An old combo
Now I hope a lot of people understand this but back in old times of Dead by Daylight or even today does anyone run spine chill and premonition together. When I first started playing this game I ran both of those perks together and it was a lot of fun. I hope people still do it because both perks are really good. I don't know which is better but I'd like to think they are both equally good in terms of letting you know where the killer is

There's no reason to run both; premonition is already just a worse version of spine chill anyways. I do remember seeing that combo a lot, in fact I think I used to run it too lol.

Omg I used to run them XD! Not anymore though since Spine chill is better nowadays.

I do remember those days. I don't think it would be as effective as it used to be. Back then, everyone thought the Wraith was OP and built specifically to counter him. Oh how times have changed, we were all so innocent back then. The level of skill has gone up significantly since then and most people can play around him without it, although Spine Chill is still a solid choice no matter which killer you're going against.

- Premonition: warns you that you look at Killer 32m away
- Spine chill: warns you that Killer looks at you 32m away
Both are equal
- Premonition: cool down 30sec after activated
- Spine chill: constantly working without cool down
Spine chill wins
- Premonition: no side effect
- Spine chill: 6% faster at doing objective
Spine chill wins

You forgot that Premonition detects killers who have that 'Undetectable' status effect (I think it's called that?) and Spine chill doesn't, so Premonition can detect a crouching Pig, but Spine chill won't.

When you say "Spine Chill" is still a solid choice, i assume you dont think the same way about premonition.
Have you and the dev team considered to change/buff this perk in the not so distant future?

I think if we bring them both have cool down effect (like 30sec)
- Premonition: if players camera at Killer direction for 1sec, it activated
- Spine chill: if Killer camera at players direction for 1sec, it activated
Both perk will be equal
But that will nerf Spine chill that Survivors will not like it. Think about buff Premonition abit and nerf Spine chill abit, with their side effect perhaps

Spine Chill is fine as is. It just gives you an idication that the Killer is heading to you. It doesn't tell you what direction they're coming from and Killers can counter it by moon walking.

You forget about smaller skill check zones and that Premonition gives you the direction, where the killer is coming from.
You might say "skillchecks are ez" but when comparing them, you should list all points, and not just the few that "win" for you. And the second I mentioned is especially in indoor maps a very important information. But also on other maps, it is not always obvious or just "map awareness" to know where the killer is coming from.

I think it's good at doing what it's supposed to do; showing you where the killer is approaching from. I don't think it's going to appeal to most people, but for a newer player or someone who's playing more stealthy, knowing not only that the killer is coming but also where they're coming from can be a big help. It's something that might help you as you learn the game.

It wasn't written in the wiki, but goddamn Spine chill just trumps premonition then at everything.

Thanks for the information. You might be right that it is a good perk for beginners.

It is a good combo. When i returned to the game I played a few games with that old meta build, classic claudette. And.... It still works as expected against any killer, spine chill warns you and premonition help you figuring out the exact position of the killer.
I think people forgot the potential of triangulation premonition has.
Besides all of that I understand that I can waste more killer time by let him chasing me with some exhaustion perks than trying to hide in a bush.

I remember one match I was playing against people who were running Spine Chill.
I noticed that they would be gone by the time I approached the gen they were working at with no scratch marks indicating where they went. I put two and two together and just kinda moonwalked back and caught them lol. Another time I just went all the way around without looking at the gen and did the same thing and had the survivor walk into me
Easy mind game I guess lmao
