The reason why i not find this game fun anymore.
I just returned to this game in the first week of January after nearly 3 years of break. The reason i left then is that my pc was not strong enough to run the game properly. In 2016-2017 this game was awesome. I was killer main this time and mained killers as i returned too. The first thing what i noticed when returned is the game speed. Games back then when i played this game first, was 12-15 mins at least, but now... 5-6 mins maximum. Generators are flying. The second thing what i noticed is the horrible matchmaking.... i get easily red ranks as a green and even yellow rank killer, and this kills the remaining fun what game speed not killed... I really asking you guys.... how this game got to this state what it is in right now? If i not take a long break may i adapt to this changes and it would not irritate me so much? What will the future of this game be if it continues like this?

Weird, my matches average around fifteen minutes. Time flies faster than I gave credit for until I ran a timer out of curiosity. Boy was I wrong about thinking matches were only five minutes long. Turns out I was just wasting a lot of my time available in matches.

Yup and you gotta have all the best perks to stand a chance as a killer

As far as I can tell, not much has changed between 2017 to now in terms of gen speed of the gens themselves. The devs removed Ruin. That's probably the main difference for most people, since it was such a common perk. Most people complain about map size being the issue, but new maps are similar or smaller in size to legacy maps you would be used to. Gen speeds are getting slowed in the next patch and great skill checks are getting a bonus reduction, in addition to maps being made smaller, loops being closed, palettes being reduced or made unsafe, and more dead space. There have also been quite a few killer/survivor/environmental changes that have actually eased QoL issues for killers in the last year+ due to the imbalance with SWF (before anyone says it, with the exception of Ruin🙄).
Matchmaking is known to be broken. It is easier to rank up as survivor, but you tend to get less BP, and harder to rank as killer but they tend to wrack up BP easier. So while its pretty silly that a purple or green killer is consistently going against red/purple rank survivors, it's not really that unbalanced, since the skill level is probably pretty similar in a lot of cases.
Moral of the story - the killers job will get easier with the next patch. Most killers are already very strong against random teams without communication.

I played a lot of solo survivor. Like a lot. And yeah, I noticed after the last patch the gens actually got faster. Not a LOT faster, but enough to make me chuckle the first time I played after the new patch, as I was thinking about all the salty killer mains I knew were complaining about gen speeds.
Then I started playing killer main... (╥﹏╥)

I agree with you 100% on that, maybe we can be friends after all :D
People will point the finger at survivors and killers for the issues the game has, but reality is this is what happened when BHVR tried to "balance" the game from stats instead of gameplay.
And yes, solo is more difficult than SWF by far, but it can be enjoyable if you like a challenge.

I give you credit for playing both sides and discovering the truth. Many claim "nothing is wrong. Just apply pressure and git gud" yet they don't play killer. They say they hit r1 both sides but when you hit r1 is a big difference. If you hit r1 before the emblems id say you played killer well. After emblems it's not hard to rank up. After ruin was destroyed, ranking up as survivor is easy.

Survivors just realised they could do gens and leave. And it's a super easy strat. The only way to counter it is to be very good and a bit lucky. Plus they realised that 2 people.om gens is a good thing, and the Devs actually.came out and said that you should always expect to lose 2-3 gens in the first 2 minutes.
Other than that, the game is heading into its most balanced form. The Devs are systematically scrapping god loops and spacing out tiles, and generator speeds are getting somewhat normalised (although they are focusing on what 4 people on a gen can do, not what 2 people on a gen can do).

Dont know what games you play that go maximum 5-6 minutes. That would mean one side is too bad for this game. Also gentimes didnt change.

There are not a lot of red rank killers, this game is for survivors man, Devs say several times that there aren't genrush and it is just in your mind haha . A lot of red killers left the game since ruin was nerfed and nurse..

haha yeah, I get it now, for the most part. I've found that the higher the rank, the more toxic the survivor, and the opposite for killers for the most part. It wouldn't be a problem if the matchmaking actually worked. Almost all the matches I played today as killer were me (bb killer at rank 16) against red and purple ranks, some green, and almost no lower ranks. Pretty sure a majority were SWF too. The super sweaty kind that hook rush and body block, flashlight click and teabag.
Held my own alright for a few matches.
Never had an issue with the old ruin either btw, even as solo survivor. It spiced things up
