conversation anymore. I just hope devs realize that the only people who actually think DS doesn’t need to be changed is like him...Ignoring logic and common sense is not very inteligent, and the last thing they should listen to is people like that.

I don't use DS, and it's fine, logically, the only time it ever could affect me negatively is when I play killer, yet here I am saying it's fine. I'm not sure it is I who lacks intelligence and common sense.

Here's what it needs to be personally, If we wanna fix this problem once and for all.
Revert the stun time to 4/4.5/5 Seconds. But have this be the perk's effect

This format will make sure, that the killer can't just chase the new survivor whom got BT, and was good at a loop or escape, get downed, and just g et hooked again, this way it will encourage the killer to leave them alone entirely until another survivor is hooked. This also would help with the last survivor in the game having DS if you just hooked the other survivor in the trail with them (assuming two other survivors are already dead)

I would normaly say that this reply of yours makes no ######### sense. But I feel bad so okay dude, we beleve whatever you trying to say in order to defend the most broken perk in the game.

This. Littearly what every sane person asks for.

Thanks

I spent a total of 10 minutes finding the format to create that screenshot, and I think it fits.

But why don't you just start running? If you are unhooked, on death hook and you know the killer comes back, why don't you try to get distance to lose LoS or try to loop the killer a bit longer so your team could get to that gen? It's like @CheersTC said, if you have time to touch/go back to that gen, you are not beeing tunneled. Also if the killer see's someone with BBQ, doesn't find him, goes back because he don't want to lose time and protect that gen and you are sitting right next to it what do you think is he going to do? He tries to down you so you can't keep on working. I don't think thats tunneling because you want to get the objective rather than saving your life. Also thats the reason why people don't like the current DS because they sit in front of your face doing objectives instead of running away. If you are clearly beeing tunneled, then you aren't even affected the slightest by a DS change that deactivates when you interact with a gen/locker/totem, because you won't have any time for that or if you try to hide to not get tunneled and the killer finds you then you also aren't affected by a change.
1 -
If you're on a hook in a dead zone and an injured teammate comes and farms you in front of the killers face without BT, the killer will down the unhooker and after that down you. He just has to hook your unhooker and your DS deactivates, then he hooks you after that and you had no chance to do anything. I personally don't think thats fair at all and the reason why i personally don't like a change that only requires to hook someone else to deactivate your DS.
2 -
DS shouldn't work after the gens have been done.
Borrowed time should also not work after the gens have been done.
0 -
They made pop 45 seconds. Don't see why they don't do that for DS. If the killer is actually tunneling then 45 seconds should be enough. Not sure about the gen thing people are saying because it's like punishing survivors for what they are supposed to be doing. I would prefer a deactivation for when snobby survivors with DS jump into lockers instead lol
